  1. The Europe issue confuses me, right now the UK receives a 66% rebate of what we pay in because we receive no subsidiaries on farming etc unlike many other Euro countries, from what i can gather (but its probably just hearsay) the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland would just become the United Kingdom of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, so basically no change for the English, Welsh and Northern Irish as far as the UK and Europe are concerned, but where would this leave Scotland should they wish to join the EU if a yes vote is the most popular vote on the 18th? Would they too qualify for a rebate or would the oil revenue negate this on a GDP per capita income?
  2. Buff Daddy = £99, Brand new on Ebay, Kestral = £99, Brand new on Ebay and an interesting looking thing that i haven't seen before: Meguiars G3500 = £65, Brand new on Ebay
  3. Not really had Tortoise's as such, for a number of years i was a member of The British Herpetological Society i just picked up info about them from there really (monthly newsletters etc), my bag for years was snakes (Boa's and Pythons), several years ago i gave them away and went to live in Spain for five years, while i was there a Spanish postman gave me two newly hatched Tortoise's (they were smaller than the top half of my thumb) which i kept in the garden in an area made for them and pretty much left them to it other than making sure water was available. As i recall they hatched around this time of year, for the first winter i brought them inside and kept them in a vivarium under lamps, after that first winter they stayed outside year round and when the time came to hibernate they just sort of buried themselves into a mound of sand. I expected them to be really slow growing but by the time they were three years old they were 2/3's the size of my my hand. They will be a good ten years old now, when i left Spain the Postman took them to his sister's (thats where they originally came from), she and her hubby had a smallholding growing Oranges, Olives and Almonds and it was a magnet for Tortoises.
  4. Saw a piece about Destiny on Sky News a couple of days ago, its a half billion USD project, If i had a new gen console i would be on it like a rash, looks awesome and being from Bungie its going tick all boxes for me i too am a massive Halo fan, never played anything like it when the first one came out and have all the editions, to me the first one takes some beating... wonder if Destiny is the one that will outgun it.. keep us posted i may be tempted to upgrade...
  5. Thanks and yes the reflectors are way overpriced in my opinion , somewhere out there are some cheaper aftermarket ones but I'm struggling to find them, I think at one time Tarmac had them but I'm not a 100% sure.. Just a thought; would the reflectors actually be needed? So could they be left orange or maybe even painted? Its actually the lens that goes over the reflector that is the issue, as you know on a stock zed they are orange, once that orange lens is off they are identical to the clear lens reflectors inside, both having a clear/white reflector base. The LED's are housed between the lens and the reflector, meaning that with the orange reflector lens the white LED's for the DRL would be ineffective.

  7. By tapping into an "ignition on" source of which there are a few, obviously it will be the most easily accessible, I have a meeting this coming Friday with an auto electrician (who will also be doing the fitting instructions) as to what the best ignition on option will be,.
  8. Good sign he's getting his appetite back, looks like hes had a close call there, thats a dream setup for Tortoises i bet they love it in there, just out of curiosity do you bother hibernating them or put them under a lamp over winter?
  9. I've used these myself (got mine from Halfords) they are good but the downside is they will chew up your locking nut on the outside (so will whacking on an oversize socket) they have a right hand tapered thread inside, slip one over your locking nut and the thread will cut into it as you tighten it on (tighten anti-clockwise), once off i found i had to put the nut which was peeking out from the lazer socket into a vice to get it out so i could do the rest. You can use the nuts again but they do look well chewed up on the outside..
  10. htttp://zledslights.com/order-now/ Or you can wait around 4-5 weeks until mine go into production, i already have 1 guy to test (i need 1 more plus myself) Mine are purpose built on custom pcb's (my design) which right now are winging their way over from China (enough pcb's to build 30 pairs of LED reflectors).. You can have the choice of DRL with integrated turn signal's or an out and out DRL. Each turn signal with DRL will hold: 21 x Superflux Nichia Raijin 20lm white, (proven as the best choice for DRL). 21 X Phillips Lumileds Amber (again as above proven as the best choice for LED turn signal). DRL + Turn signal will turn on with ignition, as an example when indicating left then the left DRL will turn off (then back on of course when signaling is finished) and will dim to approx 30% when headlights are turned on. Each straight DRL will hold: 42 x Nichia Raijin 20lm. Straight DRL will turn on with ignition, and dim to 30% when headlights are on to comply with MOT ruling. A ball park figure on price will be around £160-£170 for a pair of DRL with turn signal and £140 - £150 as a straight DRL, i could do them cheaper by using lower quality LED's but reliability does come at a cost i'm afraid. Unfortunately the price above will not include the price of reflector as the white/clear ones are quite expensive (circa £80 per pair), if anyone knows of an outlet for quality aftermarket clear reflectors then im all ears Like i say i will be testing a set and i have one other 350z-uk guy who will be testing a set, i'm still looking for 1 more person to test, these of course will be sold at cost. Im not really going to go any further with pricing at this stage as obviously i need to register with the site as a member trader once things start properly. Design stage on mine is done and its now a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's of putting things together once everything is in hand, i can guarantee you they will be as equal in quality as the ones in the link at the beginning of this reply. Cheers

  13. Yup... i had a sideline going for a couple of years fixing broken xbox's and playstation's and never had any trouble with myhermes and on a good week i would be shipping 10 items at least with them, these days you can pay myhermes online and choose to either arrange a home collection or take the parcel to one of their collection agents (generally a local shop)
  14. Nice one Ed, i'm made up for you both, you've got yourselves a rocking colour too, it amazes me how mine can look almost black one day and a deep rich bluey / turqouise the next. Are you noticing much difference between the DE and HR?
  15. brings a whole new meaning to "boiled eggs"
  16. Poppycock.. ( feeling posh today ) ... The oil needs to be warm first throughout to reach it's correct viscosity, too cold and it's too thick
  17. That's how I understand it, all fuel in storage is the same, once it's in the tanker then the additives are put in. All supermarkets take the same fuel it's just once in the tanker different additives are mixed, incidentally at one time Morrisons fuel had so many additives it couldn't use the British standards kite mark, dunno if this was true or just another urban myth

  19. But what about the Ger's supporters? if Scotland goes solo will they still sing God save the queen? and what about the Union flag, does this mean that the blue bit will have to go?
  20. No it is not a straight forward swap out...
  21. It depends... What year zed is yours? There are differences
