  1. Buy one of these: (measure first as i don't know the correct sizes) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Personalised-Car-Sun-Strip-130cm-x-15cm-Car-Graphic-Advertising-/151796950900?hash=item2357cda774:g:IWgAAOSwMNxXaua6 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUN-STRIP-1850mm-x-245mm-FIT-LARGE-VAN-TRANSIT-GRAPHICS-DECALS-STICKER-/121479425410?hash=item1c48bced82:m:mzXYM5PGN1RQJwswS8fiibQ then stick whatever sticker you want on it. I will say, you should probably be a very good drifter to be running a driftworks sun strip... I'd personally say find a company who are happy for you to display their logo and they might give you a sticker big enough for one for free. Japspeed sell them big enough
  2. Also, you don't say but I presume you're using a really powerful paddle type clutch? That could have fatigued any number of things in the gearbox if you're clutch kicking it a lot, the prop breaking would then have put a huge shock through the box which could have been the final straw... Not trying to put a downer on it, just possible issues.
  3. If you've done enough damage to snap the prop, I'd say you could have also snapped the input shaft on the gearbox, which is why the wheels still spin in gear with the engine off. THAT could be a problem depending on where it's broken. The clutch plate and the flywheel would allow the engine to turn the wheels on tickover (only in the air obviously), but anything more it would just slip and spin I'd imagine. Edit: spelling
  4. Very kind offer Although I'd suggest ditching the microfibres and getting one of their big f*ck-off carrot cakes instead Hotdog (or two!), terry towels, microfibres, 12x danishes, big box of crisps and a crate of pepsi, every time without fail
  5. +2 for the costco jack edit: if you're local to farnborough, Hampshire or Sunbury in Middlesex I can meet you there and get you in to buy one. The condition is you buy me a hotdog and a soda when we leave (super cheap, don't you worry ) this offer is open to all who use the forum. Would also recommend the microfibres at the same time, cheap enough to use and then bin
  6. I'd presume they do, I got a normal sized BMX in the boot of mine once. If you're buying new, ask the shop if you can try and fit it in. For a genuine sale I'm sure they'd have no problems at all with that.
  7. I think we had to get to 10 tonnes to press them out, from memory that is. Our press is 15 tonnes and I remember there being not much left. It's pretty easy though if you do have a big enough press.
  8. Do real carbon. Please.
  9. are the flywheel and pressure plates definitely on correctly? If you haven't lined up the dowel pins on each it could be causing an issue with the pressure plate.
  10. I won't say who, just in case they don't want it public knowledge, but one of our forum members is in this very video!
  11. I'd think RT would need to chop each piece into several bits to get them to fit. The amount of fibreglass, filler and time it would take would be horrendous.
  12. Might look silly as I don't own a shotgun Umbrella rack? I haven't even wired in a radio yet, let alone fancy stuff
  13. Thankfully not! We grew up with horses as a family, she went to work in America for 6 months on a ranch type place and fell in love with old american trucks there. The day she saw the truck she asked if I could drive her to the wedding, for her, the tattier the truck the better She actually had a rolls royce (apparently from downton abbey?) drive the couple from the church to the venue, was a really cool car too.
  14. Apologies for the lack of updates! I had a mishap with a drill, a holesaw, some steel and my hand. I had to take a couple of weeks off as I had some very deep cuts lengthways into my fingers. Once I was able to get back to working on the truck I was massively behind and my sisters wedding was approaching fast so I forgot to update everyone. Pictures of my hand below, it doesn't look terrible, but apparently if they'd gone across the finger instead of down, I'd have lost one of them. Because the cuts on my index finger were so close together they couldn't stitch them, so it was a case of strips and prayers Luckily it's healed up almost perfectly now I had a few amusing *VERY MUCH NOT AMUSING AT THE TIME* issues in the build, which have all now been fixed. I'll list them out below, they are quite long, so sorry! 1) Electrical gremlins...maybe 2) I killed the engine.... maybe 3) MOT day and legend companies! 4) The wedding day! 5) I nearly ruined the day! Below are progress pictures along the way: Smoothing in the side reflectors on the rear cutting out the rear to allow for a traditional chrome bumper to go on. I also had to remove a towbar, which had been welded in so badly I actually managed to break the welds using a club hammer! the front is all together! It doesn't look patchworky enough to pull off the multi coloured front, so we had a think... I painted the grille black to match! Two days before the wedding I had a ton of little jobs to do, so the fantastic Michael Young (madmikester on here I believe) came over and we worked all day on the truck, ate pizza and then at 3am literally slept in the bed of the truck, we then got up at 9 and worked for the whole day solid. Bed time!: We decided to paint the leading edge of the bonnet black to bring the grille and the wings together, eventually it will all be turquoise and for those who noticed... NOT stripey either On the wedding day: Unfortunately my new chrome front bumper didn't arrive in time, so we had to roll with the horrible fibreglass one which had terrible paint for a few weeks Future plans include, 15x10" wheels with street drag wrinkle wall tyres. I have one wheel for now to test and to make everything fit: Some new fancy wing badges: a mexican blanket! I also just received some awesome engine dress up bits a few weeks ago, I'll get pictures when they're fitted, but here's the bay for now. It needs some attention for sure I think that's everyone pretty much caught up for now. Any specific pictures/requests, just ask. I'll try and keep this more up to date now!
  15. All I say, is if the trader is being difficult, get the mods involved, it's what they're here for. Those look like Stevie Wonder made them with his feet, you'd need shares in bodyfiller and fibreglass to make those fit properly. Occasionally body parts do come out warped or with imperfections, you'd just hope that the seller would have a test rig to throw the parts on to. I did wonder if it was another Knight Racer special, but they're not a trader on here, so I guess not.
  16. You could say that about the phone though And energy. Technically, we're still in the steam age, despite our fancy nuclear reactors. We haven't made a leap away from it since the late 17th century, when we came up with the idea of steam power. We've just discovered better ways to generate steam. Never thought of it like that. So right!
  17. Random trips over, pulls cord out of the wall at a funny angle and damages the socket, you sue them for criminal damage and for emotional distress as it was hate crime against electric car lovers, they pay for you electric bill forever.
  18. More importantly; they're not going to sell it in the UK, so you can't buy it.
  19. The nascar parts are surprisingly cheap. The chassis of the car is re-used for multiple races, but the body isn't as it's mostly steel and needs to be perfect for each race. 40 odd cars per race weekend leaves a lot of body parts to be sold off. You're talking less than £200 for a cool part, with some decent sponsors/numbers etc on them. Whenever I go to the states I buy old licence plates to go up, my wife always says "not more old crap tat for you to hang up" haha. I'm a secret american really
  20. His profile views for today are crazy, I'd say it's selling season too
  21. I'm not sure who that is... but I'm going to go with no We have four of those wall panels per side, three are free for stuff to be attached to them.
