1. At H-dev as we speak, added front bushes to the job as he said they are very worn. Will report back the difference in feel, he's putting on super pro.
2. I'm up for it, i'm only in Reading.
3. I'm off to the post office now, to sell the one I put on gumtree, I can post this at the same time, any takers?
4. I'm not entirely sure on that one, I don't think so, I think it's just for calls
5. Shipped via Royal Mail first class.
6. Ahh okay, maybe good time to bring this information up again then seen as though we are seeing a migration of young buyers getting their Zed's these days.
7. So Recently I came across this youtube video: In the comments I asked if he could make a tutorial for the boot fix, which he did and here it is: Great Video such a quick and easy fix! Sorry if this is re-post.
8. You make my heart race more than that flashing yellow light.....almost happy valentines x
9. LOL I should clarify the card and message is for the misses / GF....not the Car !
10. Valentines Day is just over a week away! As Car guy's we are used to racing around However as I have previously learnt, racing around last minute is not good for Valentines day So lets be proactive this year and start thinking about one of the most thoughtful parts of this day, What to write in the Card ?!? Not just any message, Proper Car / Zed guy messages, that really show how much we love them. I'll initiate launch control..... 'Every time we come together is like an auto rev-match xxxx'
11. Right, well I just got off the phone with H-Dev, after a discussion, I'm booked in next Friday morning for HEL braided lines and Fluid flush/bleed. So will update this thread then
12. Fair point I think ill send her in for a new Master and flush/bleed with new fluid. should do the trick....Hopefully
13.
Hmm, maybe I need to find someone nearby with ds2500's so I can see how they are. I'm really looking for quite a solid pedal at the top. Ah I believe I may have found the term I was looking for: pad knockback http://www.stoptech....s/pad-knockback As when I double tap my brakes, they feel brilliant, hmm doing some reading.
I have recently upgraded to the T2 and DS2500 as well, with existing RBF 660 fluid from the last recent service where they bled the system. I had the same issues with the old OEM pads and discs where I had to press the peddle twice to get decent initial bite. Since the new discs and pads (Front only) It seems as though the travel as become worse, it is indeed breaking when I press the peddle but very slightly, in short, its very progressive. Couple or three pumps continues to do the trick though. The car was services recently and the fluid was bled, so i doubt it's air in the system, I don't think it's knock back as it happens all the time not just after going round corner, plus i'm not cornering on track. I heard it could be master cylinder?
14. So after 200 miles of gentle braking on the new discs and pads, tonight I went out and followed the bedding in procedure, here is how my discs looked after, does this look ok? https://vimeo.com/153832319
15. Same here and yes I agree any sort of traffic situation or idle sitting is the worst. Can visually see my fuel needle going down haha
16. Probably just the cold then. Also just read your post again, I see you're doing 2.5 miles to work then engine off, same on way back, all that cold running and not letting it fully warm up must be a factor. I do 16 mile round trip, mon-fri and some weekend miles, got 2 weeks out of a full tank. I used to let her idle then drive, now I just turn the engine on, 10 seconds later I take off and take it easy up to 3k revs until temp gauge is Middle. I noticed my MPG go up greatly when I did this, now I always avoid idle running if I can. Edit: I should probably add that 95% of that journey is dual carriage with cruise control on.
17. Great result 👠does it feel different when driving ?
18. Yeh bud go for it, I recommend the scotchprint was easy to work with can be found cheap on eBay, I paid £17 for a roll plus £5 for a heat gun.
19. Iv'e decided i'm gonna get these lights and just install them without the fog. Reasons: 1) Easier 2) Looks better 3) At my last MOT I watched the tester the whole time, he never once turned the fog switch on or bothered to check lol
20. Wow are you sure you had little or no modding experience before?!? My build thread is probably gonna be a long list of thanks to who i paid to do XYZ lol
21. Thanks, the kit looks good. Will get some labour quotes (no way i'm going to attempt something like this as much as i would like to) nearest Zedxpert to me is H-Dev (30 mins) or Abbey (1 hour)
22. Ahh ok that clears it thanks, sounds like I just need the two oil seals and spark plug tubes then (two at the back with the oil in them) Is this something that's relatively easy to do, would the cam cover need to come off? if so guess I'll need the two gaskets as well. I assume all these parts are cheap, but the labour isn't. As first point of call ill inspect the chamber to see how much oil has come back in since they were cleared of oil at last service, to determine how bad the situation is.
