  1. I'll try to get someone to look at it this weekend. Will be annoyed if its off and the people who replaced the tyre didn't sort it.
  2. Blowout shredded the tyre. Was going abround 55mph, luckily was a rear one going in a straight line on a dual carriage way. I will get the alignment checked out.
  3. Sorry, should have mentioned that. I got myself a pressure checker and pump and tweaked them all up to 35PSI (as indicated by the plaque on the door sill). A couple were around 5PSI low (including the one changed after the blowout, useless garage!).
  4. Hey guys, Had my Z for about 5 months now and still love it, however, I have a concern that has come about since I got back from holiday over Christmas. The handling seems to have gotten quite soft, the steering feels light and somewhat dead and thus isn't inspiring the confidence that I once had in the car. In fact, I now feel less than comfortable going anywhere over about 85 on a dual carriageway. I had a blowout the second time I drove the car after the recent snow/ice, about 2 weeks ago, so may be a psychological thing but I don't think so. Would appreciate any help/recommendations. If needs be I can take it to get it looked at. Cheers, Simon
  5. Based in Milton Keynes. Ended up getting the car from a guy in Wandsworth in London. Anyone else from around these parts?
  6. Hi chaps, Finally got my Z. 2005 GT, 36k on the clock, Gun Metal Grey: Very happy so far, may post a couple of technical questions on the appropriate forums in a little while!
  7. Its private. I started out by offering 13.25, but he wasn't having any of it. The problem is that he is only selling for practicality purposes and he is in no rush at all so I don't really have any bargaining position. I would be relatively happy at 13.5 I think. But then I look at, for example, motors.co.uk/autotrader for a car within 100 miles of my postcode (mk14) and there really aren't that many under 12k at all with that kind of mileage. Ideally I would like an 05 (lower tax) with around 30-40k on the clock. I suspect his concern is that he's not had it that long and got it from a dealer, so he's trying to sell it privately for what he paid for it. Grrrr.
  8. Hey chaps, Long time reader, first time poster! I went to see a 2005 GT with 36k on the clock. Gun metal grey, a couple of small chips/scratches, but nothing to write home about. However, I'm a bit concerned over the price. He's got it on at £14k, but the 'book's that I've been reading suggest 12.5-12.9 would be the price to look for. Admittedly, his car is 4k under the expected mileage for an '05. So was just wondering what you guys thought. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong area!
