  1. Not had a PM but count me in. We should ask why they didn't test the paint with stones as we don't normally get diamonds flying around while we drive along the road
  2. I might complain myself although it sounds like a waste of time. A respray at own cost is pointless as I already have stone chips in my bumper that was only resprayed 6 weeks ago. Only done 7500 miles and it's really starting to **** me off.
  3. I once got done at 52 in a 40 on a dual carriageway...... By a mobile camera hidden behind a bus shelter.
  4. Probably something wrong with their chip & pin system. i.e. probably the ISDN line or something. If they use signatures then they are liable for fraudulent transactions so I doubt they are doing it willingly.
  5. Driving kinda normal not being too careful with the fuel sees me get between 23.5-24.0mpg. I always let the trip computer go for a few thousand miles so have never checked and specific type of journey but any steady legal motorway speed or A road trips normally see the average creep up.
  6. £92 supplying my own oil at same place as Gus had hid P2 done. Cheapest service I have had in ages
  7. In Bathgate yesterday and in Whitburn on Friday. Must be a new car to the area - very nice
  8. Not much dearer than their normal ultimate - BP are extortinate around here.
  9. Collected these from Chris (funkystyling) last night and they look good. Gotta clean the car before putting them on but I placed the front one on to see what it looks like as the old one has been removed and it looks great. For anyone who doesn't have them, then contact Chris (funkystyling) as £29 (group buy) each is a bargain
  10. Went to the local Shell this morning and all pumps were working with Optimax. Only thing was the price of fuel went up overnight by 2ppl so it is now 99.9 there for Optimax
  11. I need to fill up the MG ZR in the morning so will go to the local Shell and see. The 350 is near empty too
  12. Depends on what way you look at the figures - but just £3900 in 18 months which isn't bad. Comparable to most cars in it's class. If it wasn't a heap of junk I would have kept it as it was under warranty for the full 3 years.
  13. Your alright, thanks... Remember not to view the topic.
  14. Well as many of you may know - I absolutely hated my MG ZR. Today I traded it in for a new Clio - it's the old model but brand new and is the 1.2 16V Campus Sport model. Got imo an excellent deal and with 4 new tyres due on the ZR at over £100 each, problem after problem, group 7 insurance on a 1.4 and no manufacturer backup since MGR went down the tubes it was time to get rid of the shed. Clio due end of next month so I will post a few pics up when it arrives. Spec on Clio is pretty good and I can expect far lower running costs not to mention it being a new car again with full warranty. Told my mum about it tonight and she asked what car I was selling to get it - the MG or the 350ZR - I laughed The Clio won't be a great car in everyones eyes but a small car to get me to and from work will suit me fine.
  15. Not being funny but I'm not going to be tempted to buy a car from someone who has dropped by and made 1 post - to sell a car. You want a free advertising means without making any effort - you are the main person gaining. I get hacked off at other forums when you see someone selling something and look at their post count to see they have made their first post. The ebay comparison is fair. Doesn't always count but at least someone who has been around a forum for a period of time will be better known.
  16. You must be a registered chairty I paid £92.80 and provided oil
  17. Well, wouldn't a diesel be a better option then? The extra cost of a diesel would not be economical. Also bear in mind that diesel is currently dearer than NUL so the benefits are even less.
  18. My answer was in relation to the 1st post for model year Just so happened my post was within seconds of the one above
  19. Thanks for the advice, but a cheap to run car is what I need - it's only for to and from work. I have the 350ZR if I want any kind of power.
  20. Looks very nice. Will be in touch soon about collecting the badges.
  21. Clio Campus 1.2 16V Sport ????? What do people think of these ? Once again I'm looking to replace the 54 MG ZR with another car for work. The Clio is the old model with decent spec levels, colour coded all round except handles, alloys, rear spoiler, metallic paint and remote cd upgrade. Can be bought brand new for under £7k so would all depend on what I got for the MG ZR. Opinions please
  22. I'm hoping they have kept the same phase 2 prices - find out next year
  23. I had a PM from him a few days ago so he is around. I will send another to see if he wants to finalise the GB.
