  1. The keys are logged into the NATS system and this can only be really successfulyl done using the Consult II system. If it is attempted through other methods it is possible to permanently disable the starting of the engine, be aware this has happened and can be very very costly, new ecu and Nats system entirely. if all keys are deleted then it becomes down to a return to factory to restore access. £100 is cheap compared to the potential cost if it goes wrong. IMHO.
  2. Tis OBD2 and CAN bus as well the protocal is standard but the Code list is the extended manufacturers list. It is normal to communicate through this port with any OBD2 style system.
  3. Nick If your email address is one of the "free" ones like hotmail they have recently been configured so they will not work when hosted on Outlook unless you subcribe to the "paying" versions. Hotmail did this about a year ago it can still be used properly through a browser but wont synchronise properly with Outlook Express or full Outlook. Check with your provider of email as to the correct configuration if this is not the case.
  4. Yes but if they had said they wanted it they could have had it for nowt. Like the tee shirts I would give it away. Anyway Suzy is gonna collect the bits tomorrow.
  5. Not this time not me Not guilty I had enough problems last time I tried to sell something. Two friends were bidding on what I had thought was worthless and just put it up for a laff and lo and behold I am having two friends bidding against each other for something I would have given them if they had asked. Not doing the bay any more it costs me too many friends.

  17. Ok my penworth.... If I am looking for a strong item that has ventilation then I would look for specific characteristics. Round windows on a boats hull, round windows on the space shuttle and round windows on deep sea pressure vessels. This indicates to me round holes have to be "stronger" in the stress bits than square or slots. Surely following this then the drilled disks would be far stronger than the slotted disks, although sure the increase in leading edges from having slots in the face would improve the breaking forces surely for strength and reliable ventilation the holes would be better. OK flame me I am immortal anyway.......
  18. Thats Cheating...... I surfed to it in the end it is something else isnt it !!!!!B)B)
  19. Leenx The TMC is the latest in the live traffic management control and if you really want to know more then have a look at the latest Primera or Pathfinder info packs as they have it as an option on the base models. Tried it around the south west and it dont work too good, not enough traffic apparently. doh ! Its a free 12 month thing then subscription presumably as after the first 12 months you might have been a) able to understand how it works, been able to utilise it at least once to avoid a traffic jam, c) just got used to the incessant interuption of your fav DVD music session. Good Luck.
  20. I think I have the name of the company that supply the updates at home will look it out tonight and post the details.
  21. Kennyc You just dont know how much what your suggesting would be a bonus. It just isnt available yet on dvd that is compatible with the hardware in the Z. I have tried the P12 Primera the Y61 Patrol the V11 Tino and also the latest Almera discs but none will update the host system and the systems are locked to teh ecu of the original model of vehicle. Stick with the CDs there are updates available its less hassle and it works.
  22. And there was me thinking I was teh only 4x4 nut around the forum. Thanks Kev feel a bit easier now. Nice pics and the link was pretty impressive.
