  1. If the hydrocarbons were high then you can imagine the carbon build up not only in the engine but everywhere through out the engine and exhaust. Tbh I don't put much faith in fuel additive cleaners and having had the terraclean services done on two of my vehicles, I can say hand on heart it's worth the money. My Zed is decatted also, and after the terraclean services I got it exhaust gas analysed by my mechanic the day after. Very nearly zero hydrocarbons was the result. Many people claim it's placebo services, but they've never had it done to their car, I have, both a petrol and diesel and the difference is night and day. Well worth the £100 bucks.
  2. Had thought about Nos, but decided against it (insurance issues) as technically my business owns it and it's on commercial fleet insurance. Don't think I'd have the guts or patience to do a engine swap in the Zed to a V8. There's a member on here doing it and it's been a very long drawn out affair and an endless money pit, but I take my hat to him for doing it, that reminds me I'll need to go check his thread to see how it's progressed.
  3. Yeah, I know I'll never get a V8 sound from a V6 (uneven firing pattern / no replacement for displacement ), and I don't want something that sounds fake, but I'd like similar features. What's your V8 btw? Nowt as sexy as a Stang mate...A Jeep Commander 5.7ltr V8, love it, big boxy bruiser with attitude and grunt.
  4. Could have at least used new bolts Keyser ............ ...... THAT is a seriously meticulously engineered and cared for underside that's bordering on car porn I like that but respect the effort that went into even more.
  5. Both my V8 and my V6 cars are basically straight through piped and they sound NOTHING like each other, two completely different engines, you'll never get V8 burble sound from a Zeds V6 and when you decat it's gona get a whole lot more high pitched and raspy WOT. Doing a drive by in my V8 you can feel the noise vibrations going through you, and even managed to get a bollocking from people in houses as it rattles their windows never had that effect from the Zed. As your being selective about the sound / noise you want then I would suggest going down the cat back custom route or Y pipe back with a Stillen Y pipe. A good custom exhaust maker will be able to get you as close to the sound you are looking for.
  6. I'll happily join up for a days driving depending on area and dates Wendy. I'll keep an eye in on this trip.

  8. Did you use Hodaka's install guide, I think it's the most recent one
  9. I'd be calling them Paul, I got my email through more or less straight away with 2 pdf files attached for tickets and t-shirt
  10. Got mines through as soon as I paid on line basically, you should have had it the same if you ordered on line
  11. This is a mod / system I've been pondering since I got my Zed, I got a custom stainless zorst made for my 5.7l V8 Jeep by a localish company to me and it sounds great. I've always fancied going true dual, downpipe back and more or less a straight through job, with the only "silencers" being the back boxes. Only thing stopping me at the mo is current exhaust is only 2.5 years old and still in excellent nick, plus Ive not long put a Stillen Y pipe on.
  12. Just as a rough guide to get me going with the planning Kyle, can you give me a very rough route, with must stop and see places based on doing approx 150 miles a day. My must see is the Giants Causeway, so going anti clockwise from Dublin up to there and head to ?
  13. June and July are not on the radar mate, way too expensive and right before people go away for family holidays
  14. Mixed weather is great......... it's all us Jocks really know, four seasons, one day, welcome to scotland lol.
  15. On the NC500 trip we were doing 8-10 hour days driving and taking in the sights, so I guess we would be able to see most of the great bits. I will pick your brain more on this as time goes in if you don't mind, thanks.
