  1. So after reading this thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/84396-rim-ringz-rim-protectors/ I want to get a set as my last wheels look terrible from parking (all happened in first weeks of ownership, was still getting used to the vehicle). Need help deciding on colour. The Zed is Silver with tinted windows The wheels are dark blue/black and Hydrodipped (pic below) What Colour Rim protector shall I go for? I was thinking Silver as it will contrast the rims and stand out but match the colour of the car, what else do you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 3 Zeds on the drive from san fran to LA Then another 7 in LA, 4 of them convertible. They must really like their Zeds out there,

  4. Great thanks for the info, this has been really helpfull! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Sounds like these shouldn't be an issue since they came of a ZED in the first place. I'll see what I can get him down to and mention I don't need the 5th. He should include the key nut aswell right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was going of this guide which says those are the numbers for stock 18 wheels: http://www.wheel-size.com/size/nissan/350z/2004/ Haven't actually gone out to the car and had a look, I'll go and check If there are any markings. I don't have the Rays, I believe they are a optional extra, I have the stock 18s, here a recent pic of my car: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have the standard 18 inch wheels with stock 225/45 front and 245/45 rear. I have seen this set on Gumtree of GT4 Rims and I am thinking to upgrade: https://www.gumtree.com/p/wheel-rims-tyres/nissan-350z-limited-edition-gran-turismo-4-gt4-alloys-hydro-dipped-wrapped-18-alloy-wheels-x5-unq/1136331963 Stock spec of current wheels/tyres are: 225/45R18 245/45R18 8.5Jx18 ET27 9Jx18 ET27 5x114.3 The new combination will be: 225/45R18 245/45R18 8Jx18 ET30 8.5Jx18 ET33 My question is would these fit my ZED OK?Does the difference In wheel width (J) and ET make much difference? If so should i use a different tyre size. As you can tell this is my first time venturing into the the world of changing Rims. Thanks 😊 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So if money wasn't an issue, would you get the Michelin Pilot Super Sport instead? Im running stock tyres on my Zed from previous owner and I skid and wiggle in every slight corner when its damp/wet, I counter by being in higher gear as possible and gentle acceleration. Really want to get new tyres as its very unsafe and scary, I heard MPSS are the undisputed best money can buy, and also wear really well, is this true?
  9. Hi I have the same issue, didn't realise until I went to change the bulbs then thought whoa?! Do I have an import lol Anyway what do you use / How do you unsolder / solder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Everything still running fine and smooth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. OK I guess the 110 was a rather arbitrary number, I do expect most cars to go well past this. My focus is on 178k still going strong. I guess what I meant is after 110 is when I would take all service and maintenance seriously not skipping on anything to save money, I think that's the reason my focus is still smooth at 178k. 12. 80k! I don't worry at all until it's over 110,000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Any attention is good attention. My best moment was stood outside the car waiting for the Polish guys to finish the car wash, a man approached and asked about the car said he was thinking of getting one, had a good 5 mins convo with him. I'm 24 but look about 16 so I get alot of looks because of that. My 1.5k sound system also attracts a lot of attention, a thumping system that you can feel makes any drive that extra special, especially in the Zed when that engine note mixes in with your tunes, feel like I'm in a fast and furious movie. I'm getting windows tinted this weekend. Also playing with the idea of Green base vinyl wrap with trible art and logos on it, make it look really fast and furious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I never knew the UK model is limited to 150, not like I'm ever gonna do that speed lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. My first Zed that I eventually wrote off, was terrible 1st to 2nd shift. My next one was OK, I changed to nissan gear box oil with molyslip, no immediate effect but after 2 weeks it's nice and smooth, even improved at cold. Not as smooth as my ford focus but as good as it gets for a 350z i think (I can slot it in 2nd with just my fingers, even on cold.) I do Rev match for smooth changes when accelerating, and because my biting point is very low, gently lift the clutch up. I'm not old school enough to have the patience for the double de clutch method, but good to know about it. I recommend OEM oil with molyslip see if it helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm originally from West Yorkshire, and I know for a fact that this road is used by racers and performance enthusiasts, Of course we will learn more from the investigation, but i wouldn't be surprised if the two young 20 year olds were ragging that Zed along with the quad bike, thoughts go out to the families. Stay safe people, road condition are changing now.
  17. I just stuck to the OEM nissan gear oil with molyslip additive, and OEM Nissan diff oil. Gear changes are nice and smooth and no issues. You don't have to over think when it comes to gear and diff oil, if in doubt stick to OEM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yes, just put this in my ZED, bought from opie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Great help from Mitz by email and parts were delivered promptly Will aim to pop one day when I have the spare cash for some mods
  20. Season 8 is the one for me, hilarious! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Is it best to install new braided lines and slave cylinder prior to fluid bleed / change, or after?
  22. FYI this was the problem with old dip stick, just before the drive after which this issue started It wouldn't go in properly so I kinda pushed it as much as I could then left it hung out a tad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. An update: I put this new dipstick in, which created a nice solid seal at the collar. Turned her on, gave a few revs now and then and some long revs, it's been running for 25 mins now and I check under the car every 2 mins, no new drops of oil, it's seems this was the issue, I'll take her for a little drive and check again. So after taking her for a drive, came home immediately looked under the car, nothing dripping, good sign 👠however I can see some white smoke coming out from passenger side headlight and bonnet area, my guess is this is just the spilt engine oil burning off the hot engine bay.
