  1. I've never heard of this site before, if that is the japspeed I've not seen it cheaper anywhere else. Seems good value.
  2. For the sake of the internet these roads exists everywhere
  3. I also own a ep3 type r and that will hang no problem with the Z on the twistys and up to about 100mph.
  4. This ^ I was surprised to see a skoda fabia keep up with me not too long ago, granted it was only up to about 50mph. On the other hand I've recently had a run in with a focus RS, evo 6 and a type uk impreza sti and there was nothing in it up to 100 mph. Infact the Z started pulling on the scooby after 4th gear. Some people hate these threads, I find them quite interesting actually.
  5. The coupe look's so much better! The roadster kills the nice lines of the Z in my opinion. As above, if I was going to buy a convertible I'd go with an s2000.
  6. Mine gave up at 58,000 about 2,000 miles after purchase. Two lady owners before me, I'm passing the blame on to them
  7. Meh, it's not even that much cheaper than other Z's in that spec, I'd not bother personally.
  8. Update! Decided to cut the panels to 4 foot to keep the neighbor/council off our backs, Gonna make something for the top to finish it off, probably something similar to what's already in place behind it. She'll still complain no doubt but I can't see them making me take this down, it clearly looks much better. Now just need to finish the top of the fence, trim the overgrown conifers at the back and it's gonna start resembling a garden, pretty chuffed with it On another note we've just found out that someone recently bought one of these houses from the council for about 45 grand, Even though I can't stand the area I'm toying with the idea of buying the house if we can get it at a good price with the hope of it gaining some value once we've finished it. Could sell on in 5 years and move onto something bigger. Need to have a word with someone who knows their stuff to see if it's worth doing.
  9. Cheers lads, aye it's going up, I couldn't really care who it upsets. I'd have told my neighbour upfront had she been a reasonable person but I knew she'd make a fuss anyway. She tends to avoid us but makes constant complaints to the council and I keep catching her spying on us from the window. The people round here are just not normal.
  10. Here's an update with a picture to help explain myself better.... The fence with the holes in is 6 foot and was put up by the crazy cat lady. The posts have been put in by myself and we intend on attaching our fence panels to them so our fence is on our side and wont touch hers. We explained to the council that their are several houses in the area with these fences up already and they told us they will get back to us today, surprise surprise we heard nothing. I'm pretty tempted to just carry on and finish the job anyway. Just really don't want to spend a whole weekend doing so if we have no chance of keeping it up. Pretty fed up about the whole thing to be honest, we really want out the area but if we private rent the cost of living would be much higher and we could never save to get a mortgage. Feeling trapped
  11. Cheers! I'll keep you all updated, I should here something today hopefully.
  12. Cheers Ebized, it's not the planning department who's denied it, it's the council officer. Emma spoke to the housing officer today and they told her straight away it was not allowed. I'm pretty sure if someone comes out and looks over it they would change their mind as it's common sense really, the fence will improve the property and replace a broken old one. We are awaiting a call back from them so fingers crossed.
  13. Probably, if worst comes to worst this is the route I'll be taking. She will still complain no doubt, she's batty, she keeps ringing the council saying we're having wild parties till all hours of the morning. My girlfriend has a 4 year old so this certainly isn't the case. Honestly, my street is a right shambles (It's literally like something out of shameless ), the sooner we move out the better really. Getting a mortgage is going to require selling my Z and the Type R so I'm not super keen on that idea at the minute. Plus we've only been together a year so it's a bit early to be getting so heavily involved financially.
  14. Cheer flex I have done, the legal height for a back garden is 6 foot but for a front garden its 3 (or something like that). Our problem is the front garden is used as a back garden because of the stupid house layout. I'd have to get some pictures up to explain it better. Look's like I'm stuffed unless the council allow it anyway, more than a few houses have these fences separating the gardens so if they say no to me in theory all the other fences should be pulled down.
  15. I currently live in a council house with the Mrs while we bide our time until we can buy our own home. The layout of the house is a bit backwards, the back door is used as the front as theirs a road passing by and the front opens onto a big area of grass which people have turned into gardens by putting up fencing. We already have 6 foot fencing at the front giving us a garden which the previous tenants must have fitted but the fence has big square holes in the panels so we have no privacy. We went out and bought new fence panels and I've installed posts along the existing fence to fit them up against without really thinking about getting permission as the existing fence is already in place. Low and behold the crazy cat lady neighbor next door has complained and now the council say we can't put the fence up as it's too high. We have asked for this to be reviewed and explained the existing fence is already six foot and other houses in the street already have the fencing, I'm currently waiting for a call back. Aside from the obvious financial ball ache (I've spend about £350 quid on the fence), I've also wasted a whole day prepping the garden and installing the fence posts. If we don't get the permission to put this fence up it's the icing on the cake for me and I'll be looking to move house, the garden is the only thing about this house I really like and as the area itself is full of unemployed morons who sit about in their PJ's all day drinking, blocking them out of my view with this fence is an absolute must. So bit of a pointless rant but I needed to vent, lesson learnt get permission first in future even if I assume it will be acceptable. Anyone know how to remove 8 concrete posts from the ground? haha.....
  16. My car done something similar about 18 months ago, except I was driving and it lost power before going into limp mode then it wouldn't start. It happened twice and the second time I had to pay to be recovered back home. Woke up the next morning ticked it over and it started fine, problem never happened again. Still have no idea wtf happened!
  17. Defo! Sorry to hound you .........but I can't remember what your budget/spec requirements are? Just reduced mine on here to £7700??? Black coupe 06 with 32k on her. I'm looking fire a good home for herí ½í¸¥ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I did see it and it's defo within budget. It's a lovely looking car but if I'm honest the lack of GT spec puts me off a bit sorry í ½í¸ž I know retrofitting is a possibility but I don't think I'd ever see the cost back on resale. I hope someone comes along for it soon. Yeah I didn't know about gt spec when I bought it on impulse but it's only cruise and slippery leather seats missing! Hey ho thanks for good wishes. í ½í¸ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I bought mine without realizing it wasn't the GT (oops), doesn't bother me one bit but it's a right pita when it comes to selling it.
  18. Was already singing the song before opening the thread. GALVANIZE DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN!!
  19. As per thread title, on the look out for various mods for the Z. Nothing to specific, what you got?
  20. I don't think something required by law should be sold for profit by private companys. I work in insurance and have this opinion. I'm here to make a living, i don't have to agree with it.
  21. Think I say this at least once a week..... Spend more and get a better one. Under 5 grand for a 350Z is the bottom of the barrel. You might get lucky and pick a peach but it's more than likely you'll end up with a lemon 6 grand is a much better budget in my opinion. Good luck with your search and
  22. Did you not pass a meet by accident? I commute to Newcastle everyday and it's been weeks since I saw a Z, possibly months.
  23. Man I'm in the same boat at the minute! Currently renting with my girlfriend and while we can afford to live comfortably while driving/modifying our cars we both have zero savings. Probaly got about 15 grand worth of stuff in cars and disposable items but I just can't bring myself to let the 350Z go. I really need to consider it if I ever want to start saving for a house because the modding bug eats all my spare ££££££.
  24. They must be making a bloody fortune! haha.
