i always think that when i reverse park i'm really close to the wall, but when i get out i've got about 2 feet of space. the reason is that the rear view mirror and wing mirrors are marginally magnified. (well the rear is but i think the sides are. also the sides have a 2 part lens on the drivers side to aid in seeing in the blind spot, which also distorts perception. i have very good spacial awareness, i can reverse park a 15 ton trailer and tractor unit round a corner into a grain drop with only half a foot either side. and i find that i park straight but can never judge the front and rear distance.

if you get it powder coated would be interested to see what it looks like finished. i fancy having my plenum powder coated red. to go with the grounding kit i have. in the long run i would also look at getting a mandrel bent air intake tube and have that powder coated as well. but not found any mandrel bent intake pipes yet

i like the idea of powder coating, is it possible just to do the plenum or is it permanently attatched to the throttle body.

i can't see it being a major issue, one thing sites like this are good for is showing up major problems with a car, as people only tend to log on with a problem. and with several people on high milage, and the number of memebers on here; a pattern would normally be visible now. this forum seems to know the main issues this car suffers with and most are pretty minor. myself and ekona both used to be on the mr2roc forum where we started to see a mojor pattern of engines blowing due to a dodgy valve seal (there was large debate over the cause, but many believed the pre-cats to be responsible) this is something that toyota have only recently agreed is an issue, before that they denied it. and it was only because of the forums bringing it to the attention of toyota GB. i would think it is nissan doing a live engine check, looking at one that has been used in normal conditions and not just sat on a bench tester.

before i fully commit to the buy, could you tell me the diameter of the gap where the badge was as i think i might have something to go in the hole. cheers Rich

i know what you mean about the seat, took a little while for me to adjust mine, still not perfect. i suffer at my hips, and i think it is due to the bolsters, and me having a wider backside. as it pushes my legs in a way that makes my hip ache. although now it is not really noticable. i found i had to raise the seat between the bolsters, not all the way up, but higher. and that helped alot.

have you got a pic of the oil filler cap, the one with no logo on it. or is it on ebay now. if its the one i think it is i'll take it off your hands.

i must admit i'm in my own little world when i drive, if some one waves at me when they are driving the other way, i somethimes don't notice till the last minute.

wow i think i just avoided one of those hair brained emptying of the wallet moments, when you pay for it and then sit back and think, why the hell have i just done that i like my pop charger, it does the joba nd make sthe noises. could spend the money on something else. like the kitchen

i was contemplating selling mine to upgrade to the typhoon, but i haven't made my mind up yet. if they do a typhoon kit with in red then i might defo swap over. my pop charger has only been on the car for about 6 weeks. probably only done 500 miles. do they do them in red? looks like my wallet has been saved. 3 options, Red, Blue and Polished... dammit CS why did you have to go and tell me this. right if adriank wants to buy my pop charger i'll order a red one from you if you stock them. jwt with heat shield is/was £95, add on either a carbon or aluminium intake pipe and your looking at another £130 ontop

cheers fiddy, thats the big thing, i could really do with one to work on, without taking the original out of the car. and then just transplant it in when i'm ready. once i remove mine i'll know what i'm dealing with and then should be able to take appropriate action. just got to get off my arse in order to do it. might have a go this weekend.
