  1. You need an in-car dialling wand i've already got one, but its only 6" long and it won't reach the dash when i'm sat down hint: use your finger same issue, fingers to big
  2. i'd be screwed with my jumbo big fingers, i think my thumb would take up the whole screen. reminds me of homer simpson and the phone where he had to press the whole keypad for assistance
  3. haven't done it yet, but you should be working it into the seals, there shouldn't be any on the seals once your finished.
  4. Well if you would get yourself a hairdressers car. Plus you are probably on here more than the S2K forums i'm on both equally, but more happens here in the green room
  5. thankyou i got bored of all the subtle digs at my new car, so i thought i would change my avatar to something subtle
  6. you do realise we're in the UK we have tyres, not tires
  7. got bored of people making sly digs, so i thought i'd change my avatar to something subtle
  8. mine arrived today, if there are 10 people or at least enough people who want to share 10 pots i'll order a job lot. i bought 2 as they are only 14 g each
  9. as above about 500 miles, depends on the tyre and how much release agent they use. toyos are pretty bad for it. and don't do a burn out on new tyres, the rubber is heat sensitive and need a few heat cycles in them to be at their best then they are fine. if you burn out on fresh tyres it can make them not as effective as they could be.
  10. i don't mind his reviews, at the end of the day its an opinion and everyone is entitled to one, just because he's on the TV doesn't make his opinion right. i liked their review of the Z4 vs Boxster vs S2000 all 3 couldn't agree and the stook wasn't the fastest, but it was still an entertaining review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWnHPbUMlMU i did disagree on his review of the new civic type R, but then like others have said a car choice espeically with cars like the zed is a choice of the heart and not of the head.
  11. oh dear, that spyker looks lieks omething a kid has drawn bit worrying as they are now in charge of Saab
  12. looks like a silver fezza, kinda hoped for more from the boys at lotus
  13. born in 81, didn't have my own computer till i went to university in 2001,
  14. do people want me to bulk order the super lube and sell out at cost price to save people a few pennies (this is not for profit; i am not trading)
  15. i was born in the very early 80's and can understand all that, but maybe my parents we just old fashioned
  16. Vaseline sounds a bit risky. If it can deteriorate the rubber in JIMMY HATS not sure how it reacts to door seels someone tried it on s2ki and it made the windows not shut properly. had to open the door to get them to shut properly
  17. looks like good stuff, anything is a good idea. one of the big debates on the other side was should you use the honda reccomended shin-etsu grease. its now very hard to get hold of and very expensive. general consensus over there was any silicone grease will do, so why pay over the odds for shin-etsu.
  18. As I mentioned in my e-mails to the Mods I dont have the time or funds to order the parts required and make the units up. This is here now and many people seem happy. I hope I havent upset any of the paying member along the way though. Bet your glad you dont have a Z to put this back yard mod on lol. I could always looking into sorting the Honda for you lol...does if have electric mirrors for folding? Alex i am glad i don't have a Zed anymore, selling it was the best decision i made in a long time its a nice idea but if i was going to do it i would have done it with a microcontrol unit. never got round to it as it was further down my priority list. time and effort of manufuacture compared to overall outlay was not beneficial at the time, because i have a day job i tend to go with the saying "minimal input for maximum output" this mod didn't fit that motto at the time. as for the honda it doesn't have autofold mirrors. if i need to fold them i'll get out and do it by hand i might do a microcontrol box for autodipping mirrors on reverse though, but at the end of the day, with the roof off rear visibility is outstanding.
  19. i bought this stuff http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT lads on the other site only tend to do it once a year, but no harm in being more frequent. others have said if your using the spray put it direct onto the cloth then rub in. only needs a thin film so 30g should last a very long time. doesn't have to be this stuff, any silicone grease will do stuff from diving shops is mena tto be good.
  20. thankyou or posting this, i'm sure many will appreciate this. if you bought those parts in bulk you could sell them as kits and easily make some money on this. don't use maplins as they are expensive for bulk buying, but a bit of research could see you putting togehter a nice kit.
  21. This is something i was never really aware of when i had the zed as no one really spoke of it; so my guess is no one has really done it or thought of it. Since i've been over on S2KI.COM i've learnt a few things that might be useful for Zed owners. This is the latest thing i've found out. as winter approaches and the wet weather increases lots of S2K owners use a silicone grease and lube up all the seals. these are the seals around the softtop and where the window meets the roof. it helps to plump up the rubber keeps the rubber nurished and helps it do its job better. those who are struggling with leaky windows may find that this along with a window reset my help cure the problem as the windows seal the same on both cars. it will also prolong the life of the seals and make them more effective. i've just bought 2 14g tubs of super lube which should see me good for several years. hope this helps others
  22. looks alright, not my thing, but not a bad looking wagon.
  23. i had a civic type s with the 2.2 diesel, was a great car and run around, really liked the dash, loads of pull, and i used to get 55mpg out of it when i was doing big commuting. think i got 60 mpg once or twice. very comfy, and when remapped it becomes a beast.
  24. Coincidence.....? not me haven't tracked this baby yet
