    Zeds Here!

I might (hopefully) be on holiday next week if you and the guys want to meet up. Alex, You didn't come out of the Shell Lizzie Bryce at about 9.45pm did you tonight ? I was sitting illegally at the exit in a blue MG ZR on my mobile and was positive it was a Z coupe in my rear view mirror coming out of the garage onto the roundabout.
  2. My car is pretty tight getting in. I used to fold mirrors in forst but now I have it right and don't need to although i'm lucky if I have much more than 2 inches both sides.

Couldn't agree more. First Alternative were my next cheapest and still over £100 more with the same policy excess. I just need to remember and call tomorrow and get my windscreen done next week while First Alternative are still fotting the bill

Kwik Fit annoy the hell out of me. Last November I did a quote online with them on the MG ZR and as expected and as always there were far from cheapest. Next morning they phone me up asking how I found their quote. Extortinate I replied As always I told them No phone call since
  6. Here's my story I was ready to order a 307CC to replace the not long gone 206CC. That was in December and had already paid £499 on 1st Dec to buy CC05 PUG number plate as the 307CC was going to be specially modified so needed a fitting plate, just like the 206CC had P20G CC. The previous month, I had had to punt the 206CC to an unsuspecting dealer as the engine was goosed and due to (long story) reasons, it was not being done under warranty and I wasn't paying over £3k to get it done. I was already completely p****d off with Pug dealers (many of them) and was buying an import 307CC. Then one day I was talking to Lyndon (Neo) on MSN and he was going on about the Z he had just got the previous month. I had earlier thought of the 350ZR as next car had to be convertible but I discounted the Z as being too expensive. Then the next week Neo was STILL going on about the Z so I started doing some research and got a brochure from Nissan. Nissan said in the literature that the first batch were sold out and no more would be available until Spring 2006. That suited me as the 350ZR was costing a good bit more than the 307CC so another year would give me time to save the extra cash. I booked a test drive in the coupe at a local dealer as there were no UK roadsters in the UK at that time. That was in the early part of January 2005. I took a quick test drive and with any car in the past I have always gone for a few days to think about it - more just to make sure I am doing the right thing and I don't wake up next morning with regrets. Not this time - a quick test drive and there I was handing over my Switch card for a £2k deposit on a nice January Saturday morning The sales guy said he though he could get me one earlier than next spring so I said get it by end of June and I will take it otherwise I don't want it earlier than next March. I didn't expect him to phone me 9 weeks later to tell me it was on it's way on the boat So after all that, the 350ZR celebrates it's 1st birthday next Friday in the month that I paid off the credit card which had made up the shortfall

Renewed yesterday at £487 which was pretty good going after £600 last year. Would have been £18 less but I took the legal cover seeing as I will be using the car in Europe in July. Funny thing is my MG ZR cost nearly the same as I only have 1yrs NCD on the policy although First Alternative gave me a 3yr NCD discount.
  8. This is turning into a classic post
  9. When I ordered by Roadster last January, Nissan officially said delivery would be in Spring 2006 . It turned up at the dealer towards the end of March 2005 and I collected it on the 31st.
  10. That would be great when you get a minute
  11. I'm already going to be £2k down with my wage freeze over 2 years and with ever increasing petrol, road tax increases and home fuel going through the roof I would be as well jumping off a bridge
  12. Buying with insurance today wasn't an option as it was only personal and didn't offer joint cover or other cars. Found cover for Europe trip only with NCI at £35. That may be an option as there is no point to cover 3 cars for Europe for a year when I will only be there for 5 days.
  13. All this in a year when my pay has been frozen until October 2008
  14. Snow didn't hang around long, it was gone within 2 days
  15. Just read that a little while ago and tried to renew my tax online. As my insurance also runs out on 31/3/06 it won't let me renew Just gone and renewed my insurance but that will take time to update the motor insurance database. If it goes up I won't be happy.
  16. My ZR will be 1yr old at end of month and as I haven't told Nissan I have moved house and my Royal Mail redirection has ran out then I have received nothing in the post about renewal. Does the renewal cover cover any car or driver or is it only for the Z ? If it covers all does anyone have a phone number for them ? If it doesn't cover all then I'm looking for cover for 2 drivers and a 350ZR, MG ZR and a Ford Fiesta - anyone know of any cheap deals. Best I have really seen is £100 or so for cover that includes get you home or to any UK destination. TIA
  17. Ban him mods - I don't even know the guy and all I get is abuse
  18. Underneath my bonnet still looks brand new and thats with 6k miles. Don't know where you have been driving
  19. £29 for the number plate holder from a Nissan dealer. I bought one last week as mines was accident damaged. Been looking around but nothing really for private sale.
  20. It is Z related as the 350ZR will be going Southern France would be nice as I haven't been there for years but time and miles really rules it out. Just Torquay and back is 950 miles so I don't want to add up what the rest will be
  21. My holiday plans have changed again..... Still going to Torquay in Devon for the 2nd week of July but instead of visiting a few places in England on way back up for week 2, I am now going to toddle through the Chunnel on the Sunday and come back over later on Thursdsay afternoon. Obviously I will be in France and also plan to hop over to Belgium while I'm over but I was wondering if anyone knew any places that were nice to visit in Belgium and the top half of France, preferably on the Belgian border side. Also anyone with knowledge of accommodation would be appreciated. I take it our equivalent Travel Inns will be common over there ?
  22. Come on, that's two so far.... anyone else ?
