  1. It's going to be my first winter with my Zed but I'm not particularly worried. It did snow last year a lot where I live in South Wales and was very deep in places. So much so that my fwd Civic type R got trapped in my local village as it couldn't get up the hills to my house and the Uni I work at closed for two days. If I think it's too dangerous I'll just leave the car at home and walk the five miles to work & back. Better that then a damaged car.
  2. Welcome aboard Lewis. Car looks great but all Zeds do imo.
  3. Welcome aboard. Good luck with your search and hope you get the motor you want.
  4. Look's much better in the pictures when wet as you get an idea that the car's actually moving. Very cool.
  5. If they are the Richbrook anti theft valve caps MattWorth then you can get a new set from eBay for around £13 including P&P in most colours. I got some for my old man after he got fed up with the thieving scum nicking them from his BMW. Now no more problems. The key is universal so should fits yours providing they are the Richbrook made caps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RICHBROOK-SPINNING-ANTI-THEFT-TYRE-WHEEL-VALVE-DUST-CAPS-FORD-CARS-/200751875522?pt=UK_Cars_parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_trims_Valve_Caps_ET&hash=item2ebdbe85c2 Goodluck and hope that helps.
  6. Just on the "rapid repeating knocking noise from the rear on the passenger side" have you checked your tyre all the way around inside the tread pattern? could be you've picked up a nail/screw or if your lucky just a large stone wedged in the tread pattern. Hope so. Never nice with a new car when things go wrong.
  7. Welcome aboard. I've not had my Zed more than a week or so but already love it more than any previous car I've ever owned, ...and I've had a few goodones (VR6, WRX Scooby, Type R etc). Enjoy the new motor and look forward to some pics.
  8. I've read of a few other little problems to look out for are; rear boot release not working on single press, rear boot gas struts not supporting boot weight (would need new struts so simple fix), petrol release button not working properly and Bose original head unit skipping when playing CD's as Pnthrblkzs touched on. Goodluck with your search Luke 153.
  9. Very nice pictures SuperStu and glad the track day went well for you. Always a worry first time on track and tbh even after doing a few of them.
  10. Only 960 meters long so as you said not much time to really stretch her legs! That is a short course. I prefer trackday's as at least you can get a good few laps and get into the rhythm more but still looks like a lot of fun.
  11. Nice little video andy james. Pity it wasn't a longer run though as it seemed a bit of a short course to me and ended just as you where getting in to it from the looks of it. How longs the course?
  12. Haven't thought about it like that but I know what you mean. I like the way it feels too.
  13. Definitely look's like a decent price to me for the year/mileage etc. I like the colour too.
  14. Keep looking Paul they are out there but I'd up your budget a bit if you can otherwise you may just end up with a dog that need's more money spending on it afterwards anyway. Before I bought mine I saw a mint black 53 plate GT spec with 68K on the clock & service history for £6995 but somebody else had put a deposit on it. Luckily for me I found a better one imo at the same garage.
  15. Thanks for that. Now there's even more stuff I need to buy. Lol. Seriously though very impressed with the two videos I've just watched. Thanks again for the help as I would't want to ruin my lovely Zed's gun metal colour paint work.
  16. I got given a Halfords 150hp pressure washer for my birthday some 7-8 years ago and it's still going strong (used once a week without fail). The crappy plastic wheels have fallen off & it weighs a ton but it's still going strong. Doubt it cost the earth either.
  17. Thanks for the input downhuman & all. Think I need to buy some more kit.
  18. If you do find rust from a stone chip or whatever I'd recommend treating it with "Krust" then painting over it with a touch up pen to try and stop it getting worse. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_191362_langId_-1_categoryId_165594
  19. Welcome Paul. I would of thought from a trader anywhere between £5000 and £7500+ depending on condition/mileage/service history etc.
  20. That's the dream. I had hoped for that with a 96' JDM Impreza WRX that I used to own but after spending tens of thousands on it and having the engine destroy it's self twice (not to mention diffs/gearboxes etc) I'd had enough and bought a more reliable Honda Type R instead. Unfortunately though I wasn't very inspired to do much to the Honda and just enjoyed it as it was pretty much for three very reliable years. Now I have my first Zed I'm in love again and really want to make it how I want it.
  21. Lovely sound from that Z in the Canyon. Great video.
  22. Welcome Rich. I just sold my Civic and bought a Zed too. Best decision I ever made. What Civic do you have? I had an EP3 30th Anniversary Edition Type R and let me tell you the 350 is so much better imo.
  23. ^^ Sounds good Jehuty. Do love a good exhaust video. What sort of price was the exhaust if you don't mind answering? It's definitely a mod I'm going to do within a year or so as my standard exhaust is looking rather rusty in places.
