  1. looks interesting, might have a play with one for the V8
  2. best thing to do is try them and see if you like them, if you like them, visit your MOT friend and see what they say. if they say no. you could still keep them just swap over for the MOT.
  3. Japanparts is usally a good source for all things japanese
  4. thats hexis personally i prefer to wrap with hexis over 3M their carbon is a better looking finish than 3M
  5. I never showed you the bill for the 911 exhausts, did I? Makes that seem cheap Go look up the price of the Tubistyle Veyron exhausts, will make you feel a whole lot better i did see the price of the acropovic exhausts for the porsche weren't they like £9k or something silly.
  6. lol yes the coil packs are all firing on all 8 cylinders and i replaced the leaking cam cover gaskets before christmas. still have other stuff to fix just fancied treating the car to something other than replacement parts as for your little MX5 if its an import then you don't need cats and de cat away. it is after all a track car. sadly the jag needs them so will be having sport cats. to give you guys an idea of costs for XKR exhausts, you lot like the milltek setup and they do them for the XKR its just over £1000 for un resonated and just under £1200 for a resonated version, and thats just the cat back system. the hi flow cats are an additional £1200 so well over £2000 without even fitting it. if you go down the arden route, and there stuff is very good but the cat back alone is £3300 before fitting.
  7. possibly eBay for a small roll, i;d pick hexis over 3M from experience
  8. as far as i'm aware the only road legal method of tinting lights is to use something called a fly eye's kit. as its a perforated film it doesn;t obscure all the light. and is the only MOT legal tinting method i know of.
  9. Good job glad the left over bit i had was big enough
  10. don't mind them, but i'd be interested to see if they would still pass an MOT with them on.
  11. true duals with X pipes in are still "true" duals the x pipe just allows both banks to scavange gases from each other and balance the engine. even ones without often have H pipes in them to allow both banks to balance. this makes a big difference and can help maintain torque instead of losing it. as for what to go for, have a chat with Tarmac or go visit his website at Tarmacsports i'd go high flow over de cats, de cats will allow more power but will add a rasp to the exhaust note (its personal choice, some like it, but i find it a little de-valuing on the Zed) for about £1k you should be able to get a nice setup.
  12. what wheels are they and how big are they? they make the disc and caliper look lost. i think its the wheels that make the disc hat look bad as its so easy to see. as said above, wire brush and hammerite are your friend mine need a similiar treatment so your not on your own.
  13. i might be able to send you a "trial" version
  14. doesn't need them as the car won;t have 550 bhp
  15. This is the 2nd shine bumper on this forum I've heard that's had issues. Contact the seller they should be able to help you out.
  16. still have to have Cats as its post 1991 so car is required to have them. and i don't want to be doing the decat shuffle every 12 months. i must admit for the price i'm getting it all done for i'm laughing, i'm saving £250 over the cheapest sports cats i can find for the jag and that doesn;t include fitting as well. i also think de catted leads to nasty rasps that shouldn't be there. decats sounded harsh on the zed, its why i went the sports cat route on my old 350. and also i want to maintain some pressure in the system as making it to free flow i'll lose low down torque to gain high end, and to be honest i have no problem with the high end. the design should allow an increase in torque across the range and improve lowdown power and unleash the V8 noise.
  17. i don't think its that bad, get rid of the wheels and do some de stickering its not to bad a car
  18. digimoto 5 was what i used on my laptop was very good. still have it and the cable, but it won;t install on my works laptop as my works laptop is ghey.
  19. just like the 350Z must admit i appreciate the delorean, but i wouldn't want one. isn't it the only irish sports car to date?
  20. its about 20k over priced and the stillen supercharger doesnt make 500bhp it would be lucky to see just over 400bhp seems not only the price was inflated
  21. TRD, Nismo, chargespeed etc the original stuff is generally a perfect bolt on. and to be honest, genuine stuff from other manufacturers need very little adjustment. its usually copy kits that don't fit properly or require major adjustment to fit. biggest lesson i learnt was buy original stuff only. it might cost more on the outlay, but generally needs hardly anything spent other than just paint.
  22. The HKS filters aren't very good at filtering. great for airflow but they let alot of crap in as well.
  23. Longlife use T304 stainless steel for all parts of their exhaust and tig weld all joints. i think powerflow use T304 for some parts but not all. Arden cost a fortune, good stuff but sooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive
