For doing mine I used a Dremel with a soft nylon bristle brush attachment. This got most of the original "soft touch" paint off without damaging the 8 small dimples on the button. I was just going to paint it then after keying the surface up with a scotch pad but I actually found that mine had a small dent under the soft touch paint so had to do a little more work to make the surface perfect. I used 600 grit wet & dry paper to rub that small dent out followed by 800 grit and then 1000 grit. This removed the 8 small dimples on my button but I wasn't bothered about keeping them. I then cleaned with soapy water, dried and began spraying. 1-2 light coats then 1 heavier wet coat.

Actually just did mine earlier. I just used Halfords gloss black spray paint as I had an old spray can knocking about in the garage. Only time will tell how long it will last but looks much better than it did.

Thanks. I did wonder how it would go as it was my first MOT with the Berks/Invidia combo but turns out there was nothing to worry about. Looking at the emissions test it wasn't even close to failing.

No I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that because that sounds almost like you're giving them some praise. It's got nothing to do with having big balls it's more to do with them being a selfish pair of f**kers who really don't care if they cause an accident and wipe out some poor family coming the other way. It wasn't good driving from either of them but more so the Porsche driver who was a bl**dy idiot. I mean if you watch it you can clearly see other drivers having to take avoiding action the entire way along the single lane carriageway as that pr**k over took. Not having ago at you ~ just saying if I'd have seen that on a public road as I was driving along with my Mrs I wouldn't have said; "wow they must have some big balls doing that", .....it would be more along the lines of; "look at that friggin' idiot almost causing a crash, call the Police honey whilst I get his reg".

Guess he didn't want to damage his Rays alloys on the curb. The only bad thing is I can see it has a tow bar attachment! I was going to put one of the forum flyers on his Zed but they where at home which was a good 2 miles away so couldn't be bothered walking back to get one.

Very nice Zed you have JZA70. Keep it up. My list would be; black door handles, stubby aerial, lowering springs and as Daryl mentioned clear rear lenses. That way you could use the 370 fog light position which would look very cool imo.

You can usually find second hand Rays alloys if you wanted them so don't let that bother you. Just sold my Rays for £300 odd to another member on here so they do come up occasionally at bargain prices too. Good excuse for upgrade alloys though if you're not fussed on the ones on the car that you're buying.
