Sorry, but you are NOT allowed to lose interest in this.... you have got us all excited, so you most definitely need to finish it!! Even if its with a standard engine!

Mr Norris with a novice sticker? He seems to have quite a few offs at Castle Ouch.......... NSX.........

I think its a proper scary circuit, still havent mastered avon rise/quarry and although tower corner is straight forward, you are carrying a lot of speed and the crash barriers straight ahead look very very close (actually they are, lol) , so always a little cautious there as cant quite disengage the brain enough to brake at the last minute. Think Bruno Senna put a std GTR round there in 1.14.5 Hahaaa, that is exactly what I was saying the speed and lack of run-off in places is very scary! Folly flat out is nerve racking as well, I was in 4th gear in the GTR which is around 115-120mph (I think, didnt spend much time looking down) and the wall seems to approach very quickly Exiting Quarry is great fun, lots of tarmac so a real chance to see what the GTR can do and both the missus and I both loved Tower.... although on the first lap I did, I got onto the power out of Tower and completely missed the braking for the chicance so ended up going straight and threw the "other" chicance Well one of the guys I was with has done a 1.17 in his old R33 (heavily modded, similar to the R34 I went out in, but more), so impressive, will go see if I can find a video of that
-
Another r35 was 96 and a r34 was 95, so sure I am around that. They have done more work (2 weeks agon), new tarmac over about 70% of the track which made it VERY slippery, but was great fun getting the 4 wheels sliding on the GTR The guys I went with are regulars there and they were telling me about the "no chicane" days and a Simon Norris crash - OUCH! Avon Rise is a bit of a b*****d!! The GTR is obviously very heavy and I was hitting 130-135 (other GTRs were faster at around 140-145 they know the track rather well) at the point of braking and the car goes so light. Great fun trying to master that didnt come close, but still!

What an awesome track Castle Combe is!!!! Absolutely love it!!! Arrived at the noise testing station and the MX5 rear silencer had developed a terrible rattle, which sounded like something had come lose. So gave up with the MX5 and took the GTR to be noise tested...... revved up to 4500 and the guy said all good, ddidnt bother asking what the reading was, just ran with my "passed" sticker. Was very nervous to start with, its a very fast and unforgiving track, but the GTR was immense!! Ran out of talent a few times and the GTR saved me had a Caterham 7 run out talent infront of me and he ended up in the grass. Confidence grew threw out the day and had an awesome time. Missus went out driving the GTR as well and also nervous at first, had a bad 2nd session (was very busy) and then an awesome 3rd session (less traffic)!!! At Thruxton on Friday.... but will be in the MX5, GTR wont pass noise limits.

Update, well 240 is progressing well, the blue escort has been sold and the white has started to progress been waiting for stock of parts, but the interior has been stripped and the exterior is progressing nicely This is what it looks like now:- And then finally, this is what I am aiming for once finished.......... albeit without the bubble arches - I am still not sure whether I actually like them:-

Looks fun!! -
Thruxton Is such a great track, did a couple of bike track days there. Such a shame its so utterly restrictive on noise levels, 88db. It is, would love to run the GTR, but Im probably around 95db, maybe a little more

Hopefully

I am a tax specialist, do you want some advice? If youre living overseas and working overseas then HMRC arent interested in you at all, if you are living in UK and working in a country where HMRC have a dual tax agreement you just have to prove that youve paid elsewhere and they will leave you alone again. Switzerland is a bit different as its non EU and has some very strange rules, but if BM is living permanently in Germany then he has to pay into the German system, its actually one of the only EU countries along with Austria where by rights you should start paying local taxes immediately, the 183 day rule doesnt apply. I have enough tax consultants, thank you I meant a tax specialist that understands his full position, IE assets, family, etc. Nothing has been mentioned about personal interests such as houses, return for family visits, etc. The 183 day rule is a guide and the HMRC can choose to ignore it if they believe there is substantial reason - IE family interest and assets are still maintained here. It has to be a very clear cut-off. Taken from https://www.gov.uk/t...ad-return-to-uk -

Sorry, I dont, I have tax consultants. No you dont, they are only bothered if you are working in UK. You will need to register with ze Germans but your new employer will sort that out for you Have you got your security pass yet, if not prepare for much fun Well since I tried this with a move to Switzerland and HMRC then decided to tax my Swiss earnings which are considerably lower in tax and most deduction do not match the Swiss ones so cannot be taken into account. I suggest you speak to a tax specialist! If you still have some sort of "base" in the UK they will chase you for taxes. -
Figured we wouldnt do it again, so may as well

I would prefer Wales to lose with Sexton in the team, if Wales play badly! They need to be able to read the game (Sexton is brilliant at controlling the game - like the last Irish game you mentioned) and adapt for the RWC in a few months - have a few tickets to that
-
Games over the weekend werent too bad Wales V France - well glad Wales got there set stuff sorted, scrum, lineout and restarts looked a lot better. The gameplay and tactics are now over done, they need some sort of spark. They have completely lost the flare that rugby is supposed to have and just rely on size and POWER..... which is obviously not working very well. Ireland V England - well so much for England having the RWC in the bag Must admit, I hate the way Joubert calls games, they always seem very biased and Ireland seemed to win all the 50/50 calls. Scotland V Italy - WELL DONE ITALY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not wrong.... The midget was in front right? With me driving (5'10), its not fun having 2 people in the back..... 30 minutes driving is about the limit. If its only 1 person in the back with their feet up, maybe a different story. Didnt you hit your on the rear window........ on pretty much every bump and any time the accelerator was breathed on? In fact, I am very tempted to remove the rear seats, put in a rear half cage, sound deaden and carpet over the rear of mine

raptors do fit on uk roads there a few out in the fens ive seen its no wider than a 7.5 tone lorry and they get everywhere so a 5 seater that is the size of a 7.5 ton lorry, awesome!!! GTR is hardly a small car for 4 seats. Yeah and the GTR struggles to find a parking bay it can fit in.... where exactly would Raptors park? Over 2 bays with it being so wide or even 4 because they are so long? Out in the sticks, maybe, just dont see it working near London.
