  1. My Thread is here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/98082-2004-clutch-pedal-issue-slave-rulled-out-as-fault/page__hl__clutch Thanks for the recommendation i have found their ebay store here http://stores.ebay.co.uk/conceptua-tuning Will take a look at their products and pricing now. Good Luck with your clutch job, hopefully the master/slave/braided lines should finish the job can you enjoy your new performance clutch
  2. I Agree regarding the clutch and flywheel should not need replacing being this new. I should get the receipt sent today over from previous owner who did the clutch and flywheel, so then i will know what exactly was done and which parts were used, I remember him saying he didn't go for the lightweight so I assume he put a stock OEM one on (dual mass excedy) I will confirm this shortly. You mention 'Torqen' but the site you gave me is 'Concept Z Performance' can you explain what you mean? Nether the less it is a very good site and reasonable pricing that makes me feel like a kid in a candy store (especially now the £ is strong) Here is my shopping basket so far, depending on what the mechanic says on Monday I will order the parts I need from this basket list. (im praying he simply says Master) Anything I'm missing in my basket? Zmanalex is apparently the guy on the forum that can source and ship clutch parts in the UK, iv'e already pinged him, maybe he can get these parts at a better rate Thanks for all the Help.
  3. Im in a similar situation, where i need new a clutch possibly and am looking at the CC stage 2 with flywheel as well the JWT. Where did you buy the parts from and does it come with the release bearing? Are you also changing the Master/Slave Cylinder? Finally which garage are you using, has the mechanic much experience with 350Z car? https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=2223 (JWT Clutch on sale, shipped from US) This site also sells the competition clutch you got, aswell as lines, Zspeed Master, and Slave.
  4. In Anticipation for the Mechanic saying the clutch and flywheel need replacing, what do you guys think of JWT 14lbs Lightweight flywheel and clutch combination? Iv'e heard good things about the JWT Products. However they need shipping from the US. I have also been looking at Competition Clutch stage 2, lightweight flywheel and clutch which you can get both for around the same price as the JWT except in the UK (on many sites, including ebay) What do you guys recommend?
  5. Great thank you, is there any place in the UK that stock and ship this Master Cylinder? Do you also have a link to zspeed or similar quality slave cylinder? This is the SS braided lines I'm gonna get http://cougarstore.c...&products_id=32
  6. Thanks for the info, i am hearing that alot. Is there a test to check if it is indeed the slave/master cylinder? Where can i buy new slave and master cylinders? Thank You
  7. Was driving along and noticed I couldn't change gears. Pulled over. When I pressed the clutch pedal down it would stick there at the bottom and wouldn't come back up. I quickly realised the clutch is fully engaaged and will not disengage, my pedal action does nothing. I callled AA and then did some research and realised this could be slave cylinder issue. I pointed this out to the guy and we did some work together he went under the car and I was depressing and releasing the clutch as he told me to while a third person was up top keeping the clutch fluid topped up. He concluded that it's not a hydrolics issue, and the plates are stuck together. He said either the pressure plate is gone, or the clutch release bearings. Got it towed to the garage and the mechanic will take a look on Monday. The cluth and flywheel was done less then 5k miles ago, so very surprised about this. I was noticing some burning smells starting a few days before this happend. Can anyone shed some light on this, and also tell me where is the best place to get a good clutch at a good price for the 2004 350z? Thank you in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Haha I don't plan on it, especially now that I've just invested in a new sound system. From Hertz component speakers Hertz HCPD4 Amp Hertz 12 inch sub Alpine 178bt I'll put some pics up soon. So are you Will's Mechanic mate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you change the head unit in a Zed with after market, you have to the change the speakers too, and install an amp and lay down new wiring. The issue is that the Bose system and speakers are all designed to run at 2ohm resistance, whilst almost everything aftermakket (HU, Speakers, amps, subs) are 4ohm. This is not necessary a Zed issue its Nissan in general. If you decide to upgrade the HU only (as I initially did) you'll find that your HU is being over worked, and the speakers are underpowered (Max volume on the head unit will still leave you wanting more volume). You'll also find that certain settings (Sub level, HPF, LPF) do nothing. alternative to spending this much money, is upgrade the HU only with a 2ohm HU, but I have looked and I honestly can't find any.
  10. When you did this, did you also change the head unit? Im gonna install new Hertz front component speakers, Sub and Amp, and a Alpine 178bt head unit. The amp is 4 channel (power the front and sub) Not sure what do about the rear speakers, I cant plug them direct into the head unit as the 4ohm HU will suffer feeding to 2ohm speakers. I could send the rear pre-amps from the HU to the stock Bose amp and keep the rear speakers powered this way, but again not sure if this is healthy for the HU. or just bypass the rear speakers all together.
  11. Thanks! Good to be back in a ZED I actually do have HKS parts and Hancook tyres on this one, the Nos and Greddy is just for looks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's been a great weekend! New ZED! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeh it was a 30, I'm pretty sure i was doing 30! And kinda sure I had ESP on! 🵠It's indeed a write off, although RT Performance said they will repair for 3k if I ask insurance for the repair money and car rather than car value, I Cba messing with a CAT-D though. Any way, driving around in my focus doing food delivery after work to quickly save up again for another ZED, I spot this! Talk about a slap in the face! I sighed and died a little inside to see what I once had! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Everyone, just one of those things i guess
  15. Thanks If it does end up being a write off, any tips to get the valuation higher, I valued it at 6k when i took the insurance out, its 2004, 92,000 miles (avg 8k per year), full service history, last MOT (June 14) pass with no advisory's. latest service in March this year and new battery. Interior in mint condition everything works like new. Found a couple ads online for cars same age almost same mileage going for the 6k mark so will use that to support my case. Maybe i can get an valuation from the owners club?
  16. Haha it was for my Instagram. New tyres lots of tread, but Budget brands, previous owner was a bit stingy i guess.
  17. Day 1 (14th April), Bought the perfect Z, good age, condition, everything, very happy to finally own after falling in love with it since watching tokyo drift as a kid. Even put a nice tasteful decal on the back Then was driving alone one Saturday evening (25th April) back home from super market. it was wet, the first rainfall in a long time of dry weather, creates very slippery conditions. I did a Brian O' Conner (first supra scene from fast and furious 1) The car spun out of control as i turned slightly i did a 360 to the other side of the road, hit parked car, the impact caused me to do another 180 and then hit the car parked further down behind it. All impact was to driver side (I'm fine) Insurance are taking it to the garage tmr to get repair evaluation, hopefully it can be repaired and not a total loss. No windows smashes, no air bag's deployed, headlights intact, rear of car fine, boot open and shuts fine, passenger door fine. The engine has no damage starts up and runs fine, in fact the recovery guy drove it on the flat bed without issue. From what i can see its all just cosmetic, which is surprising/lucky/fortunate bearing in mind the impacts. New Drivers door New drivers side rear panel new front bumper If you guys spot or can think of anything else please let me know, anyway the car has gone to Thames Valley Accident Repair in Reading, they are Nissan approved. Im also looking to get evaluations from other garages, can anyone recommend a good one at good price? iv'e heard of RT Performance in Wembly. The garage should ring me in next 48 hours with estimate, any calculated guesses? it would be a shame for a fine Z to get written off but at least it would of gone out in style. My 3 years no claims were on my ford focus so at least i still have those. Of course im annoyed and upset, had my dream car realized and removed in the space of 11 days. But main thing is i'm fine and no one else involved. Will be a funny story in the pub someday Happy to be a new owner and member. All laughs and jokes at my expense are welcome. Thank You. DarmoZ
