  1. I have also noticed this in mine. First winter in my zed, coming from a 200sx which was actually ok in icy conditions because there wasn't much torque under about 3000rpm but in the zed it will spin up in slippy conditions from just above idle. Obviously being gentle on the throttle would help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Afternoon everyone, have just noticed while washing the zed that their is rust on the surface (both sides) where the rear shock top mounts are. It's an 08 hr. Is this usual? No other rust anywhere on the car. Cheers Ross Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm in the same situation mate! Want more sound out of my hr. I had it mapped by abbey on standard intakes. Like everyone says I don't think you gain much from intakes on the hr. I will be going for exhaust next just don't no what one I want! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is making me want to get to bedford in mine. My previous car (s14a track prepped) was good fun at Bedford. Don't no if I want to put my baby on the track.....getting the itch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Sorry to hear this mate.I hate leaving mine in any car park. Some people just don't give a sh*t
  14. Welcome nice zed is it standard? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Without a doubt the zed still looks amazing considering its age. The Astra is just an Astra at the end of the day. I'm not mocking vauxhall in anyway as I still think they make a good car (and I have had a few as previous cars) I do not believe it would get the attention a zed gets on a day to day basis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I got caught up with a new shape focus st with mountune stickers all over it the other day. Obviously had some sort of work done as the exhaust wasn't standard and it was giving the odd puff of black smoke when he was on wot. We had a bit of a play on some private roads. I was surprised at how quick it was out of roundabouts (2nd gear) but after that it was clear the zed had the legs on it. I don't no what power it was but the mountune must have meant something. Why is it

Very true. Even though my zed is my daily, I still try to keep her mint. Parking away from everyone else in car parks to avoid door dents. Come out to find some idiot has parked next to me and opened the door onto my zed and scratched it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Exhaust guru's

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I just didn't want to jump into getting a custom one made if it potentially could upset the pressures and lose bhp. I'm not really up to speed on na exhausts as my previous cars were turbo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Exhaust guru's

Evening everyone, been thinking about getting a new cat back exhaust for my hr zed now for the last couple of months. Have been looking at the likes of milltek etc, but today went to a custom exhaust shop to get some ideas, they recommended new y pipe going into a 3 inch bore size pipe. I've been speaking to a few people which have said that is too big for the power of the car and can actually reduce bhp if too much back pressure is lost... What are your thoughts on this? The reason I was looking into custom exhausts is that the company who make these give a lifetime guarantee and have very good reviews from word of mouth and online. Thanks in Advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
