  1. Would be nice if I can get at least 6 months out of it before having to get it fixed.
  2. No everything seems to work fine. I noticed the noise every now and again in the past but now it's almost always there. It goes as soon as the clutch is pressed. The car is louder in gear as well but with the engine and exhaust sound it's not clear. Sounds rough as hell from outside the car if it's just idling. 😞
  3. When idling my car is making a bit of an unpleasant noise. The noise goes when I depress the clutch. I think that perhaps this might be the release bearing? There is no obvious signs of clutch slippage. I hate the racket it is making but aside from the noise is a faulty clutch bearing an immediate problem? I'm getting married soon so this is not a good time for me to forking out on a new clutch. Thanks
  4. I didn't realise we had this. I could have stolen all the glory. I had 2085 this season although that only netted me 10th place in my league!
  5. Does anyone sell any large car parts on eBay? If so who do you use for the shipping? I have Leon parts Citroen parts Skyline parts Scooby parts Renault parts 200sx parts All left over from my old cars. They've been advertised on gumtree but I think the time has come just to whack most of what's left on eBay with no reserve. Just need a good cheap company for the shipping. Thanks
  6. I take it physical tickets will come out shortly afterwards? Their website is rubbish.
  7. Space isn't a big issue. I'm 6'4" and I fit okay. I'm also fat and that's not an issue. Only time I struggle is getting my size 14 feet in if I'm parked where I cannot fully open the door. On the whole though it's far more accommodating than most of the cars I've owned. Car wise just look for the best you can get. I got mine from a dealer because the Mrs insisted on that minute extra piece of mind. I only paid slightly over your budget in Nov and I got a 2007 with the rev up engine. I really wanted the newer interior and the gt extras but they were more an asthetic choice than a case of wanting the extra few bhp.
  8. Soft tips are a pain. The Mrs has one on her fiat. Can't park under the tree because of the sap, cat try's to claw it, roof can only be hosed not scrubbed, the cabin is loud, with the roof open the sun can be blinding. It's not open very often because our weather is rubbish. Both she and I agree we should have got her a hardtop. In terms of which model defo go for a GT and I'd try and get one with the newer interior.
  9. I wouldn't look at it as a which model question but rather look for the best example you can get for your money. Any HR for 7k is likely to be a dog but both the early models and the revup are good cars. Try a few and buy the best one you can find for your budget. I have a revup and the higher tax. I pay considerably more in tax than I do in insurance but I like my car so that to me was worth the extra couple hundred quid a year.
  10. Couldn't resist the photo op
  11. Either way mustang is a few years off. I'm not ready to spend 40k (getting married in November) so really I'm looking to FI the zed to hopefully satisfy me for 4-5 years until I can afford something new.
  12. Most write ups actually don't see too much of a lag issue with the rear mount. I don't think I'd get a predone one. If I sell I'd probably get something already turbo'd from the factory. Jet pilot you may well be right about the stang, I've not been in one yet but I've always loved them and now that they are rhd I do really like the idea. And there no saying I can't FI that too 😠I'll keep my eye out for someone to take me out in their sc
  13. To start with, yes there are lots of topics and I’ve searched / googled loads. Lots of the searches bring up people’s opinions but a lot of the opinions don’t appear to be based on actual experience. I come from a mostly Turbo back ground ( 3 R33 gtst, 3 Impreza wrx, legacy GTB, Leon 1.8T, S13). I love the feel and theatre that Turbo cars offer. I was saving for an R34 GTT but opted instead for the Zed because I love the look of the car and felt at the time that 300bhp was more than adequate to last me the next 5 years after which I’m hoping to afford a new V8 Mustang. The problem is I’m already bored of the Zed’s performance. Short term I’m thinking I’ll spice it up with a clutch upgrade and a loud exhaust but this isn’t going to really scratch the itch. I think I need to decide between changing cars in a year or going FI. I have an 07 Rev Up, mechanically standard with a full service history. It does use oil but touch wood it’s in good shape. I tried to find a good example rather than a low miler but at 94k I’m concerned about the suitability of an FI upgrade. I suppose I’ll price up the build and then do a compression test and take it from there. I’d be hoping to keep within a 10-12k budget, which from researching seems feasible as long as I keep the boost low. I’ll eventually get to my questions. And that is which system do I plan for, and more specifically which one and where to buy from. 1. Supercharger. I have no experience of these. I think I’d prefer a turbo but research suggests this is the best bolt on option in terms of set up and reliability. 2. Twin Turbo This is easily my preferred option but also looks the dearest. And which set up. Most of the options seem to be in the states. The APS looks good but seems to be discontinued? 3. Rear Mount I’d never even heard of this type of set up until I started googling but the STS system does look like it might be the best fit for me. The complete kit is less than £4k and looks like I can probably even install it myself. Anyone on here running this? I have a few concerns due to its location. Mainly the state that it might end up in, clearance and I’ve heard about issues with the oil feed. If I was to go for a Cobra exhaust now, along with an uprev would I later get compatibility issues with this set up? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help set me off in the right direction.
  14. Seems a big shame to alter your car that looks so good now. I think you should get a standard one to rocket bunny rather than ripping apart one that is so well sorted. Mine is standard if you want to swap 😜
  15. The nav works independently but you will lose the nav audio unless you rig up a speaker. I haven't managed to find any decent guides on where to tap into for the nav audio
  16. Mass Effect is just installing 😎 Although I've heard of a few issues so hopefully there's a patch downloading too, nevertheless looking forward to the game ðŸ‘ðŸ»
  17. BGWs definately work. I had one on an old skyline. I took it off and the car was a lot more tail happy. And that was just on the roads with 400bhp so on a track with more power I think the advantages would be more evident

    Oil cap

Lmao. I challenge you to undo the bloody thing. It's my 24th car and I've never needed a hammer to put oil in anything before!
  19. I'm planning on a v2 bumper and spoiler. Not been able to source any second hand ones so looking at going down the replica route. I've faffed about with fitting and priming my own before but the zed is too nice for my substandard skill set so I need a good bodyshop in the Gloucester/bristol area. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Oil cap

Handy knowing all nissan ones fit makes it easy to grab one from the scrappy. Not soft it's hard to undo with a piece of bar and a hammer 😞

    Oil cap

Is anyone else's oil car an absolute pig? Ever time I need to top up or change the oil I have to get tools out of the garage so i can whack it. Completely impossible to undo by hand. No obvious signs of cross threading and it's done it the last several times. Very frustrating. Hoping simply buying a new cap will do the trick
  22. Can do a lot of work with the £200 you save. It's more a case of I actually just like the spoiler. Btw zedhead there is a v1 on gumtree just round the corner from me for £100
