  1. This is a new engine as he blow the first one up. (Had a APS twin turbo first) He still did not manage to overtake my 7 on a track day with the TT. Think he is taking the pi55 with £35k. As many have said its a 5 year car. Yes it is a nice spec engine but http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/430276.htm would attract me more for the price/age. Its a v12 AM DB7 When spill car, which I would say would be just as quick goes for £25k I would go that way. Then I could insure/tax/fill with petrol for the next 3 years with the £10k difference. Besides the bloke is an ar5ehole so I would want money off to make up for the previous owner
  2. Got told Magny-cours is really expensive. think that is why LoT do not go. They are also doing Ledenon and Ales this year.
  3. its more of a fun circuit than skill. As a comparison Folembray is quicker as is Abbeville. Criox is about the same except the straight may be slightly longer at Criox. Doing Le Mans Bugatti again and Dijon for the first this year. will be at abbeville on monday.
  4. If you organise a day let me know. Would be easy for any brits as not too far south, has nothing really to hit, you will not find another circuit with a roundabout halfway thru the course. It very twisty and good for drifting but is not high speed. also good if you need to take the missus as Paris not far away and champagne region. Very cool that the chap who owns the château decided to build a track in his back garden.
  5. Pooky have you tried "ecuyers" yet, well worth a visit if you are in Paris.
  6. Car looks great. Do you also need to put holes in the covers for the wheel arch. Otherwise how does the air from the brakes get there.
  7. not trying to defend anything.... Just pointing out that things can now be read that may surprise you, may be the police but suppose could be be warrenty manufacturer or insurance companies. Not have a pop at the great GTR, its just that is banked to the hilt with electronics.
  8. with all the fancy electronics in the new GTR you might get stung if things go wrong as per http://www.birminghammail.net/news/blac ... -20706873/
  9. Looks great, with nice cars and nice settings. Also nice to see you allow BMW on your drive out....I am not allow to attend the Welsh run.
  10. Well I have a couple of 20ltr cans that may be getting topped up just in case. But hopefully it will come to nothing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/tay ... 356235.stm
  11. IIRC joined the old one Nov 04, one month before I got the car 23/Dec/04
  12. Just really wanted to show what the engine parts look like when they make an emergency exit....

    GT-R

Well apparently it is in the manual you cannot rice your car so these people obviously cannot read Japanese. http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/?p=207 By the way these people apart have cracked the GTR ECU and going to give it mega boost
  14. Well I think this chap found out how much is too much..... http://youtube.com/watch?v=X5pYAMhslzc&feature=related
  15. Not sure what colour it start off as, but think he ordered the wrong touch-up pot of custard and used it anyway, then he order a tube of Blade and used that as well....why. http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewt ... light=350z and look both of his tail pipes have fallen off so he just stuck one back on but in the middle of the car.
  16. Either go used GT model, or better speak to Phil at ESR to see what he can get in that price range. Sure it will be looked after and fully seviced/checked before you get it. Could be an import with lots of extra toys and still put £2k in the bank in case you had to repair something outside of warrenty. Chances are unless you get an old one with gearbox issues any work that would be normally covered by a UK warrenty one, would be way less than £2k

    GT-R

I like the whole thing except the fact that the front spoiler sticks out the side. Would make it stand out even in a line of of stand-out cars (other GTR's) and that is good considering Nissan do not want them modded at all. Most of the UK ones will be standard I think. seats are nice
  18. Nice car and can be seen in action @ the ring (fast zed around the Ring I have heard of) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZD40i_3akQ
  19. Give them the link to ebay to prove you are rightful owner. Surely then they should give you the details.
  20. Sarnie sold me a phone and was perfect apart from a pic of a lambo on it, sorry but that had to go straight away. thanks again for the phone sarnie still going but did not give me the signal strength display, but that is my problem not yours as I asked for the phone. Paul, Can the network not tell you when it was locked and why. That way you should be able to prove it was done before he sold it and then you should get your money back.If it was after he sold it tell the network to unlock it as you have not used it or reported it stolen so they should unlock for free. +1 The seller wasnt sarnie was it, he'd do something dodgy like that
  21. H5 Feel a little compelled to stand up for BMW's Do not think they are idiots really and are quite clever. If you compare a 335i Coupe at 1600Kg with a M3 coupe at 1655Kg then you can see why they changed things like a carbon roof to save extra weight. If not would be even heavier and the 335i would get closer to their marque brand. 335i is 0-60 in 5.5 and the M3 is 4.8, with the new double clutch 7 speed box it brings that down to 4.6 even adding more weight (even increases fuel economy by 1.1mpg compare to old box). Do not think they are stupid but damn clever and if you looked into the construction process for the carbon roof and the new box you might appreciate more.
  22. think the aston is way better looking.
  23. Gents I can see where Kev is coming from. In the right hands the weight does not seem a massive problem but the only way to build a race car is to get it as light as possible. What I would like to see is someone with our driving talent taking it around the ring. Trust me you will be braking way more than the nissan test driver. That will likely mean you will not get away with more than 2 laps of the ring at a time. An elsie and exige could go around all day only stopping for fuel. The first normal person that has a go at getting with 10% of the quoted times is likely to face a rather large repair bill when he cannot it stop it quickly or floors it too early since he had to brake too hard for the corner. If you check times of very fast GT cars around Brands Indy compared to class C LoT cars and you will see there is not much in it.

    CF damage

Martin I have a fair amount of CF on my 7 (dash, front and rear wings, door guards and headlamps even the nose cone before silverstone happened) and when damaged it just just get worse over time. Vibration tends to extend the small cracks that form with impact damage.
