  5. Sorry for the delay So, i have the car back and some quick snaps for the time being, till i can find a better location I wanted something i could use on the road as well as the track without sacrificing the overall ride. Opted for some Nismo S Tune shocks i found going for a great price, only problem was the owner had cut down the original S tune springs to give him a better stance, not really a problem as after some research apparently the shocks work better with Eibachs. I could have gone coilovers but in reality in previous experience, once you set the ride height it never gets touched and you very rarely make too many dampening adjusts and i must admit, these seem very compliant Also added some Eibach camber control arms to bring the camber back into line. Also managed to find a HKS true dual exhaust and berks hfc's! Coupled the shock set up with a 2nd hand set of nearly new Eibach anti roll bars and what a difference, the front end now goes where you want it, without that washy feeling like the front end is scrubbing out. My first track day last year didnt leave me to confident in the stopping department so added a front set of Dba discs and Ferrodo DS2500 pads as they needed changing anyway plus some Hel braided lines, rears to follow, i havent the chance to use in anger yet but you seem to get a better feel now on the road. I was pretty happy with the look when i got it, just added some headlight eyebrows and as of today, Chargespeed rear. Whilst all apart i took the opportunity to get all the rear lights tinted with film and the fronts will follow Few items for the future will be, hr bonnet and get the wing mirror backing plate sprayed black and also some 370z side repeaters. Also added some window tints as soon as i got it. In the original photos the car also came with a nice set of 19" Volks, most saw what they turned out like in their new colour (purple) but wanted something new this year and must say, after quite some messing about, i am so chuffed with the colour scheme of my Weds Kranze Borphes. House of Kolor Cocoa Pearl centres with a ltd edition Nissan black lip, it has a very very slight gold pearl in it I hope you like and if you dont, thats actual good to, as dont want to appeal to the masses I am in the process of a bit of interior and under hood refresh so will update soon as most just needs putting in
  6. Currently awaiting a lift to go get my car back from the bodyshop and i am all excited!! I think i need to get a grip at 43!!
  7. Just checked the quote I got, wasnt actually as far away from that as I thought, they are offereing you more discount than my friends bodyshop gets though! Cant ever see you getting it cheaper, snap it up
  8. Just over a year and unless my budget increases substantially there really isnt much else that floats my boat enough to want to sell up for!
  9. Thats cheap, got a price about a month ago using a mates bodyshop discount for more than that
  10. Looking at the images on google, there seems to be a couple of types, but either one looks like it would be pretty loud without centre silencer. Pending on where you live, you should be able to find an exhaust place that can make something up easily enough I am just too slow today
  11. There should be some numbers on the jasma stamp which will tell you the manufacturer, but If its got Apexi, i guess its made by them, decent jdm brand! Missed Lex's reply whilst typing
  12. Yeah just spotted them Need to know what material they are. I think the key words are, like any "frp", they are fiber glass buddy Didn't know that meant fibre Was hoping they were metal..... You probably wont find any after market wings in metal buddy Any particular reason you wanted metal? Always thought these were - http://www.showoffim...productid=44002 Not really sure tbh Will certainly go a long way to sorting your issues and cheaper than messing around with discs, brackets etc

  15. If am not mistaken after a chat with Keyser last week, these wings are an 1" wider Quick: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87761-garage-clear-out-loads-of-cool-things/
  16. Not at all, just from practical first hand experience and informative articles with back to back testing http://www.modified....aust-test-tech/
  17. Its not that straightforward, 2.5 x 2 does not equal the same flow as a single 5". You need to use pye r squared formula. Or just look at link I posted Gains are minimal on a normally aspirated engine, so 2.5 inch is more than adequate, any larger and you would probably loose hp. A balance between flow and back pressure!
  18. Me too, 46g on impact according to the telemetry!
  19. A 3" exhaust on a turbocharged engine will be good for at least 750BHP, so its not likely to limit an N/A engine, An N/A engine needs an exhaust system that designed around the engines pulse characteristic's, whereas a turbocharged engines biggest restriction is the turbo it self, so anything you can do to make the exhaust after the turbo flow more freely will help power, so doing the same to a N/A engine will just result in disappointment. I personally wouldnt agree with that, i ran a 3" system on my Rx7, it was running 450bhp on low boost, over 500bhp on high boost, still only 1.1-1.2 bar, i swapped to a 3.5" system, the turbo spooled quicker and result in a few more bhp, had i gone to 4" i would have noticed similar improvement again http://www.exhaustvi...-pipe-diameter/ A 3" exhaust on a turbocharged engine will be good for at least 750BHP, so its not likely to limit an N/A engine, An N/A engine needs an exhaust system that designed around the engines pulse characteristic's, whereas a turbocharged engines biggest restriction is the turbo it self, so anything you can do to make the exhaust after the turbo flow more freely will help power, so doing the same to a N/A engine will just result in disappointment. There are plenty of people that run 5" systems on turbo cars May apply to a rotary due to they need scavenging effect to work effectively, but in general a 3" exhaust will be fine for your std configuration turbocharged combustion engines, i ran 550BHP on my Supra with a 3" exhaust, and know plenty of others making far more power on a 3" exhaust, and others running in excess of 1000BHP on a 4". system. But in any case i think you guys have misunderstood my point, i was mealy saying that on a N/A engine a large exhaust was not necessary, and indeed contrary to making power, whereas a turbocharged engine needed a large sized exhaust. So the 750BHP was a genaralisation. No didnt misunderstand A car will happily run the figures you quoted on 3" exhausts, but you will get better gains from a larger exhaust as the chart suggests

  21. I used to love getting me knee down, trouble is its addictive! A mate of mine never got his knee down, but he sure was difficult to keep up with
  22. If you want mid level noise and no drone, decats is definitely not the way forward! Not seen many 3" systems, i would only say 3" would be worthwhile if you are fi.
