love the new concept supra ( FT HS) just have to see if they build it, that and the new honda NSX, theres some proper interesting cars in the next 3 years, will have to see if one of them is a worthy Zed replacement for me.

if its a retractable its about £100 for a new cubby, i have one but i need to make a new internal facia,(i bought it brand new was meant to use it but the audio fitters cut some bits out, the door is fine, just need to use the laser cutter to make a new interal front. does it actually have satnav? or is it just a cubby door. i presume its the retractable and not the up down one? posibility is instead of me making a new fasia you could take it as is, and remove the door from mine and fit it to yours. pm me if your interested, need pics etc

if yours has gone up in value so have the new lower milage ones you'd sell and buy your own car back, stick with what you got, or you'll come un stuck

good luck with the sale, look forward to seeing you in a zed, bet it doesn't stay unmodded for long, and the cash you put in the bank ends up on the zed within 12 months as for sales i am right in thinking its on pistonheads and the supra club forum, could try some of the jap performance mags, like said before, its a niche market, if you struggle might be worth stripping back and partially returning to stock, but would be a shame to see that happen.

get a tape measure out, set it at those 2 lengths and see which one you prefer. i guess the shorter one would sit roughly inline with the width of the car, the other would stick out slightly. but best to check first. i really like the low rise one might have to save up the pennies. will have a go at photoshopping it onto the car, never tried before, unless someoen else can do it.

i would gauge the zed has gone up by an average of £1200

it seems your not the first to say that there aren't many around in the condition that poeple want for the price they want to pay, don't forget this was a £30k sports car when new, and your hoping to have saved £17k from buying it new 4 years ago. to be honest i think the car market is staberlising out, people are no longer panic selling like they were 12 months ago, people kno what they're worth, aren't in a rush to sell and are happy to hold out for the right price. i think the bargain pick ups of last year are gone, and i think you may need to pay a more realistic price for the car. i got my 06 11 months ago for £15,000 its only got 22,000 on the clock but i would proably ask about £14,500 - £15,000 for it now, but thats cos i don't want to sell. if you want a bargain i think you'll need to be prepared to travel, i got mine in harrowgate, my last car in stoke on trent, and i live in suffolk. but then i saved £3000 on what a local dealership wanted for an identical car.

i'd try to get him down to 13,200, or walk away and find something else.

in face value with all your mods i can see where your coming from, yes in monatary terms the outlay you spent maybe worth more than the Zed you looking to replace it with. but as said before i wouldn't class it as an upgrade for a car thats well over 10 years old. your right in a straight line the supra will probably win, but i've never been bothered about straight line dragging, to me its not proper driving. put both cars on the same track and see whos the fastest after 3 laps would be a more accurate measure. i like the supras, but for me it would be a step back, and a step forward would be the new NSX due out next year

would love a set of 20's but i don't have the cash for new wheels, thats why i bought new tyres, am going to get them fitted then have the wheels refurbed. but to borrow a set of 6 spokes would be legendary. am happy to pay a rental fee, and if in the worst case scenario i curb any i would pay for them to be refurbed

the only thing i might see as a problem is the wiring up behind, things like the pioneer units and alpine etc all have adapter harnesses you can buy that make fitting easy, i don't know if they do one for that headunit, and if it would still allow you to use the steering wheel controls. you might need to go to a pro to get that fitted

they supply lots of stuff, but you can easily get what you want from envy and then get CS to paint and fit if CS doesn't have what you want.

CS is in Leicester, but worth the trip out a few miles to have it done properly
