  1. i like to lick mine clean, but if i fancy a change, i just tend to use what ever i used cloth wise on the wheels, and what evers left in the washing bucket. which at the moment is zymol; (all they had in halfrauds for an emergency wash,) but it smells amazing.

  3. must...refrain...from...digging...big....hole
  4. it will have some effect, for instance the increase in drag will make your MPG worse, on a serious note it will have some affect, but enough to make a aerodynamic difference to lap times i doubt it. but it looks pretty
  5. you'd get missfires and on a 4 cyclinder you would know as it would be horribly lumpy
  6. i've actually grown a liking for it this whole expereience has been a learning curve either for this business to expand or for a new venture in the future. i've really enjoyed tracking where everything goes, creating a brand image, and all the other little things.
  7. is the mitsi drive by wire like the zed, i.e is the pedal actually connected directly to the engine with a cable or is it going to a wire that then tells the engine what to do? its odd how taking it out of gear and back into gear seems to clear the problem. if it was a vac leak i would expect the issue to be continuos and not sporadic. in frequency would suggest an electrical fault. but not gaurenteed. i reckon you can rule out injectors as if they were missfiring or blocked you'd get a lumpy idle or aceleration. same would be if it was the coil packs and glow plugs. my money is on a sensor issue, be it maf, or O2, which could be caused by dodgy sensor, or an external factor like a leaky hose or something that impacts the sensor.
  8. are these chapless DD y fronts
  9. have you hooked it up to any kind of OBDII reader? there maybe giveaway codes on the ECU, not all codes stored will send up DTC warning lights. next i;d be looking at the MAF take it out give it a clean with some carb cleaner, might be getting dodgy air readings and therefore making the ECU cut the power.
  10. So you wouldn't bang Megan Fox if she was wearing a Primark outfit? nope i can't stand her either, vacuous, and you could stick her in any clothes you like, but she'd still be a thumber.
  11. somebody didn't take their meds today
  12. start small and work up, to be honest my business is more a hobby, and pays for my other hobby; cars i think my initial investment was £200 of my own cash, i also used a fair wack more but thats becuase i have also reinvested back into the business. at the end of the day, if i stopped i won't have lost anything and still have my day job to return to. or if it picks up i can cut back on the day job and increase the hobby. i have long term plans and goals but its a case of doing it when i can and when i can afford to.
  13. i enjoyed the articles, made me laugh, i don't take it that seriously, there choice of car comparisons are odd and often mismatched. but i enjoy the banter. be it scripted or not.
  14. you could stick a nissan badge on a ferrari, but it would knock £100k off the value of the car. toyota lookers chelmsford - were brilliant, had playstations to play on, comfy chairs, fit reception staff, tv to watch, internet browsing to pass the time, free tea and coffee (this was over 5 years ago, but back then they were good) Honda in stoke were pretty spot on marshalls volvo seem pretty good, dealing with them at the mo. i suppose i've been lucky with most other makes and dealers. just out of 5 nissan dealerships i dealt with the service was... horrific, i think marshalls nissan were they only decent one and they were an HPC. not defending so much in one of my original posts out of what was on offer i'd take the jag, but if i was spending that much in real life i wouldn't have it, i'd take the maserati GT MC stradale again its got bundles of soul. like some porsches the GTR is just too clinical; i think it would remove the reward of driving when it becomes so easy to drive fast as the computers do all the hard work. i want a car thats a challenge, and that when you master it you feel rewarded for it.
  15. Are you really serious? You're saying that the GTR is worthless because it was made by Nissan? That's crazy...anyone who has seen my Z has either been into cars enough to know that the Z is awesome regardless of whether 'the same people' made the Micra or they have known so little that they couldn't even deduce that it was a Nissan with the Z badges on it...Either way, who cares?! If anything, I prefer it to be made by some clever people at Nissan and be a Nissan. It is unpretentious and is loved for what it is, not for the complete BS that most cars similar represent. The Z actually has some character. On the Nissan parts / aftersales etc...again...who cares? If I had the money to buy a car like the Z new then I wouldn't care about those costs...but I don't. So, I enjoy being able to take my car to people who are passionate about cars (Japex for example) where I know the car will be looked after better than it would at a dealership anyway. The badge is a piece of metal...the GTR is just genius. i bought and owned my Zed when they were expensive, when it had a warranty, when i didn't have a choice but to use the nissan numpties. they might be able to build them, but they sure as hell can;t employ many people to fix them properly. and yes i do take my cars to specialists; i do a lot of work on them myself, but anything i don't have the time for goes to a garage that build race cars/touring cars/ endurance racers and purpose built track cars. i'm not arguing about the 350 or the 370 and basically what sarnie and chesterfield have said summed up what i haven't been very eloquent about saying
  16. I hope this kind of proves my point yes the smart car might cost less, and be faster than the ferrari, but i know which one i would take home. the ferrari (and i don't even like ferrari's ) i would rather drive/have/own a jag/porsche/merc/bmw/audi/ferrair/lambo etc over the nissan, it might be faster but these days where do you really get to do that aprt from on the track; as a day to day car the differences are negligible. i know this is the wrong form to voice this opinion, as this si a nissan forum after all, but its just the way i feel, and i'd be lying to myslef if i follwed the masses and swooned over a car that i don't actually like. (and there are lots of mainstream sports cars i don't like with posh badges on as well) if it makes you all feel better i don't like ferrari's as they don't sound right i don't like most BMW's as they look far to common ( i see them as the new mondeo) most audi's are dull i've tried to like skoda, but i just can't even though they are great cars and to prove i am a complete freak of nature i still hold out hope that peugeot are going to one day come back with another great hatch i have a yearning for alfa that is unnatural even though they don't build anything that actually challenges any of its competitiors i like old jags, 30 years before i actually should need i go on. its just another fact of life, different horses for courses
  17. If only Nissan had some sort of HPC that specilalised in GTRs & you could only purchase new GTRs from them. That would be wonderful they do but they also sell all the other nissan crap out of it as well still not specialist enough i'm not slurring the GTR, i know its a corker of a car, will out perform pretty much anything, will out grip, out corner and out acelerate out everything, but its let down by its badge.
  18. its like someone saying tesco's finest is like waitrose it just isn't
  19. still wouldn't have one for one reason only it has a nissan badge on it a 350z with a nissan badge is ok it was a 30k car a 370z with a nissan badge is ok it is a 30k car but a 60k car with a nissan badge regardless of how amazing it is, even if it could drive on the ceiling un aided will still have a nissan badge on it. just taking the badge on its own, its one of the ugliest badges i've ever owned. and then take the fact that the same badge is driven around on 6k cars it kills any kudos the GTR whould have. nissan should have down with the GTR what mitsi did with the EVO, its almost seen as a separate entity from mitsubishi it had its own special ralliart dealerships that only sold evo's i liked my zed and i still like them, they are pretty to look at; but the zed for me was the worse car i've ever owned, and part of that was down to nissan, the dealerships the head office, and the car. and at the end of the day, if i was spending that kind of money, i'd want Porsche standard customer service and sales, not nissan service and sales.
  20. Like you i cant stand Cheryl Cole she is a talentless bint, but i disagree with comparing her with the GT-R, that car (the new GT-R) is very talented that totally rewrites the rule book I would buy one in a heartbeat, infact i have been trying to raise the £69k all day I just love it simply because its not a badge and the fact that its a Datsun that destroys most other car's for a fraction of the cost. i agree it is a great machine, maggie thatcher was a great woman, doesnt mean i want to bed her. for me the issue i have with the GTR its cheap for what it is (some may not see this as a disadvantage) but to me that says its been built to a price, so nissan are building to the extremes of waht they can achieve within their budget, anything that is done to the extremes in manufacturing is never going to be the best. i don't mean the whole package, but i'm referring to individual components. isn't that launch control limited to only 3 uses before needing a new gear box? doesnt it need servicing at minisule intervals, meaning it will be in and out of the garage. it lacks class it has a nissan badge on it. (nothing wrong with nissan; but at the end of the day it shares its badge with a micra) i think at the end of the day, like the previous GTR's i admire the technology; but i wouldn't have one. as a track toy maybe but i'm not on the track everyday; there are other cars i would rather turn up to a function in than the GTR the car may not be as expensive as the jag, but i bet the nissan parts are.
  21. that GTR does nothing for me, if it was a girl i'd have to thumb it in. but if your going by my sense of taste i also think cheryl tweedy is a munter; as soon as she opened her mouth that jordie accent just kills it for me every time. like the GTR and the tweedy, i'm sure both are great and if thats what floats your boat then crack on. if i had 2 have one of the 2 available on that show, i'd take the jag, the interior is nicer the bodywork is nicer the image is better. if i had the money would i buy that jag in real life... no for that kind of money i'd get a masarati granturismo MC stradale
  22. Nah I tried it out, you'd need to use isofix though (comes standard on them I believe). Strap kid in befoehand though and then just 'click' them in Then again I'm out of work with a pulled ligament in my back... so maybe not great Easy solution: Cut out a gullwing style rear quarter section, dilemma solved. Or install a sunroof that opens way way WAY back, lol 4 seater convertibles are genious when it comes to kids and putting baby seats in, as you just remove the roof
  23. have you tried resetting the codes? have you tried the TPS reset (throttle position sensor) try an ECU rest as well
  24. Why, what has happened? he's selling up and as for pant pulling down, they aren't worth much as they rot out very quickly
