  1. Hmm. Does anyone know what the standard bolts can give in terms of max alignment? These eibach bolts give an alignment of +- 3 degrees. So if the stock allow 2 degrees, these are an extra 1 degrees so may be enough to bring back into spec.
  2. Hey I've been camping once or twice before with cadets when I was a kid. I want to take the mrs camping this summer in Scotland since she hasn't done it before. Does anyone know where I can hire camping gear at a decent price? I'm based in Glasgow. I'm looking for a tent, bag, stove and maybe sleeping bags. Or should I buy this stuff? Not sure I will go again. More of a one off I think. Cheers
  3. Thanks for the replies. It's starting to make sense! I'm gonna be lowering on eibach lowering springs (eibach pro kit) http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_19&products_id=59 This is 25mm front and 20mm rear. I'm interested to hear from people who have this setup. I'm not sure how much is 'lowered a lot' Thanks
  4. Yiykes. Okay. I hear people say they can't get the camber back into spec but toe seems okay. So I assume I may only need the camber kit then since there should be plenty of adjustment on the toe? Also what about the front? Will that be off and will I need a kit for front and back? This product seem to adjust camber with just bolts and also toe. +- 3 degrees so why would anyone get the arm if the bolts can do the same/ provide more adjustment? http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=NISSAN&model=370Z&year=2009%2B&level1=SUSPENSION+%26+STABILITY&level2=CAMBER+CORRECTION+KITS&level3=&id_product=5996
  5. Hey Apologies for not posting in the suspension forum but I thought in the general discussion it will get more exposure. So a lot of people have lowered and spaced their cars (mostly using eibach springs and spacers) Now I'm interested to know how many of you have had to get camber kits or did people not bother getting their camber within spec? I'm planning on getting the car lowered and spacer in 25mm spacers. I want to get the camber within spec. Has anyone lowered their car and managed to get the camber within spec? Also I noticed there are many kits available such as just the bolts or what looks like an arm. What ones have people installed? If I can just get the bolts and get back within spec then great. Many thanks and pictures of the geometry will be much appreciated. Thanks
  6. CS-I can't see the 370 kits on your website?
  7. Yeah. Camber kits seem to vary a lot in price! Not sure if I should get a cheaper brand on than eibach. I may have to make another thread!
  8. Hmm sounds good! How much is a remap btw? May be something I consider after I've done my exhaust. Also can it be done remotely? How long does it take? Thanks
  9. I know. Lol I'm just going around reviving old threads! Most have not been concluded!
  10. Any update on this? Did you get your camber back into limits? I'm looking to get eibach springs and 25mm spacers since I've heard 20mm don't quite fit with the GT wheels? My insurance doesn't allow any changes to camber so I want to be able to have it at stock again. Also is if just lowering that throws the camber off or do spacers do it too?
  11. I would rather pay the £21 extra and get from a local place here. They have the springs for £200.
  12. Found macklins to not be very helpful at all. Gutted you ain't got it back it. I'm sure a non high performance centre could have installed it faster. Remember they said it's just a 2.5 hour job but the reason they take so long is for nissan to agree to the change out. If they have had the gearbox in for 10 days it should have been done now! I would write the letter and state your losses due to them
  13. Took the car into infinity Glasgow and they said discs need replaced. Gonna book in next week for disks and pads then hopefully car will be running sweet
  14. Mtec have a good price for disks and mintex pads for £182 all in. Pretty good price. Anyone used them?
  15. Hey Yup it's a 370z I have but we get a preferential rate from infinity in Glasgow. I've seen stop tech but the disks are £300 and I've seen some crazy prices for ferrodo pads. Aftermarket seems to be more expensive I'm finding. Also I think I may prefer solid disks since I can't find any place that will skim drilled or grooved disks. For future incase I need to get them skimmed.
  16. Hey Looking for new pads and discs. What do people recommend? Was thinking of OEM but wondering if aftermarket is any better or cheaper? Also where can I get OEM discs and pads from? Surely there are cheaper places than nissan? Infinity have quoted me £300 for eon pads and disks. Thanks
  17. Apcarter- you have any luck with this? Did you manage to get it changed?
  18. Cool. I am interested but want to see if my insurance will allow it and also the difference it makes to a stock exhaust. If you have any videos please send them my way otherwise I'll have to wait for a local meet and hope someone has berks with a stock exhaust. Thanks
  19. Ditto. Group buy for 370z option here? I can't see any videos online of these with stock exhaust.
  20. Protection is that the receipt says car is in full mechanical good condition and is A1 condition. Hope that would help but the seller seems like a nice man and has integrity so hopefully we can reason. Marcus I'll check your details and pm you
  21. Where is Marcus based? Is Marcus top hooker? It was a private sale kind of but paid by credit card since the seller has a mot garage. I've got protection with my credit card company (thank god! I'm just lucky I paid by credit card). I would be happy if I knew what was wrong with the car. I don't want to keep booking it in and it doesn't resolve the issue don't have cash extra just now
  22. Nissan want 70 per hour plus vat and infinity 50 per hour to diagnose. Not sure how long they will take I feel annoyed at myself. Wish I could just return the car now. Maybe I'm being silly though
  23. I'm well gutted tbh. Was happy about getting a new car and this has just totally spoilt my day The cars done 27,000 miles and new pads were put on 1500 miles ago the seller said. Of course the seller is denying knowing anything about this which I find hard to believe. If it's disks then I can replace them. If it's hub that's a lot more expensive!
