  4. come to the dark side my young padawan the force is strong in this un!
  5. what is that like 50mph-90mph? i have no idea of numbers, but thats around where the real kick is, basically if i'm cruising around 50-60 leptones and dump the throttle it just pulls like a steam train i think thats where alot of its power is, basically dropping a cog and flooring it for over taking.
  6. come on hugh; you might as well post yours up and trump us both its not like your aston is lacking really is it If I knew the stats I would post them ......... all I know is that performance is .......... erm .........ADEQUATE i'm making some guess on your car, but if its a DB9 V12 volante auto 2 dr, then these are your rough figures Engine Size = 5935 cc Cylinders = 12 0-60 mph = 4.9 s Power Output = 450 bhp Valves = 48 Torque = 570 Nm 420 lb-ft Top Speed = 186 mph
  7. come on hugh; you might as well post yours up and trump us both its not like your aston is lacking really is it We could probably add ours together & not come close If I added my van & R34 together I still wouldnt match the jag got some add on coming soon that will push it close to about 450bhp and what make sme laugh is that to get the extra 80 bhp will cost me less than a grand i would have had to spend 3 times that on the zed to make a third of that gain on the zed i have been converted to FI i must say. its the only way to go.
  8. come on hugh; you might as well post yours up and trump us both its not like your aston is lacking really is it yep a lack of money and sleep
  9. Ahh, go on then engine Size = 2568 Cylinders = 6 0-60 mph = 4.9 s Power Output = 280 bhp Valves = 24 Torque = 400 Nm 293lb-ft Top Speed = 155 mph lol
  10. Let the willy waving begin engine Size = 3996 cc Cylinders = 8 0-60 mph = 5.2 s Power Output = 370 bhp Valves = 32 Torque = 525 Nm 387 lb-ft Top Speed = 155 mph
  11. he caused me no end of grief with vinyl, he'd want loads of stuff, but give no pictures for it, i'd then spend hours doing the drawings and then he never got back in contact. at that point he taught me a valuable lesson, take money upfront before big custom jobs. and if his name is M350Zb, then don't pick up the phone.
  12. i like the boxsters, nice cars, prefer the cayman looks; and this is odd, but 911 looks don't do alot for me, i like them, but it doesn't make me fizz.
  13. they are developing a map for unleaded tuning
  14. wow that was short term
  15. That was also funded by tesco so its crazy biased, also im sure they compared it to optimax not v power. i thought it was an independent test done by a tuner. would need to find it to see.
  16. there was a thread or a link to a thread on here where they tested different fuels out on a dyno. tesco came out the best by that i mean it gave the best BHP figure
  17. You sure they weren't using that special BP 100+ Octane race fuel that they sell at like, 8 select petrol stations near race courses? Not trying to start an argument, but I seriously doubt that Super gives you that much more over normal. Maybe 10-15 but not 40. I thought the main benefits of super were slightly cleaner and better additives for the engine, and a little more power. No way that super gives 40-50 bhp improvement, I would be shocked if it even gave 10. its not a gain of 40-50 bhp on super, it means you get the full performance of the car, becuase thats what its tuned to. by running on unleaded, your loosing 40-50bhp.
  18. forgot to add, you'll need about 3 tanks through before you see a difference.
  19. cost works out about the same, super gets more mpg but costs more, normal gets less mpg but costs less. the difference between the 2 is small when it comes to mpg when you comapre with cost as well. but more importantly it tells you the car needs super as thats what the cars tuned for. if you want to run on regular, get the engine mapped for it.
  20. instead of taking the whole base up (i'm guessing its concrete) can;t you just add the extra 30 cm to one side and slide the frame down. basically leaving you with a small lip at one side i'm doing a drive way, and it was only through research that i've managed to avoid planning permission. basically i am building a semi permeable surface so no need to drain surface water, so i don't need planning. as for your neighbour; that tells me, he may not be complaining, but he's chatted to other neighbours, and someone else is, but he doesnt want to say who.

    Tax...

my road tax on the XKR is 215.00 not bad for 4.0litre superchared V8

  23. have a look at these nissan dealers, they all belong to the nissan High Performance Centres and mainly deal with nissans top cars; so the GTR's and zed cars, http://www.nissan-dealer-hpc.co.uk/home ... dukpsgg002 they should have a good selection of performance nissan cars, and a good stock list hopefully in what your looking for.
  24. 5w30 anything with a decent brand name and fully synth my personal fav on the zed was royal purple ( i like to be different) lots of others like silkolene Pro S (now known as fuchs titan pro S) amsoil is good
