    Clutch

Cougar store or Adrian from torqen (trader on here) will get you the parts, will need clutch and flywheel combo. Then just find any garage with reasonable labour rate to do the job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sounds good, I will have it picked up then, will let you all know more Next Thursday
  4. Many Thanks to Adrian and Torqen. Got my parts delivered super quick and the whole process was smooth and easy, will defo use again.
  5. I have my MOT on the 14th so will have a good look round her if she is still there. Yeh that sounds great mate, i very well maybe picking it up on that day, I'm Booked in for work on Thursday 13th, I'm unsure weather I should drive the Zed over to him, i asked Alan for flat bed pick up as i don't to do any more possible harm, he quoted £66 for local recovery, is this reasonable?
  6. Thanks Alex! is there a special way to add the Molyslip to the oil? use the whole tube?
  7. yes iv'e heard this from others too, based on all the forum threads iv'e read, going with Redline seems to be a risk (mixed opinions), where as the OEM with or without Molyslip a much safer route. Heard many greats things about the 'With Molyslip' option.
  8. Hi Everyone, There seems to be a lot of debate around gear oil on the 350z, The Big Fluid list post recommends the RedLine stuff However after some research on this forum and the American forums, Z owners have mix reviews on this. Many people say sticking with the OEM to be best option. I rang Jez at Horsham and he sells OEM pack with MolySlip Additive (which some people report to be the best) So i ask, What gear oil have you guys used / currently using, and where do you stand on the matter? Best Regards, DarmoZ
  9. Hi can someone report their experience with the Red Line MT gear oil. Iv'e heard many mixed reviews, and many people saying sticking with the OEM oil to be best option.
  10. I checked under the car the Morning after and again this morning plus checking dipstick level, no more Oil has leaked out to driveway from what you see in the video, so must only be a problem when car is running, Dipstick is showing just past the H mark. I haven't even turned her on since that video, next time i driver her will be next week when i drop her off to Alan at AC.
  11. Nice one mate. Plenty pre owned in stock with good rubber seals. Just drop me a PM with the number that is on the metal part of the dip stick. Alex. Great! Sending over a PM now Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi thanks the info, yes the dipstick showed very low level of oil (hardly any on cold) so I put 1 litre in there. The smoke was more white and steam like coming from under the bonnet, nothing coming from exhaust and certainly not blue. Coolant levels have all remained the same and operating temp on the gauge was all normal. Oil filler cap was on pretty tight already, and although dip stick was not flush jn it wasn't leaking our of here or the filler cap area as no visible oil to be seen in these areas. Hopefully it's not the headgasket, I understand labor cost on that is a big one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Where can I buy a oil dipstick in the UK, the rubber end is gone on mine so it won't fully seal when all the way in. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good to know, I've heard a couple others here in Reading said they have used them, and they are great, reasonable prices too apparently (£54/hour labor rate) I will report back my experience.
  15. Thanks for the Advice everyone. FYI my last service stamp prior to the oil change in Feb this year (6k Miles ago) was in 2012. Therefore I'm thinking to book this into the garage (AC Mechanical, Reading) get this issue fixed and also give it a proper full service, changing all the fluids and other parts at the same time. Below you can see my shopping basket of Service items, I will also provide them with the SS brake lines and Slave cylinder as these need doing too. After this my car should be trouble free for a long time. Anything im missing here? Thank You, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for the video this helps, could the issue be that I topped up with 0w-30 I notice he is using 10 -30 in this video, I may just take the car th mechanic and ask him to inspect / perform oil change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Where is the oil filter and sump plug located? I will check these ASAP. Not sure if I have an oil cooler or not how can I check? No Mods other than KN air filter which previous owner installed, rest is all Stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I will tighten the oil filler cap. The rubber bit on the end of the dipstick has slit so it won't pop in and cause the seal properly, could a loosely inserted dip stick really be the issue though? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So I topped up with some castrol edge 0w-30 yesterday as it was recorded from castrol oil selector on their website, (no idea what was in before as I just bought it) was driving fine then today after some spirited driving I got home parked up and noticed white smoke coming from under the hood and wheel arch front passenger side. I looked under car and can see oil leaking. This has never happend before, I included a video for your guys. Any help appreciated. Many of the lower parts of the car is covered in oil as you can see. https://vimeo.com/135295881 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Checking oil

    Stick with cold reading.
  21. I found going thinner to be better, I just topped with Castrol Edge TSF 0w-30 oil. Noticeable performance improvement. In fact Audi have now changed there stance on oil, recommending 0w-30 for year round use to its customers. 0w-30 is all the rage in NASCAR now aswell. Had no problems at all since putting this oil in my 350z. Edge is an innovative oil, the Extra strength of the oil more than makes up for the thinner viscosity, at operating temp it will be same as 5w-30 or 10w-30 but at cold start up (UK most of the time) it will flow better giving less friction and better protection, and since 75% of engine wear is at start up, this is important. NOTE* EDGE is the only Castrol brand that is ACTUALLY fully synthetic, beware, although Magnatec and other mid-range oils say fully synth, they actually are not, its just that UK regulations means they can state this. The Magnatec in Germany for exmaple is not allowed to be labelled fully synth, Edge however is allowed to be labelled fully synth all across Europe, including Germany.
  22. Thinking ahead as this year will be my first winter with the Zed. I'm from Reading and we don't get that much snow here, so hopefully will be able to use it all year round. I do have an old 1.6 Ford focus as my other car, So I'll just use that if any days seem un-drivable for the Zed. Which bring me to my point... You can pick up an old CAT D Nissan Micra or similar 2nd hand for like £400. Either buy a cheap second hand FWD car (plenty out there) or Invest in some good quality Winter tyres. I picked up my 2004 focus, CAT D at 150k miles for £900, had it for 2.5 years now and still going, passed MOT every time, only expense on it was new tyres, and 1 service. I personally like the 2 car option as the type of car I'm talking about are inexpensive to tax, insure (admiral multi-car), and run. Also really convenient to have for when your Zed is in MOT/Service/Repair/Performance Upgrade. And remember.... even if you have the skills to drive the Zed out there in Snow/Ice, there's plenty of drivers out there that couldn't even handle a Land Rover in the snow and it's these drivers that I worry about slamming into my Zed.
  23. Is the specific to JDM? Mine is defo not a JDM (HPI, Chassis, & VIN confirmed) yet today I went to perform this Mod and found I too have soldered in bulb?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
