  6. Nice car, Dan, but the missus won't go for an auto. Looking at an 03 CR-V with 75k at the mo'. Anyone know anything to watch out for on high mileage CR-V's?

+1 Not that I coast but why . I take it that it don't do the car any favours? Nah, I just didn't buy a 3.5 litre sports car to coast around in...
  8. Sonny, I ran the Rotrex system in the Purple Sumo 350Z [Hercules] for around one year and it was extremely reliable and very quiet as it runs planetary rollers instead of traditional toothed gears. I ran it on standard internals @ at a safe 365 bhp with standard belt pulleys. At the same time on my other Zed I was running an ATI Procharger C2 but that is a story for another day. You should find all the information that you require @ www.rotrex.com but in the meantime find below a brief summary. The HKS Rotrex Supercharger Kits for the 350Z are the only s/c forced induction systems for the aftermarket from HKS. The centrifugal type supercharger features a unique traction drive, with a closed oil circulation system. The traction drive utilizes fixed ratio planetary rollers that are more efficient then traditional gear-wheels. Because the planetary rollers do not have teeth like traditional gear-wheels noise is decreased and reliability is increased. The closed oil circulation system cycles a specially-formulated Traction Oil that lubricates and cools the supercharger, dramatically increasing longevity and reliability. The Traction Oil is cooled through a liquid to air oil cooler included with each kit. All HKS Rotrex Supercharger Kits are developed as complete bolt-on systems. For certain applications HKS will include a front-mount air-to-air intercooler, Super Mega Flow intake, Bypass Valve, additional injectors, upgraded fuel pump and S/C Fuel Computer. Also included with each kit is a high-performance cast aluminum bracket which has been precisely engineered to reduce noise and vibration. Kit Overview Manufacturer HKS Application 2003-2005 350Z Base PSI 7psi Base Power 315hp Base Torque Compressor Rotrex C30-94, HKS Turbine, Centrifugal with planetary friction rollers Intercooler Air-to-Air front mount intercooler (1/2 width) Piping Mandrel bent aluminum intercooler piping, Cast aluminum intake tube. HKS has swapped out the compressor in favor of their own turbine housing and wheel. Hope this helps, Cheers, Alex. Informative as always, Alex. Isn't there a Zed with this on Pistonheads?

    New mod!

I'm off to watch some paint dry....
  10. No discernible difference in ride for me going from 18" wheels with the RE040s to 19" with Falkens. Probably down to the stiff sidewalls on the 'Stones.
  11. Hi mate. Welcome aboard! Looking like a tasty want-list but I'd give the test pipes a miss as you'll lose loads of torque. Borla's an interesting choice of exhaust - why that?
  12. Mike, was that the case even on the 2nd gen Saggy-arse?
  13. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=18359 http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/tvrpreviewevent.asp Lets just enjoy a glimmer of hope for an exciting British marque before the doom-mongers arrive and point out that the verge of recession isn't the best time to be relaunching a car like the Sag. I'm delighted and wish them every luck...
  14. Hi and welcome, Rob! Stick to 18"s if you intend to do a lot of track work or want ultimate handling, 20"s if you're looking for bling but the best compromise for looks and handling has to be 19"s. Most people go for a staggered combo such as 8.5/9.5, 9/10, or 9.5/10.5 front/rear. Design is obviously personal taste and budget is down to you but finding a lighter wheel will pay dividends with the handling.

Z4 is a good little car and its chassis is in a different league to the Crossfire - the SLK chassis wasn't much good when the Merc used it! Also IIRC there are two 2.5 Z4's and you would want the higher power version. Maybe we're not as affluent here on Merseyside but you still don't see many Z4's around.
  16. OZ Supertourismo I don't think so - more detail on the OZ. http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/ ... lver+Paint think you could be right looking closer they could be the Mille Miglia F20 http://www.notre350z.com/forum/viewpost_14031.html Tres bien, Monsieur Grand Phil!
