I don't think anythings too posy for me But to be fair, I just don't like the murci at all. I know its the superior car but i just don't like them. Aesthetics is virtually everthing to me. Evo's and scooby's are better machines than the zed but look like pig @*!# hence why i love my zed Buy a kit car replica then and save a fortune....

Send Tim (lomoto) a PM. He's had a lovely quality retrim done.

It's the old story of a few spoiling it for the rest. There's certainly some good ebay sellers out there, but equally lot's of knicked and crap stuff sold by dodgy sellers. I use eBay but always carefull when buying expensive items, i.e. over £50 or so. My daughter just had a good experience selling her car for £3,300. That was er starter price. Someone bid on it, and tuned up 3 days after the end of the auction cash in hand. They were decent people and were happy with the car and paid up in full. She had the car advertised for £3600 ono on Autotrader for 3 weeks and never got a viewing.

I perhaps may prefer the yellow but just reluctant as my zed is yellow. I love the orange just as much and the one I have been looking at has the 06 Callisto wheels (£5k!!) and Tubi zorst (£2.5k!!!) but is manual! I think Im gonna struggle to find the exact spec I want without going waay over budget WHy do you prefer the E-Gear over the manual? First off the egear is cool and i'm a sucker for gadgets like that Secondly the egear applies hardly any strain on the clutch which is the weakpoint of the Gallardo. I have been reading up over the last few days and there are a lot of horror stories about of people having to pay £4k for a new clutch to be fitted and it then going again 300 (yes 300) miles later I know the BMW M6 SMG limits the power some how to ensure clutches don't burn out. They have just bought out an M6 manual and the first gear apparently is noticeable restricted. Sounds like the germans have held the manual back until it is product tested and reliable. The thing to remember though is 4 wheel drive means great traction so lots of stress on the drive train. A 2 wheel drive car will wheel spin. £4k for a clutch though is daft. I've got an Alcon Paddle Race clutch in the Cossie. Cost about £400 and is rated over 500 bhp. So far it's took loads of pounding on the track. You may find companies like AP and Alcon do a replacement for Lambo's, especially if they are raced. However, I agree though that the standard clutch should be up to the job and rated to handle more than the standard power.

Is the e-gear a proper SMG with clutches as Ferrari's and Maser's. When I was considering a Maser, I enquired about servicing and this was the most expensive thing. Clutches wear out in an average of 15k miles depending on how you drive and cost £1.5k to change. I would expect a Lambo to potentially be more expensive and wear the clucthes faster...

The zed parade lap was cool but this is cooler...........

Love F40's. Saw one at Greypaul, (Ferrari Garage), when I went for a test drive in a Maser. THey had it in the garage for a service. The engine was soooo loud and sounded awesome. Raw and brutal.... Pretty good investment too as they pretty much are holding their value. -
Papa Roach playing now...

For that sort of cash I'd wait until you get the exact spec you want comes up.... then again I never work that way myself me neither! I tend to buy things on an impulse. On tuesday I was driving home bored and thought i'd pop into the lambo dealership. Now I'm on the brink of selling me zed A man after my own heart as they say. I went into a BMW dealership just considering my next car in 6 months time. Well that's what I told the Salesman. A deal was offered me I just couldn't resist and I ended up calling the missus to say "I think I've just bought a car". By Sunday morning 11am it was mine.

For Sale - Renault Megane Coupe - Yellow!
Kev946 replied to Kev946's topic in Spotted on Ebay or Other
Nice one well done Thanks mate. She was hoping for more but the new one was such a bargain price it didn't matter in the end. She would have been happy with a 2004 so a 2005 was a bonus. -

Granted but I can't afford to go above 90k and thats a stretch. That Ferrari is another 60k You can get a nice Ferrari for £90k...
-
I think you need to take your time matey and be sure you know what you want. In the meantime take lots of test drives...

OMG I can afford that But i don't like it They look faboulous in the flesh. So wide and low... I was considering a 550 or 575 Maranello as they are a bargain supercar now. It was the maintenance that put me off. Costs £5k to change the cam belts as the engine has to come out.... See http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/179096.htm

Murcielago is the only one for me. This ones a bargain. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/169357.htm For something a bit different I reckon a Bimmer Z8 is a good buy as they seem to really be holding their price. Porkers do nothing for me, and 360's and 430's always somehow look a bit Gumball chavvy if you know what I mean.

You've hit the nail on the head really. I promised myself I'd have one before I was 30 which is in two years time. My first month in business has tripled my projected figures and show no signs of abating. I'm going to buy it, run it for two years, and then sell up and cut my losses. I'm going to keep it to the 7500 miles a year service limits therefore it will only have an extra 15k on the clock in 2 years. The dealership reckoned that you lose £1.50 per mile driven in the lambo. In two years, or even sooner, I'll sell up get married, have kids and resort to a Ford Galaxy safe in the knowledge that 'I had a Lamborghini Gallardo' Can I ask what you business is Liam. I'm self employed. Maybe I should think of doing something different... I started my own mortgage brokerage in April I guess anything to do with property nowdays is a safe bet. Good luck with it, although it sounds like you don't need thta now...

I agree on the Porchse front. I've never been comfortable in owning one. I even pushed myself and test drove a 997 Carrera S before buying the Bimmer, but felt what's all the fuss about. Crap sound from the engine too....and it's in the wrong place. Preferred the Maser TBH and nearly biught one, but went for a more sensible car in the end. Mind you, just been invited to the launch of the Maser Gran Turismo in London... Luv a Lambo though, especially the Mercialargo....now I bet that's spelt wrong...
