  1. Got a good offer for my Zed from the dealership with the Evo x. Just need to wait till I go home and see what the final payment would be on the Zed before I start moving on it.
  2. Apart from the fact it's sold, it looks a solid car to me. Personally I hate the PCM2 sat nav but it's certainly desirable for resale purposes, and very rare in a 2.7 987.1. Car looks great in that colour, and has sensible wheels on too. It wasn't sole last night!! aw well then!
  3. Dont think I could pull a Jag off unless it was the XK8 or F type my dad has the 3.0 v6 s type so it would just look like I have nicked one of his cars Luxery barge could be a shout Coldel! Jay gone you swap your big yellow hing for that Dan, what do you make of this? http://www.amverselect.co.uk/used-cars/porsche-cayman-2-7-2dr-airdrie-201408066386677
  4. Thanks for the input guys, I suppose reliability is going to be a strong factor. I wouldn't have drastic slush fund Dan, would love to go get a 04 911 or something but way too worried if anything went wrong!
  5. One of the guys I worked with got rid of his because it was never out the garage for electrical issues. Would love one though!
  6. None 15K 2 seats/ 5 seats either. Cant have a vast array of parts available that I will end up blasting away modding again
  7. Mate honestly, I couldn't see one car that was better than the 350 in all departments. The evo gets me a back seat and is much faster. It also looks to have slightly better fuel running costs(not a factor but I can tell the misses this ) I looked at the A5 3.0 tdi but its slim pickings and the mileage is really high for what I want to pay. Here is the one I am looking at. http://www.autosalescars.co.uk/used-cars/mitsubishi-lancer-2-0-gs-fq-300-4dr-kirriemuir-201406034710401
  8. After watching the video Alex put on about building a GT-r I was winding the misses up saying I was going to buy one. Went on for while until she actually had a knife ready to stab me Anyways we continued talking and think it might be a good time to let her go. I got itchy feet a few months back and was looking but nothing took my fancy. Both my best mates got a new car within the last 2 weeks which really has me wanting a new car. The next car has to be faster and have back seats and be around the 15K mark. I looked at a couple of Caymans but with the money I am spending its not going to get me a car vastly different from my car. I have mailed a company about their Evo x FQ-300 this morning and waiting on a reply. Anyone had one of these or been in one? On a side note I will no doubt be Px but if someone was interested then you can always drop me a pm if they want the zed. Not 100% convinced but it could be time.
  9. Hey guys, Done a search and saw someone mention that there is a spring that wears out in the assembly of the clutch that could cause a Zeds clutch to be heavier than another Zeds. Got to drive Neilps car at the weekend there and his clutch is 90% lighter than mine. My left calf is so much over powered to my right that I now walk with a limp Clutch was changed 900miles before I bought the car but don't know what he swapped it too and if he done the fly at the same time. It doesn't slip or make any noises, doesnt even bother me until I drive another car and get back into it and get the fright I always get when I try to depress the clutch Any ideas? While I have you more mechanically minded Zedabits, the ECU remaps itself to accomadate different fuels etc. If you change the exhaust/ plenum etc does it take these into account and a an actual remap will get the best out of them? Or does it not take them into account and probably ruin the performance without getting a remap? Cheers
  10. New wheels Will, wakey wakey!!! Looking forward to see the wheels if its the ones you were telling me you were going to get !!!
  11. Thats what has taken you car from a 8 to a 10! Have been telling you for long enough. Love it mate, happy with it?
  12. I watched the one were ed built the beetle buggy. His slap stick comedy is absolute rotten
  13. Should we poll to get this thread locked? I can't see any gains to be had out of this thread. No one is going to change their mind and it seems to be tarring this forum. Yes I want to be well informed from the people with more time/interest to research into this but maybe not on the car forum I spend most my time on. I want to see people spending money on their car so I don't feel as bad about how much I spend on mine. The only negative forum I want to see is when someone brags about beating another car or someone asks what fuel they need to use or Stevo gets annoyed when someone mentions MPSS Anyone agree?
  14. This isn't aggresive in Scotland its called flirting Well said George, my partner is voting no as is her mum and dad. I am falling ever closer to yes as is my mum and dad. We are just crossing out each others votes
  15. As Neil said no one really uses those alloys for track as they're made with cement. The drifters would use them but the tyres aren't ideal for drifting. Might get a bite at £200.
  16. I thought you went for the Cobra system all the way, will be interested to hear it. Next it will be spacers,,,, then a wee front lip,,,, then chargespeed rear,,,,, then a big gay wing.
  17. Even this poll is bang on 50/50 at the moment
  18. Mine are very tight around the right reg light to the point it sits just a bit past the hole. Trying to change the light was a nightmare.
  19. Any half decent heavy metal music gets me fired up. Makes me drive like a numpty as well Killswitch engage - this is absolution Avenged sevenfold - Unholy confessions Bring me the horizon - Sleepwalking Bullet for my Valentine - Poison Rise to remain - Nothing left There is a few for you
  20. The HR (Hairy Roman) was designed for the car enthusiasts who have give up in life. They don’t want the neck breaking acceleration and gear changes of the DE, they want the much more smooth acceleration that harks back to their youthful days driving an underpowered car. The bulge is to make your “Hairy Roman†look a bit more adequate to the older females who also like a smooth ride. The better headlights are because the owners can see, the leather on the door cards are because the elders scraped their elbow on the rough plastic and they were bleeding for weeks.
  21. fair enough You do have tints and an exhaust, one of us, one of us!
  22. How? I have the HR bonnet and the 370 front end? mine looks more modern than yours Plus mines isn't named after a big hill
  23. I really dont get why all the English members are getting so wound up and making it personal? You can make an opinion like most of the other members like Coldel and Ekona without making sweeping statements about Scottish people and basically saying get it up you when it goes wrong. Not singling you out Jetpilot but there has been a few people throwing in smart remarks that are uncalled for. I really enjoy reading this as you really are getting both sides of the argument but lets not make assumptions and tar everyone with the same brush.
