  1. There are evening courses at local colleges in things like photography, might be a good starting place, develop your skills abit, then start doing the odd job for people at weekends and build on it form there. if you get to a point where either the job or the photography has to give way its usually the point at which you can seriously look at swapping the career over. i know some one who started off doing wedding photography on the cheap for friends etc, then got recommended to others from those people and now he's booked up most weekends doing wedding photography. as the interest has gone up so has his price. its a nice little side earner for him at the moment.
  2. and if your going blind; then your doing it to much
  3. if you could pick any job to do what would you want to do, regardless of qulaifications experience etc. most people have a pipe dream of what they would rather be doing, or if they had dreams of setting up their own business. whats yours?
  4. and if your getting any bleeding, then your gripping to hard
  5. some people say masterbation is a good time killer, but most of the people that say that are w*nkers so don't take their advice.
  6. going for a number 2's is a big time killer in some jobs, for some people the amount of time they spend in the loo; their dropping 50 quid turds in the loo.
  7. i prefer the turquoise on those pics the purple just looks a bit meh!!! just not a purple car fan, i like the yellows blues and reds.
  8. no not flippy paint 2 tone, as in 2 different colours on the car next to each other not on top of each other, but i do like some flip paints not all though. is that colour called "ladyboy blue" ?
  9. there was an issue a few years back of an apparent bad batch of fuel from tesco. should be able to google it.
  10. i think cragus the only way to do anything different these days is maybe a combination of colours; maybe a kind of 2 tone finish. everyone has done the primary colours, so all thats left are the different shades or the secondary
  11. i think you should go beige, or maybe a burberry wrap??? no one has done that to a zed yet
  12. there are times when i can understand it, i know for instance R35LEE and Zamalex both do alot of car salvage, it would be unrealistic to expect them to list every part of the car going and how much; and also as its second hand the quality varies so the prices change depending on the age and quality of the part being sold, its far easier to pm them and say "I need a....." and they then pm you back. i've seen traders on forums who don't really advertise; but trawl the forum and when they see someone looking for something or doing something they send a pm offering the parts. i find this a little unfair on the traders who put in the effort to make things open; its almost as if its a secret club and you have to be invited to shop/deal with them. also you never know if the "secret price pm" you get is the same price everyone else is getting. you never know if they do special rates for some people and not for others.
  13. with international traders, or those that trade with parts from abroad i.e. the states why not quote the price in $ or euros etc but add ex shipping, as to be honest shipping is the only variable unless people are being cut deals on the side? or add a note that item is available via group buy giving a % and then minimum number needed to achieve this price. at the end of the day what ever is set out, some traders will still deal via pm
  14. fair doo's if your in a flood area, don't tend to see it my way. so not really an issue.
  15. i know paul hung up his light modding gear a while back; don't know if he picked it back up. if he hasn't i know husky was doing a few for people as well.
  16. an old set of stock alloys and some decent winter tyres would be cheaper this is a stock s2000 with just winter tyres on stock OEM wheels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCf7ssV0dNw&feature=player_embedded winter tyres make a big difference. still have to be careful but thats the same in any car. no need to sell and buy cars, you keep your daily runner, and as soon as it clears up you put the stock rims back on.
  17. i bought my zed, blind, but then it was still in warranty and i did all the checks. had no issues with mine, not so sure its something i'd do on a car out of warranty; and not from a main dealer.
  18. i do the same martin, it was more pointing out that this is nothing new; i'm all for helping the noobs, but i'm also aware that i wouldn't want to create more work for the admins creating something that i'm not 100% would really improve the situation. but if it improves the website and increases membership then it can;t be all bad.
  19. search function works fine, and we do have detailed FAQs above all the relevant sections, the issue is people are too lazy to look/read or move their mouse to the top right to click on a search button. why spend an hour or 2 learning about the car by reading up when you can repaeat the same question every other fecker asked before you. its been going on since before i joined and will probably still be happening long after i'm gone. its the way of the force, happens on lots of forums.
  20. agreed there are a lot of wearers of zed tinted glasses on here. its not a bad thing the zed is a great car, handles beautifully, great engine, fun to drive, stunning looks. it really is a complete package when it comes to cars. for those coming from the land of OEM built FI cars the zed can be a culture shock, not that it isn't as quick as some of the turbo cars going, more the fact that the zeds delivery of power can be deceptive, and what feel slike slow is actual fast but just delivered in a very linear and smooth manor. you don't get as much of a kick as you do with a turbo. to be honest as others have said its very difficult to find a car in the zeds price range that is as much of a complete package for the price. you can;t really go far wrong with the 350z, which model you choose is imaterial and based more on budget than overall competancy of each version.
  21. sweet mother of pearl that looks like fun;
  22. [quote name="captain rtbiscuit reckons there wouldn't be half a car between us and the OP has to decide if that is worth £10' date='000.[/quote] i must admit its a theortical guess, trying to balance it out in your head the diffenernece in torque, against bhp, with different weights. with 2 identical drivers there might be may be a car length to a length and a half, but again it depends on the track you test it on. if you use somewhere with long straights then the 313 is going to pull out a better lead, but if you keep it on compact technical track then i don't think there is much in it. and as said before most people on here don't have the talent to unlock all of the zeds potential to make the difference between the 2 noticable.
  23. the differneces in power we're talking about are minimal, its like the difference of 3 identical cars one has just the driver, one has a passenger and the last has 2 passengers. the newer versions are heavier if i remember rightly as well. the most noticable difference with the cars that would make the biggest difference. is who is actually driving it. you can all the power in the world but if you can't use it it will make bog all difference. i'd get a 276 spend the money saved on driver training and still be quicker than most on the track. but as alot of you don't track your cars, its irrelevant, most of this is about bragging rights in the pub. and playing top trumps with the figures.
