keep missing my point Adam. of course tyres are really important wrt ride comfort, but with the same tyre model, and keeping within OE rolling radius spec (in order not to mess up the electronic aids too much), surely you can feel the harsher ride from 18" to 20"

last part of the holiday was dedicated to the Nurburgring: we stayed at the Blaue Ecke, smack bang in the middle of Adenau, which was handy indeed for evening dinners, shops etc. The local Nissan Dealer was just around the corner if needed, too. Arrived on Monday, very sunny, the Ring was open from 2pm will 7.30pm and was predictably extremely busy. Some awesome machinery incl. an SLR 722 and a Carrera GT. we also met a VERY cool guy and his family who stopped us in the middle of Adenau. His name is Steve and once he gets on board (he better do!!!! with all the spotting we've been doing on his car) he's automatically earnt his title of Local RingMeister He's been around it about 70 times, 40 laps of which was with his Toyota Land Cruiser!! before buying the Z. he's an absolute nutcase and knows every bend name by heart. Anyway to cut the long story short (...) I was looking for someone to give me a pax lap before going out in the Z and he offered! a 10 minutes lap (with ESP on at all times I might add!) in a Z around the Ring is quick by all accounts, but even more so when there was a barrier just after the main initial straight and when we found 2 accidents too. Chris had his pax lap after me, and it was an eye opener as to how to approach the Ring as newbies. You just can't see where the next bend goes, most of the times! After Steve's suggestion, we took out our Zeds at 7.20PM for a very quiet recon lap, with the other halves, and unless you really know the bends properly, attempting to go very fast around it is rather foolish. Anyway for the next 4 days we religiously went up to the Nordshcleife entrance when it opened to the public and also went to see testing at Bridesheid with R8s, the new M3 and a few more nice cars making an appearance we also spent time visiting the surroundings, we went to Burg Elz, a fairytale castle which has never been conquered (or destroyed) by an army we even had the time to take the ladies to the Bitburg Zoo, which was fun. All in all not just a car related holiday, but extremely enjoyable time was had by all Now I'm skint for the next 2-3 months Falken sponsored 350Z after the Nurburgring 24Hr race, with a few battle scars, sitting in the Nissan dealership in Adenau

next stop (after a 1 nighter north of Paris, shame we couldn't meet with Angie & Co ) was Spa (and the Francorchamps cisrcuit ) Weather was soooo changeable! apparently typical of the area, hot and sunny one moment, and pouring it down the next! We stayed in a very small hotel, 4* only 9 rooms and very personal service. Chris will surely post some nice pics of our Zeds (he joined us there for 2 nights) in front of the house. we visited the famous Baths for some relaxing therapies, and they are now on top of a hill in a new complex, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, very very nice. We ate at many of the restaurants in town but my favourite was probably the Mediterranean style one we ate the last night. Also there's a very good ice cream shop just a minute away from the town hall square. Had a look at the Casino (oldest in Europe) but was near empty and the atmosphere wasn't really inviting you to bet (plus Chris and the ladies didn't want to bet) so no fun was had there. Of course Spa wasn't just for sightseeing and Debbie and I visited the Stavelot Abbey where they have the Circuit museum and also another couple of nice dispalys, including one about the Trappist Beers, which prompted me to buy some to bring back home (hmm 11.2% beers ) During the weekend the Spa Euro Race was on, with free entrance so from the Friday afternoon we went to have a look. The old part of the circuit and the old facilities look, well, tired and old, and I can see why the F1 wanted a facelift of the place. Car parking was abysmal too, with major offroading needed the circuit itself is brilliant though! Awesome setting, in the middle of a great hilly area and forest, so many changes of altitudes!! It is not really a spectator's circuit though as it's so big, but from the roof of the newly built buildings we could see the new parts of it and the eau rouge corners. the works are imo a bit behind schedule for the F1 GP, you can see the stands nowhere near ready! Anyway the Euro Race included the Formula Renault 2.0L single seaters, Clio Cup, Porsche Club Challenge, Radical races and the Dutch Supercar Challenge. Chris with his Pro camera took some great action shots which I'm sure he'll post soon.

ok.... here's my review of the holiday after a deserved night sleep: I'll divide it into 3 parts, the Loire Valley with the Z clubs of UK and Holland, Spa and Francorchamps and the Ring bigger pics will be here: http://www.350z-uk.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=151 The Loire Valley: really good 5 days there with the Z Club lot and thanks again to Sean and Suzy for organising it! The Karting track was magnificent as well as the Friday night show. My Z was voted second most desirable car present at the meet, (after Sean's) and that bagged me a collectible Magnum of local Champagne (which I've still to unwrap from its protective wrapping I improvised to bring it back in one piece) with metal label and all. I also won the "furthest distance travelled, just about beating one of the Dutch members, and that bagged me a nice crystal sweets holder . If the meet was as the end of the 2 weeks holidays though, Chris would have won this, with his South of France incursion Other buys were a cool Dutch Z club Tshirt and a mini tuned 350Z model The region is really beautiful and we also went to visit a few castles around the area, the Brissac and Saumur castles

Tim at MVS in holywell (01352) 720375, hes the guy who came on the drive out with the blue skyline, he has mine and i think 2 other zeds he looks after as well as virtually every skyline and 200sx in the area. thanks ........ i might give him a try.......... used them for my MOT, great guys, recommended
