  1. Clutch slave cylinder on HRs is located in the gearbox housing (unlike DE where it is bolted to the box externally). It is a gearbox down job and ~£300 in labour alone. Not quite £2500 but still a significant expense. good point, worth having it routinely changed (or even better upgraded) at the time a clutch replacement be necessary
  2. Spread a ray of happiness and give the Zed to your Mrs and take up cycling.... Get the GT-R R34.keep it a couple of years whilst watching the market prices of the R35, then upgrade when you find one at the right price.
  3. It is now there's some content in it..

  5. Definitely going down the quality route Rick. The criteria that i have set for these is that when they are not lit up then they should still look as they came with the car from the factory, no hacks and bodge-ups in the assembly of them, lets face it they are going inside a clear lens for all to see, if its not good enough for my car its not good enough for anyone else's either. Its important that the LED's used in these DRL's are high powered and low temperature with a long life. I can get low quality LED's at 10 a penny but they wont last and wont really be bright enough for DRL use without a reflective silver background holder and the Zed's reflectors wont allow that because of the internal width, bearing this in mind the ones i have chosen fit the bill precisely and are very bright at up to 25lm per LED, the downside is they are hard to get a hold of and a little expensive, but with a manufacturers proven lifetime of 15k hours its the only choice. Zed's DRL's look the dogs "doodahs" cosmetically and functionally, these wont be any different... watch this space..
  6. Just a little update to those who are interested, finally received the pcb's today (a week late) which has delayed things somewhat, but anyway here is a pic. board dimensions are 205mm in length, 16.5mm width and 0.4mm thick ( used a thin board to follow the radius of the reflector without cracking traces which can happen with thicker boards when following a radius). Hoping to get one soldered up on Saturday/Sunday, cant do any earlier due to real life issues (ie work ), then off to the auto electrician for fine tuning final "in car" wiring options.
  7. Its only my opinion.... but i don't think the TB issue is such a major concern with DE engines (prior 2007), doing a Google you will find that 99% (wild guess) of corrupt ECU issues causing high idle and surging after TB cleaning are 2007+ (HR engines), again only my opinion but hazarding a guess i would say this is because of the fact that the dual intake HR engines have two throttle bodies and these have to be in sync with each other. For zeds 2007+ the corrupt ECU is not a rare occurrence if the correct procedure for cleaning is not followed.
  8. Then of course there is the good old Candiru... http://facstaff.cbu....adedCandiru.htm

    Gear Knob

Could have had my Primera knob for free, forever coming off in my hand, but it went to meet its maker with the rest of the car around 5 months ago..
  12. Your pic shows a foot pound torque, Wasso instructions are in inch pounds, try this convertor http://www.unitconversion.org/energy/inch-pounds-to-foot-pounds-conversion.html
  13. Welcome... Wasso ( a member on here ) does the Plenum spacer i believe.. they get good write ups as i have seen by members who have them from him.
  14. If it happened right after cleaning the Throttle body then that would probably be the issue but from my experience it doesn't seem like the symptoms of a bad TB clean, so i'm going to say start with the "free" option first and check your pipework around the intakes for a vacuum leak, see that the tubes are in place and not loose, corroded or split anywhere.
  15. Can they shoot a red light too when carrying such "Secret Documents" ?
  16. I got done doing 48 in a 40 a couple of years ago, got a lovely photo of me, i had my sunglasses on too, i sometimes wonder if i could have said it was not me...
  17. I don't for one minute believe in the theory that these outrageous acts are staged, what i do think is that after several months kept captive and subject to god knows what kind of mental (and) or physical torture that you would become resigned to your fate. These IS animals have no respect for human life in any shape or form, there are pits all over the desert where the bodies of executed men, women and children lay buried, again summarily executed by IS. Those people too will have walked quietly to their fate. are these documented facts and footage fake too?.
  18. Best price I have seen for Rays, brilliant gesture to advertise via the forums so a fellow Zedder can benefit
  19. all my female teachers were 40-60 too, horn rimmed spec's and breath stinking of fag's and coffee!
  20. Yup.... looks like M&S have finally nailed it in the high street fashion stakes for this Autumn, nice to see some cool matching accessories too.
  21. I think Braveheart will be on tv the night before and all the 16/17 year olds who can vote will go ultra patriotic and vote "Yes" thereby giving a marginal victory
