  1. 3 grand to wrap a car!! Thats insane.
  2. Heard a lot of good stuff about mirror finishes! And no you're not the only newcastle member
  3. Hindsight eh? I was worried about it being to low and catching bumps etc but it still has loads of clearance. If I could do it again I'd go 30mm for sure. Cheers for the nice comments tho GM and Meister. I'll just see how it sits once the new tyres are on. I'm planning on bodywork mods also which should help too.
  4. Ahh nice one fella. Loads of pictures. Looks great too!
  5. I know tarmac stock these and I really like the look of it but a google search isn't bringing back many pictures? Do people think this would look good on a otherwise standard body Z? My front bumper is stone chipped to death and is bringing the look of the car down, I quite fancy something a bit different anyway and this seems well priced and could be a birthday present to myself next month saying as I'm about to hit the big 30 Does anyone on here run this? I'd love to see more pictures if possible.
  6. I'm starting to get slightly frustrated when looking at my Z, it sits nice but it's just not quite low enough! I'm not bothered to the point of re-doing the suspension mods but if I can close the arch gap slightly in the near future when I buy new tyres that would be a bonus. It's currently running a slight stretch (245 on a 10J and 225 on a 9.5J). Am I right in thinking fitting the correct tyre sizes will help a little? I saw a picture on here with someone running the same springs as me (tein ss) and they had no gap at all. Thats how it sits at the minute ^ Any advice is appreciated as always
  7. + 1 for a how to guide.... I'm still runing the standard airbox and I noticed some cheap universal filters on ebay last night, I considered taking a punt on one to see if I could do this. I feel like most of the intakes for the Z are way overpriced for what they are.
  8. Too much £££££££
  9. Looks great! I really do need to paint my door handles black, looks much better on a silver Z.
  10. A video of the said noise will help the mechanical minded on here help you. Pretty hard to say based on the limited info in the thread fella.
  11. Yea not sure what it is about this forum but the vibes are much better than most. Probably wouldn't still own a Z if it hadn't been for this place.
  12. ...so surely driving like that is perfectly okay because he's driving a Z, right?! To be fair there's a pretty big difference between putting your foot down a bit when the road is safe to do so and driving like a total loon like the guy in this video. While I've stuck up for people talking about racing etc in the past on here I do not in anyway condone the driving in this video.
  13. To be fair he did kinda put himself to the jury with that post didn't he?
  14. I was waiting for this thread to get entertaining!
  15. My fob just decided to stop working overnight! Replaced the battery and still nothing. I've not got the spare at home either it's miles away at my dads house, currently setting the alarm off every morning to start her up
  16. Funny how many people frown upon speeding on here but I've seen a whole host of 350z-uk stickered Z's driving at "not recommended speeds" in real life. Obivously admiting it on a public forum is silly and a polite reminder to people who do so makes sense, no need to jump down the guys throat tho
  17. You realize tradelnk operates on this forum right? To be fair, it doesn't sound like a great experience but I've had waaaaay worse when buying a used car. Good luck with your search.
  18. Plus one for the exhaust option! It's a sports car, not a luxury saloon
  19. Just to mention for me the light fly is the best mod I've done so far and it would be the first thing I did if I ever bought another Z, makes the car much nicer to drive. (in my opinion).
  20. As above get the light flywheel while you're at it. It will only cost you more money and time in the long run if you dont! Plus the light fly makes heel and toe etc a treat.
  21. I wasn't saying you're not a petrol head if you let your car get marks and dings etc. Maybe I should have said he knew nothing about being a clean freak
  22. So am I not a petrolhead then as I'm more intrested in driving than cleaning my car ? Stop nit picking and looking for a reaction stevo!! Thats obviously not what i was saying
  23. I wouldn't mind paying £300-ish for the bumper and what not. Saying that I'm starting to consider going down the road of getting the whole car wrapped in another colour, I've seen some really nice wrap jobs round here recently and think it would look great on my Z. Or maybe I should just take his advice and stop spending my entire wage on the Z every month Thats probably not going to happen anytime soon tho!
  24. Since getting wheels and sorting the suspension out on the Z, all the little marks, dings and stone chips etc are really starting to get on my nerves. The front bumper is quite badly stone chipped and has had some touch up paint on the sides and while nobody else notices it, it's bothering my 350Z OCD I was curious to know what it would cost to get all niggles sorted and took it to a bodyshop, the bloke looked at me as if i was stupid, looked around the car and said something along the lines of "this cars meant to be driven and you'll be wasting your money by doing this" he wouldn't even give me a price!!! So this guy obviously knows nothing about being a petrol head and his salesman skills are questionable but I'm still no further forward as to what this may cost! What should I expect to pay for a front bumper respray and to have a few dings and scratches removed?
  25. Up it by a grand and bag yourself a much better one Looking on pistonheads etc their is very little at the 5k mark and nothing I'd part cash with. It's said over and over on this forum but it's not worth skimping on the initial cost on a car like this and if the extra 1k or so is going to be a problem financially, running it will be an even bigger issue as these are not cheap to maintain. Not trying to sound nasty, just being honest and
