Had a read at that, hell of a lot "could's" and "estimates" involved in the author's write up of the eu. A bit like Osbourne's predictions of if we voted leave !!. So we get a vote on things, big deal, it'll only be scuppered by the drunkerd who can't put a pair of shoes on. As long as that halfwit is a main player I'll never be convinced of the eu's integrity. Power grabs ??, none you say, have you watched the eu parliamentary debates lately ??, Sleekit positioning of jobs for their boys is pretty much their game. Integration and benefits to us all, really, have you researched how many British factorys have been moved to the eu, with eu grants, 000's of jobs gone abroad, businesses that have been here for decades lost because of eu grants. Fishing, steel, Ford van production all gone to other eu members, what industries have the eu paid directly to setup in Britain and create 000's of jobs here ??. What about Turkey getting membership, Oh that'll never happen, yeah just like the eu army was never going to happen. Turkey isn't even a European country, but they'll let them in. The only reason the eu want Britain is because we're a cash cow, nothing else.

One thing in all this brexit talk that NEVER GETS LOOKED AT is what is the eu going to look like in 10 years time ??. Misery, thats what. Eu army, more integration, more power to them, we'll be a vassel state alright, except we asked for it by staying in this abomination. Everybody bangs on about what the consequences will be in leaving, what about the consequences of staying, how much are they going to demand in annual payments and power grabs. Any remainers got a lucid answer for me ??

Check the engine earth cable, if that's corroded or loose it will kill the charge dead when you switch off car and leave it overnight etc.

I think it would have been the opposite tbh, the advert was about global networking, and how we're all interlinked with preferences, if anything it shows everything globally is better. But I'm yesser and a leaver !!.

+1 on what Dan says, nos and insurance is a nightmare, I looked at this route and was soon put off the idea, shame really coz I've got a supplier and a tuner near to hand.

Man ... this thread brings back some great memory's. Used to have a ZX10, 750RR, GPX edition Kawa, 20 + years ago now, but Jesus that thing was mental fast in its day. Had it for over 5 years and never let me down. Loved every ride on it.

Was probably going to suggest the Tesco car park as it's right on the main drag as you come into Perth from the M9 side and it's a decent size for everybody to get parked up in for the usual talk and de-brief prior to us heading off. Nothing cast in stone as yet though mate.

Hmmm, you might need to rethink that Ian as we will be doing the route anti clockwise this time around with the tour taking in the Cairngorms national park and the famous Spittal of Glen Shee, then heading to Inverness and north from there to Thurso, before heading west along the North coast. However it would be easy for you to meet us at Perth, which I think is going to be the main meeting point.

Where have you booked into mate ?

Hi mate, basically what happens is I put the route and hotels and booking contact details up, saying these are the ones I'm booking into and I try to get block booking discounts for us, not always possible but I try, it's then up to each individual member to phone and book, but if you want to be in the same hotel as the majority of members then I advise to book as soon as I post up the details, which will be in January, just after new years holidays. It's a Scottish bank holiday when we go and the hotels book up fast, as a few late to the party members found out last time and struggled to get booked, some even managed to be in different towns close by the official route and hotels, which kind of defeats the purpose of going with the group, so my advice is, if your serious about this trip is book as soon as I post up the details up. I post up the full route, towns, villages and touristy spots along with hotels and room rates once I've finalised it all. I tend to start my planning in earnest late November early December and have it all posted up in the new year or sooner if time allows, it's a lot of work pulling this all together, so keep checking in for updates.

Think it cost me over £700.00 for my missus and me last time, I'd be budgeting around that mark and more if your coming up from down south. It's not a cheap weekend and we cover lots of miles everyday, so you need to be ready for that expense and hard-core driving, but with lots of photo stops en route. Its an amazing roadtrip, I've lost count how many times I've done over the years and still never bored of it.

I will be starting to look at routes and hotel accommodation in the next few weeks lads, we've got 16 attendees so far so looking good for numbers. Does anybody have " must revisit" parts of the NC500 that they'd like incorporated from previous trip. Not promising I'll be able to fit everybody's wish list in but as last time there will be parts of the trip where we will / may split the group up for a specific revisit spot. Applecross will definately be incorporated as that's just a must do, so fire away lads with your suggestions and wish list ideas. Also going to look at different towns / villages and hotels from previous but may well end up having to go to previous hotels, just depends of route and roads I plan in. Also, for the guys in the NC500 WhatsApp group, this forum post will be the only place I will be posting up the route plan and spefics so please make sure you continue to dip in here for the latest updates and info.
