  1. C'mon guys, the Stuart B tonneau is a quality bit of kit - much better than the Nissan effort.
  2. Didn't know I had a better half? I don't as I'M the better half Only joking, she's pretty special, well she better be as were getting married on the Las Vegas strip this Friday I know I suprised her with George Michael tickets in Vegas. We then scraped our big wedding plans for next year and do it in Vegas. We then have to organise a massive marquee recpetion within 4 weeks. We then find out yesterday that she is up the duff too Perhaps the most expensive 2/3 weeks of my life Wow, you don't do things by halves do you! Well double congrats in order then. I'll keep an eye out for my invitation in the post....

  4. Having seen several K1s on my recent travels I must admit that it does resemble Phils. I guess Phil didn't knock up the design on the back of a fag packet in a quiet moment.
  5. To my untrained eye this does look uncannily similar to a K1. Any owners care to comment?
  6. +2 Best idea is to drive both (back to back if possible) and see if you can feel any major improvement in the performance and interior quality. If not, your decision is made and you can save some bucks.
  7. Hi and welcome! The glovebox behind the passenger seat has a false floor for hiding stuff under.
  8. And I though I was taking on a big commitment with a rescue dog this weekend! Anyway, congratulations to you and Mrs Sarnie! You won't know what's hit you....
  9. +35 all round, Liam.. I can space them 3, 5 or 7mm, but at the moment, I have no spacers as they are wider then the 18" Rays and therfore sit further apart. Might try 3mm later in the week. +35 You'll need bigger than 3mm spacers, more like 20mm 20mm sounds a bit much. 15mm sounds better.
  10. Oh, I've come across a few.
  11. Genuine Nissan ones aren't real carbon fibre.
  12. You don't need a new Y-pipe but that is the most restrictive part of the OEM exhaust.

Seriously, get the exhaust first and then think about the cats. Its loud without the y-pipe, louder if you get the less restrictive y-pipe and could be too much with cats as well.
  14. Rims look great. However, it does need dropping. Coilovers are the way to go and I would suggest the KW Variant 3 which seem to be highly thought of. They'll costs around £1k but improve the handling and don't wreck the ride. PS Martinmac has these so a PM may be in order.

Only early JDMs had the ECU that doesn't cancel out gains - not all.

All cars are fitted with catalytic converters as standard to reduce pollution. Their design also reduces noise and flow from the exhaust. Removing them (decat) increases the noise and should increase flow and therefore power. On the Zed however the ECU dials back any power increases. The downsides to decatting are the fact that it will not pass an MOT, may throw up warning lights on your dash and seem to result in a significant loss of torque. High flow cats can be bought to replace the standard items which improve flow, increase sound but don't have the detrimental effects mentioned above. HTH
  17. My first one didn't feel properly loose and at its best until 10k. I've got just 2.3k on my MY07 and it feels fantastic. I'm hoping that like the old one it just keeps getting better.
  18. Organise your own courier - its already been asked and he's said yes and that he'll bubble wrap it. www.personalshipper.com
  19. I think Flirt has a Magnaflow and was very happy with it. I don't know why people flogging second hand exhausts don't polish them up a bit. A little work and suddenly they look 100 times more desirable.
  20. Thanks for the feedback guys. Sussed this out myself about midnight last night along the lines you suggested.
  21. Yes. Otherwise should you wish to make a claim the assessor will mention them and the insurance company will say that you failed to disclose modifications which may have effected their decision to provide you with a policy and try to avoid paying out. Could be a very expensive mistake.
  22. Have you offered him £250?
  23. Ok, lets preface this by saying that I'm an IT numpty. I've got an ipod and have itunes installed on my work laptop with all my stuff on. So far, so good. We've bought Mrs Digsy's dad a nano for Father's Day and we wanted to put some music he might like on it. I figure that if I hook it up to the work laptop it'll try and download all my music until its full, so that's no good. Now I've got an old laptop which I keep downstairs and just use to access the net. So I come up with the clever idea of downloading itunes on to it and popping a couple of albums on then dowloading on to the nano. However, halfway through the instal it throws up an error to say it can't access mypictures on the work laptop. First, I can't understand why it would need to access mypictures and, second, why it would want to access the other laptop???? I allowed sharing of the mypictures folder on the work laptop but it still kept throwing up the message. I then disabled the wireless card in the hope that it wouldn't think it was part of a network but no joy. I'm getting pee'd off now. Can anyone help or offer an alternative solution?
