  1. I just want the number plate, I will leave the keys alone Don't suppose you know of anyone with these right connections Gus ? There is an alternative plate that I could buy which is cheaper but as I intend to keep the plate for all future cars then I would mind paying the extra and getting the perfect plate. Well perfect plate isn't the word as I can't afford that one I once owned a plate which I got fed up with and couldn't sell it despite trying hard. In the end Arnold Clark messed up putting the plate on retention and couldn't fix their mistake without my help so I said I would sue for damages if they didn't give me cash for what I paid for the plate and my £105 back for putting it on retention. Sweet revenge on AC Then the last plate I had was P20G CC which was sold for a good profit Never had a private plate for the Z and wouldn't mind getting one.
  2. There is a plate that I saw for sale once about 2 years ago on a car forum and due to price at the time, I didn't buy it. Now I woud be interested in trying to get a plate but don't have anyway of tracking down the owner of theplate. Is there anyway of finding out who owns it ?
  3. Unlucky mate, my Z hasn't been out much recently to have anything go wrong but I got my Clio insurance sorted a few days ago and it was only £278 with 2yrs NCD on that policy. Well happy

    Jealousy?

Sorry to hear of your damage but jealousy is the right term to use to describe people that cause damage like this. My g/f bought a new Hyundai Getz on 1st September. It was her first new car and probably her last as she won't be able to afford another but her car was only 3 weeks old when someone put two deep scratches on the back quarter. The car was parked at work in a 'secure' yard and isn't even a car park or an area which the public would normally access. Luckily we got the panel resprayed last wek at a bodyshop I use for £145 which was a great price but it was money she could ill afford to spend and shouldn't have needed to.
  5. Just redeemed 4500 points for £30.00 in Shell Vouchers
  6. That's handy, I got a letter in 2/3 weeks back saying that you would get double points on a Monday for next few weeks or something like that. Great that I had just filled up with £60 that day...... and it wasn't Monday Haven't filled since then as I have just over 1/2 tank left and I think the offer date is up now as Z hasn't been out much recently but Gus's info is ideal
  7. Probably same one as I sat outside and never saw any
  8. Same up north. Saw one today but I don't see many. Travelled down to Blackpool from Edinburgh area for 3 days and back up via the lakes and only saw one Z during the whole journey. Was in my Clio mind you
  9. Sorry I couldn't make it guys but glad you all had a good day. Worst thing was it being such a nice day for time fo year. Would also have been nice to have added another blue car to the trio Definitely be there next time.
  10. Jim, I got the rear panel of my g/f's Hyundai Getz resprayed on Wednesday. Only cost £145 and it was an excellent job
  11. Is this going ahead next Sunday and if so isn't it time we got a list of definite names together ?
  12. I bought a Roadster because that was what I wanted and couldn't get a test drive as there were no UK models in the country at the time. My test drive consequently was in the Coupe which I loved but not for one minute did it make me want to get the Coupe instead - added to that, at the time I was supposed to be waiting 15 months for the roadster to arrive where the Coupe would have been a few months or whatever the wait was at the time. At the end of the day, you either want to be driving a convertible or a coupe and that should be enough to make you decide.
  13. Beware, I was over in NI in August. On the way to where we were staying from Belfast Airport, we were going along a road and the g/f said sometimes the Police hide along here.... Sure enough, there was PC Plod with his laser gun hiding in the trees. Luckily she was within the limit.
  14. It's nothing but money. Plenty of mobile 'safety camera' sites around where Ilive.
  15. Jim, It's Steve Walkers Bodyshop in Bathgate http://www.stevewalkerbodyshop.co.uk/ If you do go fo a quote, tell him I recommended him and metion my name and add 350Z Roadster and he'll know who I am. I have used him for the last 10 years or more and always had great results as well as cheap prices.
  16. If that's standard then I will get her to go to my normal bodyshop. I paid around £120 earlier in the year to get the Z front bumper filled and sprayed.
  17. Maybe Gus will know, all I know was it was somewhere in Scotland next to the water
  18. G/f's new Hyundai Getz got scratched at work the other day. I thought I would try Chipsaway thinking it might cost £70 or so. The local franchisee came out today to give a quote and said £140 and that's supposedly with a 10% AA member discount. Anyone used this company and able to say if that's an accurate price ? Or are there any cheaper companies ? I wasn't there or would have asked more questions but I can get the panel resprayed for less than that elsewhere.
  19. Here it is here, 6th one down..... http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... _full.y=15
  20. I can't remember his name. The car is in last weeks Auto Trader for sale with the plate. I don't know if it's the same guy selling it as it says it has had two owners.
