    Tree sap

How do I get rid of tree sap that has been baked on ? Fortunately it is not on my Z but my daughters Alfa. The Alfa was mine for 16 years so still attached to it. Tried tar remover, bug remover, WD40 and white spirit. My fingers are rubbed to the bone, and I think I might have got a little high on the cocktail of liquids. Please help I am desperate.
  2. Best colour, looks good on a 370 as well.
  3. All the knobs and gadgets are the wrong way round, except the hand brake. Still can't find mine without a sneaky look down.
  4. I play golf in Hampshire, so feel qualified to say welcome.
  5. Welcome. I am in Farnham as well, 370Z midnight blue. You will probably only ever see me in your rear view mirror.
  6. Never had a 350, but love my 370 especially the looks. For what it is worth my 19 year old petrol head daughter thinks the 350 looks girlie.
  7. Nice 350 in black leaving West Wittering beach car park 04 plate I think. My daughter also said she saw a 370 parked up with a personalised plate beginning with a P. There was a mad rush to get out as plenty of thunder and lightening about, but still managed to get a few red bits from the earlier sun. Going through Chichester was followed by silver 350, 55 plate. Unfortunately I was driving my wife's Jazz today, so couldn't waive at anyone.

    Hill start

That's what I find. I am old and ugly enough to know how to do a hill start without help. This just seems to hold you back, and it sounds like you are riding the clutch. Unfortunately my drive is on sufficient a slope that it kicks in when I go to put the Z in the garage. Mind you there are a lot of things I love about the car, so I suppose I can put up with this niggle.

    I will try that.

Would you like mine. Please, pretty please.

    Hill start

My Z has an automatic brake which stays on for a couple of seconds on a hill start. I assume it is so I don't need to use the handbrake, though not sure I want to test it on a severe hill. Am I supposed to wait until it releases before pulling away, and look like I have fallen asleep at the wheel ? For some reason the Alfa I have had for the last 16 years didn't have this extra. I did try and search this, but presume do one has ever been daft enough to ask ?
  12. Damon Hill lives in the same village as me. His sister Sam works with my wife, and is lovely and helps with the Help For Heroes golf day I organize.
  13. Loved my 156 which I had for nearly 16 years. My daughter has it now and she seems to love it just as much. I did look at buying a 159, but couldn't find one I liked, and then some how ended up with a 370Z. Still keeping an eye out for the new Giulia, as I think I have must have some Italian blood in me.
  14. Looks like it has less visibility out of the side windows than the 370. I will check it out tomorrow to see what all the fuss is about. Alarm clock set for 6.00, but still not sure I will miss the Goodwood traffic tomorrow. Looks like it will be wet as well.
  15. Running costs not high? Tyres, fuel, 9k service intervals, brakes? And that insurance sounds extremely cheap compared to the norm. Running costs on mine have been pretty low. Filled it up twice in three months. Insurance just over £200. An advantage of buying new is no nasty unexpected running costs for a year or two. I do play golf though which cost me a lot more than running the Z.
  16. Another one here. My daughter has just inherited my 156 which I have had from new in 1998. Welcome
  17. Used to live in Cove and work in Farnborough, for the old Midland Bank. Live in Farnham now. Welcome along.

    My First Mod

I got one a few months back, and seeing as I have paid for it will be keeping it in the car.
  19. Is it just London you get a proper street view, or are other cities, big towns included ? Certainly never seen it on mine, but all I can do is put a post code in, and get told where to go.
  20. I gave mine it's first proper clean today, rather than just a quick wash. Full polish and wax. Hot work as most of it was done in the garage, and it is not a big garage. Z has got to look good for the Festival of Speed on Friday. I notice on my parking ticket is says Hypercars, Supercars, and GT's, so not there under false pretences. I just need to be able to borrow HID's car until Friday, as I am not getting it dirty. I will get my daughter to take some photo's from the paddock.
  21. Seem a friendly lot on here, but I hear some are quite frightening in the flesh.
