  2. Ok, scuffed my splitter on Saturday as some of you will know. No time to get it wrapped before the Super Car Siege on Sunday so set about repairing it today, had already filled the and sanded the offending scratches so rubbed down the original paint and started masking:- Masked and primed Several top coats later Some Lacquer and voila That'll do for a rough old job like this. PM to Zippy ref some wrapping business is in order after the weekend
  3. All done today mate, nothing some rattle cans and a little bit of patience can't cure. Forgot about Zippy, I'll give him a shout after the weekend and he can cove up my temp paint job On a further note, as Valet Magic have been metioned here, i did a a bit of research today whilst waiting for paint to dry and found these issues, there are obvioulsy always 2 sides to every story but thought it right that you guys should know in case anyone is thinking about using them. They might well be fine now but just in case:- http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=487447

  5. Well, I spoke to Robbie at Valet Magic and unlike some companies kept his promise to ring me back (1820) and unfortunately he only had brushed aluminium available given the short time window I have so had to decline. On the basis of his willingness to help I would certainly speak to him again in future. The car is in the garage masked, primed and one coat of top coat, fingers crossed.
  6. Only 1.5 m of these are Nissans, if you have an airbag made by Takata then you could be affected. Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear
  7. As there seem to be a number of us who have had great service from Sly, and now Aston at Kaizer Motors, in addition I had another brilliant visit yesterday and today I thought it was about time to start a proper appreciation thread. This was the 3rd or 4th time I have taken the old girl to Sly for attention. I dropped her off yesterday and colllected her today for MOT, P2 service, 4 wheel alignment and suspension check after the coilies and drop links were fitted by the Zed Shed at the weekend. All was good, and all at a very competitive price. On top of that Sly dropped me off at the station yesterday and was waitng in the car park for me today when I went back to get Laverne. It's things like this that customers remember. Unfortunately for me my Brembos weren't quite ready, they were supposed to be changed during this visit but no dramas or crisis from Sly. He's given me a great quote for supplying and installing adjsutable Eibach rear camber arms and I'll be going back to have them fitted when the Brembos are finsished. I really can't recommend Kaizer Motors highly enough, he has a new Techinician there now as well, and Aston, like Sly is a Nissan Master Technician. I live in Surrey so a 120 or so mile round trip but I won't take the old girl anywhere else.
  8. I wish I hadn't looked a their web pages, the blue on the Rangey is http://www.valetmagic.com/vinylwrapping.htm
  9. I thank you end of debate!! Thought a link was easier than trying to explain Loads of good info there, just spoken to Robbie at Valet Magic, he maybe able to sort it on Friday.
  10. Ok, under a bit of pressure, scraped my splitter at the weekend and need to get ti sorted by Sunday for Super Car Siege. I've already checked with Boss Dog and Blue Lizard andthey are fully booked until next week so I fired some emails off and had a reply today from Surrey Vinyl Wraps based in Chessington, they have some reviews knocking around that aren't brilliant and I'm a bit dubious. I had made my mind up until they rang me a couple of hours ago to mask up the front of the car and respray it as temp fix tomorrow. Wrapping it is an easier less time consuming exercise though. Anyone had dealings with them or know anybody who has? Thanks
  11. Just send them a link to this thread, that's all they'll need! Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear
