  1. I know right. Still a great looking saloon car imo whatever badge it's sporting though. Subaru ran 1 car and it ran perfectly and won the class and finished 18th overall...... I have a soft spot for Imprezas
  2. Style like only Nissan and Nismo can do
  3. Awesome event.... already booked onto the one next year Oops.......... but just a little
  4. Nismo Race Camp Secret viewing point In the Nissan pits The race Race cars The GT1 Godzilla The trip back
  5. Pics from the Premier-Inn the night before the departure, ran into the Supra Owners Club on a roadtrip (DragonBall) around 50 cars!!! GTR stuff Some racing Soe race cars
  6. Cannot believe how reliably it went round and just continued....
  7. definitely was...... oh yes, it will be finished by then! My first 24h race and although sleeping next to the track was noisy, it was worth it! Obviously wanted to do LeMans, but the costs are just a little silly and the missus wont tent.
  8. Just back from Nurburgring 24H over the weekend, with the GTROC and Nissan/NISMO hospitality. Had an awesome time and the surprise was that we got to drive around the ring as part of the parade lap. Intro to the race ........... probably shouldnt mention that it was in a Leaf We were led out by the Nissan GTR GT1 car that is privately owned, awesome car and what a noise!!!! Toyota had a 2000GT, dealer maintained, stunning car!! Will post up a picture later, but got chatting to the dealer principle that was driving the car and eventually one of the Nissan guys came over and we got chatting and eventually got onto the 240z subject. So long story short....... if the car is ready for N24H next year, its guaranteed a spot on the parade lap Back to N24H news, the GTR (GT academy driven) finished 9th overall and the 2nd GTR failed out on track with only 49 minutes to go and was right behind the other GTR. They werent quite as quick as the other cars, but they were a lot more efficient, managed a few extra laps to every stop. Was also VERY impressed with the new Subaru Impreza STi which finished 18th overall and top of its class by 10 laps! And then there was this, also a class winner and a very respectable 52nd overall
  9. Looking for the blade (with the mounts) can be missing the arms as it will be a bit of a project. Ideally looking for 1750mm or wider.
  10. The first option (which I'm having done in a few weeks) is about £500 so I'll see how that gets on in July and if it needs something more he has another option to add on top of that for another £500. So well below the £2000+ for the Forge (or similar). Interesting, let me know how it goes...
  11. Off your list, the Aston for me.... so nearly bought one instead of the GTR. GTR definitely..... R34 definitely... Darrens 240z (once finished) most definitely... what about something older, something classic, that wont depreciate like a stone?
  12. The retrim and larger paddles are a great combo aimed at track use, so will see how they fair in the next few weeks. Sounds interesting.... all the custom options I saw never did much and most added up to 1800, so the Forge Cooler was an easy option. Interested to see how the AC one goes, sounds very different. Done for exactly those reason, just as you get into things, temps jump up and it takes ages to come back down
  13. Collected the car at the weekend and really happy with what has been. Forge gearbox cooler was fitted, so will see how that holds up Forgot to take the engine bay photo, minor differences - engine cover removed and manifold has been powder coated black Steering wheel retrim Larger shift paddles Dipping to match the dash
  14. I believe there was a red R35 GTR in the episode...... the owner is on the GTR forum and said it was rather cool meeting the presenters and letting them out in his car at Bruntingthorpe Proper petrolheads!!!
  15. Going by last years trip with 15 GTRs, Im not so sure
  16. Get yourself over for it 2nd July On the GTROC tour
  17. Oh yes, before I forget, the one big PRO to servicing every 6 months is getting the alignment checked (especially considering the state of the roads) which saves tyres
  18. Heard good about AC SpeedTech - in post above.... didnt know where they were though MPSS are a good all round all weather weather tyre, but not my preference on track Cup2s will more than likely be next on my car, doubt I could live with the whine of the R888s... had them on my impreza and it was too much for road trips, etc Let me know how Anglesey goes, I want to do it as well.... love this!
  19. Not been to Oulton, but have been to Silverstone, Castle Combe (new tarmac - so no more rumble strips) and Thruxton and the GTR was pretty good at all of them The MPSS tyres did show their weakness at Thruxton, the "rocknrolling" on the flat out bends, but still good fun!
