  1. My hairdresser is getting the 3.2, due near end of month. He currently has a TT and loves it. I have never been too keen on them although the interior was nice when I saw his.
  2. I'm ok with Stirling if others are too. I would say 3.00pm is a bit late ? What about 1.00pm ? That gives plenty of time to do other things. Gus - Never heard from Gordon for a long time, not sure if he still has the Z. Don't suppose anyone has a mobile number for him ? Not sure of any good roads in West Lothian apart from the ones getting you out of it I need to go now and do a night shift
  3. I would be ok for both days I think. I would say the Sunday would be best as it wouldn't be much fun in the dark. South Queensferry would be a good meeting point too. Would be happy to travel also - maybe not on the same scale, but the 300 mile drive we had last August was really good - and extremely well organised
  4. Being honest, you would need something that covered the whole car. When I had the MG ZR that I sold in June, I only had it a week and some a*** had dented the rear quarter when it was left in a public car park. Something like that is just going to bring attenetion to the car and the jealous ***** out there will probably try to damage it on purpose.
  5. 1st one looks very bad but 2nd one looks very nice.
  6. I got my windscreen done in July and it was fine. They broke the first one putting it in the van when they were coming out to me but they got another for the next morning and did the job at my work.
  7. Benefits are better when you buy Optimax but can't be bothered to read what they are. If you do not fill up with enough Optimax or V-Power as it is now they may write to you saying that they will downgrade you to normal Pluspoints if you don't spend a certain amount/visits in the next month. I got that a few months ago as I hadn't used the Z as much as normal and the last fill had been a full tank and in between I had been buying NUL for my other car.
  8. I take it Sainsburys Super will be crap ? I take it, it will be 97RON ? Only 94.9ppl
  9. There's a possibility that they have bumped the price up as the difference in Optimax and NUL was always 6ppl round here. Now it is 7ppl with NUL at 92.9ppl and V-Power at 99.9ppl. Unless they put the price up 1ppl because they had run out of NUL and Diesel
  10. Dropped in on way home from work to fill up with Optimax, funnily enough they had run out of both NUL and Diesel and only had Optimax left.... As I was filling with £60 I noticed the pump sticker said V-Power and the advertising on the totem pole had also changed. Reading the Shell website tonight, it looks like a replacement for Optimax and has a 99 RON rating.... http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?sit ... _2308.html --- SHELL UK launches Shell V-Power – providing its customers with ‘Ferrari fuel for the road’. 23/08/2006 Shell UK today launches its latest generation of performance unleaded fuel - Shell V-Power. Available across the UK, new Shell V-Power builds on the highly successful Shell Optimax premium fuel brand launched in 2001. The same Shell international scientists who develop the Ferrari Formula 1 racing fuels have created a unique fuel blend that is designed to get more power and responsiveness from your vehicle. Instrumental to Shell V-Power’s development has been the working relationship forged between Shell and Ferrari over the last 50 years across the Grand Prix circuits of the world. The Ferrari Formula 1 car provides Shell scientists with a unique cutting-edge mobile laboratory enabling fuels to be developed and tested under the most severe conditions, benefiting from instant feedback and analysis. Findings are fed back into Shell’s road fuel development programmes. The result: a fuel for customers who understand that not all fuels are the same. Shell V-Power contains Shell's unique Friction Modification Technology (FMT) as used by the Formula 1 Ferrari team in their 2006 racing fuels. This is designed to help the engine turn more freely and improve performance. Shell V-Power has an octane rating of 99 RON, designed to provide more power and improved responsiveness in many modern cars. Shell V-Power contains a powerful cleaning formula designed to improve engine responsiveness by removing power-robbing deposits, helping the fuel to burn more effectively. John Rasmussen, UK Retail Director said, “This is a proud day for Shell Retail. Shell V-Power allows our customers to fill-up with a performance fuel derived directly from our Formula 1 technical partnership with Ferrariâ€
  11. Illegal in terms of you are likely to get pulled by the police and given a rectification notice. That's unless they are too busy sitting in their camera vans like they were at 8.15am round from my house this morning
  12. That is illegal unless the car was manufactured before a certain year - e.g. a classic car.
  13. Although saying that, I would say that Neo would be more likely to resize the pic himself. He is very helpful
  14. I think Neo is M.I.A. - I have contacted him regarding moderation at a certain other forum
  15. Maybe so but someone only had to ask me to resize it and I would have - it was actually only 1/3 of it's original size I hope this site isn't suffering from over moderation
  16. I kept mine simple and added the web address
  17. They don't exactly clean the lights on a UK model so I wouldn't bother
  18. Plenty of arseole drivers around. Last night I was driving home from work in the Clio doing around 85 as motorway was quiet and remember overtaking another Clio as it was same reg as mine but base campus model and not sport. A few miles along the road and we hit roadworks which were a 40 limit zone. I slowed down to just under 50 as it was just a contraflow maintaining 2 lanes in the lead up to roadworks after my junction and no workmen. I saw this other Clio flying along the 2nd lane doing at least 75mph. I then saw the car in front of me getting it very wrong and instead of following the new lines into the new 1st lane, he straddled both and the Clio slammed on the brakes, waved the back end a little and was lucky not to hit anything and had the cheek to blast his horn at the car in front. Ok the car in front was wrong but they were not the ones flying through roadworks well over the limit. I then boxed the driver in behind the car he nearly hit until I left the motorway to let him settle down
  19. Matty - there are other clubs yes. Although there is no "official" Nissan 350Z club. Is that really the case? I thought that there was? Where is it ?
  20. They wave England flags in England Gus - the place was full of them. Cant work out the reason, but flying from poles, buildings, cars - stuck on back of cars etc.... Still not sure why they do something like that. A little flag on my number plate is more than enough for me.
  21. Sometimes the English think that the UK is England
  22. On a drive from york to central scotland - the miles would have been around 250 and I got 32.4mpg. That was me taking it easy due to the number of cameras around on the A1/A66/M6/M74. I will post other averages from my trip when I get time to get the info. All in I was happy with the mpg at safe motorway speeds.
