otherwise known as the golf ball effect. air travels over it better due to it causing turbulence over the surface;allowing the air to travel faster over that surface. a very very basic cut down version of what was said above. the scientific demo of it would be a standard golf ball and a dead smooth golf ball. hit both exactly the same with the same force and the standard ball would go further than the smooth one.

Carbon Fibre Replacement keys/fobs - Expired
rtbiscuit replied to Carbon Coops's topic in Group Buys
am i right in thinking these will be identical to the current key fob, but made of carbon fibre instead of the standard injection moulded plastic. i might be interested. but their is real potential to develop a flip key that would take out transponder. and that i would definetely be interested in. -
did you put a lock on specially for me i would have been happy just to sing and whistle while i was in there.

engine start up wise it was the same yesterday, so they only used the Spyker with the audi V8, the 2 ferrari's, the lambo V10 and the caparo T1. it reafirmed for me why i've always been a lambo man and not a ferrari girl. The spyker sounded awesome, and its rawness set off all the hairs on my neck and made me feel all funny inside. had a lovely tone and burble that was just magical. the 2 ferrari's did nothing for me, too high pitched for me the 599 was the better of the 2. then the lambo V10 on the gayardo, set all the hairs on my neck off again, gorgeous sound, more tuned than the audi V8 in the syper but just as good. the caparo was the cool, but rated the same as the ferrari's for me. really wanted to hear the konigsegg as its one of my dream cars, and wanted to compare the twin supercharged V12 to the 3 V8's and the V10 i heard. as for the show, it was very good, and definitely the high light of the day, and i like the way they try and do something different every year. overall its not been as good as previous years and there seems to be less than i remember previously. but still a good day out.

i have no plate at the front at the moment, and everyone who admires the car, the first thing they say is where is your plate, but it makes it fairly obvious that the police will notice this its currently in the windscreen and i thought that was adequate for now, but apparently not according to the coach man. was told recently by one of the coach drivers that he had taken the plate off his manta, and got find £150 for not having a plate as it was an MOT failure. not sure how true this is, i thought they tell you to fix it within a time limit, didn't know they fine you now as well. if i get a vinyl plate (sticker type number plate) and its all spaced legally and sized perfectly (its not personalised) should that be ok? i just don't want to drill holes in my new bumper, or mount that horrible plastic thing that comes as standard, and sticky pads leave a horrible residue, so i hope that vinyl was a better approach. but i have a feeling its only allowed on cars of a certain age. i like the plates that other people have on their nismo bumper which are tiny tiny, but i fear i'm more likely to get pulled with that than a vinyl job. (i won't make it myself i'll get someone like craigplates to make it.)

speak to P15ULT his business isn't trading anymore, as i think he was taking a break to focus on his day job, but you may find that he might do a set for you if you sent him your lights and didn't need the car for a few days. from what i remember he sold off a lot of his stock in lights a while back so won't have any donor ones to work on. i could be completly wrong though. other option if paul is unable is CINcity in the states who do similair work.

good man rich, glad to see these have finally sold

nissan stuff does the job fine, not sure about mixing, but maybe put a splash in just to get you to minimum, and then ask them to drain the sytem and refill with fresh coolant then there would be no issue. knowing nissan they will probably nod say um hm and then just top it up ontop of the old stuff anyway

its a noise mod more than anything. if you want more noise then do it. only way you'll get a real improvement over the stock boxes which are very good is to find induction cone filters that come with an inclosed airbox. they do alot of these for the 276 and 296 engines but am unsure on if anything is like that for the 313. i vaguly remember k&N might do something like that, but i'm unsure if that will still be as good as stock boxes. if your purly after BHP gains then get some drop in panel filters. its cheaper and there are alot more options out there for you. if apexi do a drop in filter that would be my choice. others available i think are: ITG k&n hks pipercross am sure there are others but i'm not that familiar with them. basically if a manufacturer makes cones for the car there will probably be a drop in filter as well.

i bought a 2006 model which was when the V2 came out with the 296 engine but mines only a 276bhp version, but i new that, and that it was a case of it being a late registered car. imho plate number means bugger all. what you should be more into if the age is a concern is if its low milage and well looked after. i'm happy that mine was a late registered one as it only had 12,000 on the clock, which means i can keep it for longer as i add the milage to it. if your happy with what you bought then just leave it. but if you were specifically looking for a 313 bhp with the bonnet hump, then you you should have done your research first. should never go in blind to any car purchase. if you were on the forum before you bought then all the info is on here.

if he has to much money it would be cheaper just to get a prostitute in, spend just as much money but at least she goes back to her own place after.
