It was a poor design that Nissan half admitted was an issue on the 350Z HR, why they continued with it on the 370Z I don't know but some have been changed under warranty on both cars. Uprated aftermarket ones are available but are around £350

Sounds like the concentric slave cylinder, carried over from the 350Z HR which is a common failure point

As you have found out just the bush weeping, can continue to do that for a good while without causing issue. Nissan won't sell you the bush but Whiteline do a replacement kit which we stock

I know its no use now but if someone admits it at the scene always try and get proof, get them to sign something etc as they have no get out then. A lot of people admit it at the time then go away and told by someone else not to admit anything including their own insurance company (I have had first hand experience of that) Good luck with it anyway I hope you get it sorted

I'm no expert in insurance and do agree with Steve they try and find anyway not to pay but if the other party has admitted liability you do not need to involve your insurance company. In the past when I have had people hit my car and they have admitted liability my car has gone straight to a bodyshop of my choosing which is your right and have contacted the other parties insurance to tell them that's who will be repairing it and for them to arrange a hire car through their own approved hire company and to have it delivered to me. These are all your rights by law if someone hits you and admits liability, insurance companies often try to tell you different you just have to know your rights.

Its a requirement to have the speedo reading in MPH but its not checked at MOT so is unlikely to cause you any problems.

The HR concentric type runs inside the box as opposed to the conventional type cylinder fitted to the side of the DE box. The concentric type was supposed to be an upgrade but they seem just as bad for failure.

There is no cable its a hydraulic system If its the original slave at that mileage I would bet its starting to fail especially with what you describe. The above repair kit it what you need

Utter rubbish but as others have said a good way to get you to accept less for your trade in. I'd say avoid as you don't know what other lies they will tell you about the car you are looking to buy.
