Ok, lets preface this by saying that I'm an IT numpty.
I've got an ipod and have itunes installed on my work laptop with all my stuff on. So far, so good. We've bought Mrs Digsy's dad a nano for Father's Day and we wanted to put some music he might like on it. I figure that if I hook it up to the work laptop it'll try and download all my music until its full, so that's no good.
Now I've got an old laptop which I keep downstairs and just use to access the net. So I come up with the clever idea of downloading itunes on to it and popping a couple of albums on then dowloading on to the nano. However, halfway through the instal it throws up an error to say it can't access mypictures on the work laptop.
First, I can't understand why it would need to access mypictures and, second, why it would want to access the other laptop???? I allowed sharing of the mypictures folder on the work laptop but it still kept throwing up the message. I then disabled the wireless card in the hope that it wouldn't think it was part of a network but no joy.
I'm getting pee'd off now. Can anyone help or offer an alternative solution?
