  1. Big concern they may not as the Roadster has an automated move and tilt function which is not present in the coupe, cant say for sure till I get home as the info is all there. Beware there may be issues.
  2. Janspeed at Castle Road Salisbury. Thay have a brand new Dyno just been installed and Mark was always up for us organising a Zed day before the "twinsites" became the norm.
  3. Tom I too have a breathed on Cooper S (245 in theory) so I can vouch for the instant "feel" when the power is demanded, the Z however with a Supercharger is similar but runs out of additonal power quite quickly, but with a TT conversion its phenominal, however the 10k Val has indicated actually is probably on the low side if you want a reliable motor as much of the internals will need work or replacement. Best of luck with the test drive. It will still feel slow in terms of acceleration compared to the Mini initially due to the power to weight ratio but the Z has poise and stature when driven which the Mini hasnt as it just hangs in there as the speed increases, but the Z will comfortably handle all the excitement you can grab without too much of a worry.
  4. I live about 1/2 mile from there office so have made several visits to drop and collect u/s units over the last few years. There service unit is not all that customer friendly but having a Nissan your probably used to that scenario. N
  5. Micheal very close to your place of work I do believe Clarion (G.B.) Ltd. Unit 1, Marshall Road, Hillmead, Swindon, Wiltshire SN5 9YX, England
  6. Cheaper from Here http://www.jkautospares.co.uk/index.php ... ts_id=1884
  7. You have got to be joking there has to a 45 minute video just to show how not to remove this item. There are eight bolts which are "factory sealed" to prevent misalignment after fitting, to undo them results in a roof which will not function correctly. I know this as I have tried it and boy it takes alot of time and guess work to get it re aligned to operate. Even if it went for 100 it would cost more than the 2 grand in fitting and getting it all working. You have to have a diagnostic unit to plug into the roof controller, no it isnt on the CAN bus, so you cant just use the Consult II but you do have to use it and the roof control box. It is a really difficult unit to fit and get working, my money would be dont bother.... I can remember the filming of the instructional video it took three weeks nack to back and eight complete shoots to get it right. I even have the pictures as a souvenier.
  8. We on another forum http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk have been creased up over this for about a week, baiting is most definitely allowed on this seller. He has several other items for sale and his guitar is now attracting similar levels of humour along with his Picasso and Classes Guide. :teeth::teeth:
  9. Brake system, rear differential cooling, Gearbox, ECU control, central locking with deadlocks (insurance item), remote opening key fobs (almost impossible to replace without a second mortgage) and last but by no means least the audio system which wont pick up any of the UK radio frequencies without a shifter and they seem to be hit and miss.
  10. The version in the pics is clearly an import (back number plate size) But it does look good with the kit i must say.
  11. I believe there is a US related TSB regarding the manual box supplied there but here no TSB has been issued although there are numerous issues reported. The sixth gear synchro is a triple synchroiser and does get affeected by premature wear. Individual components are not replaced just the entire box. Get onto the stealer and get it done under warranty.
  12. Hey you wont need the phone integration kit for the Z now with a quality bit of kit like the Tom Tom 700 its got it built in.
  13. The "reset switch" is actuially a friction break whihc operates on the mechanism so it wont look like a switch but just a button you push and hold........ Nissanjapinglish language skills you see
  14. Derek the system wanted you to feel got at ! We all get it most of the time and end up editing the post to say "yep - model year" Great timing by the way.
  15. I think you will find the steering wheel controls are not available on the roadster due to water ingression with the roof down. I am not 100% but i can remember this being discussed during the water sealing tests on the roof when we made the video for training nissan europe.
  16. It is not manufacture year as is commonly believed it is actually Model Year eg the year which the model is introduced. It will change as new versions arrive and often the MY03 is actually built right upto the MY06 release and this could mean a MY03 is actually built in 2006 !
  17. Fish Brothers ar eprolly the best in the area (the only ones in Swindon) and they have hed Zs since day one so you should not have a problem with them. And the train is only about 10 minutes walk when they tell you its not ready.
  18. Val The wire thingies are flexible pipes that allow the Y pipe to move in relation to the engine and not transmit vibration through to the body. If a few wires are showing as broken then it should not be a major problem as they are primarily a covering for the main flexible pipe, like corrugated steel inside a wirewrapping. If it dosent leak it wont be a problem, if it does leak your MIL will be like a beacon, flashing more often than Benny Hill.
