  1. this is what i do normally just with out the photos
  2. for me it was the lack of consistency, The Envy thread, the Rik thread the carbon forza thread. all of them were not locked and all of them have had an effect on the trader. carbon forza is no longer tradinng on here. i don't think people use Rik as much as they would have done. and the same with envy. rightly or wrongly Beavis was just doing his job. and understand his reasons for locking the thread, i just don't agree with them. doesn't mean i take it personally or hold a grudge and i'm happy to wait for this to be discussed by the mod and admin team and i shall wait for the thread to re open.
  3. i voted option 2 but actually think option 5 is a good option
  4. i haven't called for ages, but its about time i start calling daily
  5. you shouldnt have locked the thread beavis, does that help and yes i have the balls to say it and post it up. doesn't mean i dont appreciate the work you do or the time you give up. if john was being a nuisance via pm you should have just ignored him, or switched off the laptop/computer. i have this with work, knowiing the point at which to put the work down. it isn't going to blow up without you there and will still be here when you come back, and if he's being an arse then let one of the others deal with him. just my 2p's worth
  6. i'm sorry but i have an unanswered question, if CS still thought they were dealing with the Warranty work for the last 2 months; why haven't they done anything to progress it. if they thought they were still doing the claim they would/should have made some progress on the work. as has been said before this is not a personal issue with Mitz; i like mitz and have a laugh with him and he is a very friendly guy, but on this occasion i think that CS has made a monumental error. i'll wait for the original thread to be unlocked and for the first garage to have their say. and i think people need to keep this about the work in question and make sure that it doesn't become a personal attack. keep in mind no one is perfect and i bet all of us at somepoint in life have c0cked up
  7. Thanks guys, all good options. Will look into it today.
  8. Just fitted the JVC EXAD 7'' KW-AVX810 double din headunit it has a USB cable fitted and the plan is to run a portable harddrive. its cheaper and has more storage than an ipod etc. problem is i know very little about them. i don't want to buy something that won't work or do the job. so some help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. reading so far seems to be 2 types solid state and ones with moving disks; have no idea which is better/faster etc. guessing the solid state ones are like giat usb pen drives. looking for around 100gb of storage, dont need any more than 250 gb. needs to be a fast transfer rate, but a low power consumption. from what i've learnt so far some older style usb connectors don't supply enough power to run harddrives at their best and lead to slow transfer. not sure what my headunit is running so don't want to over push it if possible. from the ones i've looked at so far they talk of pre loaded software that means they are compatible with xp/vista etc straight from the get go. will this make any difference with me plugging it into aheadunit or will i need to do some kind of formatting on it? doesn't need to be major brand as i don't want to spend a fortune. what are other running? cheers in advance reading so far seems to have a variety of rpm speeds for the hard drive.
  9. this is the only big ear one that i have
  10. i've got to stop spending money on the zed
  11. has she got legs? she is a full sized house mate, not one of those cheaper half sized ones?
  12. are they answering the phone yet ? spoke to a very nice woman about 6 weeks ago, said they were going to look for my original engine cover, never heard back. last time i rang he was still in hospital. will try next week as work isn't as mental now GCSE marking is out the way

  17. YEs the interior needs aproper clean. will have it all sorted by Wales hopefully. Got some trimming to do on the interior.
  18. i recommend the vreds for the money honkooks are menat to be good, but never had much to do with them, some of the MR2 lads ran them, seemed happy enough. but different cars. have a chat with Dixon at DMS as i think he runs some track cars on them.
  19. ?? has obviously been a member of our fellow uk club.
  20. rear tow hook is behind the little square on the rear bumper. take the square off and then screw in the tow hook from in th eboot. as for the front. this is why i've been running the folding number plate. if you have the zunsport grille you'll just have to pop the grille out, or buy the one with the cut out for tow hook. if your running Zmanalex mesh i can't help you there. my guess is you'll have to cut a whole in it, but that will look messy.
  21. didn't trim anything off the top edge, mine catches slightly sometimes but other times it doesn't, the more i use it the more it seems to have found its best resting place. i'll see how it goes and i might trim some off if its needed.
  22. was contemplating running the video out to the sun visors and running sunvisors with screens in
  23. Husky its a real shame this situation happened. and could have easily been avoided if the job had been done properly in the first place. i get the distinct feeling the first place took on more work than they could handle and therefore couldn't give it the attention it deserved to do the job properly. i know all 3 parties involved and think Johns been very good at not just smearing a garage to make himself feel better and has also given the first garage an opportunity to post up and give their side. The original garage owner is a good bloke and i'm fairly certain this would never have been deliberate. everyone makes mistakes at some point, this one just happens to have been a costly one. but now might be a good point to come forward. better to step up to the plate, than wait to be revealed. i'm not sure if someone had cost me the best part of £4k that i would have posted such an impartial thread and protected the identity for so long.
