  1. I'm 5'10" and have the seat all the way back but in quite an upright position and I find it really comfortable - pedals just under my feet and arms slightly bent when on the wheel. But every time the car has a service the seat is always in the full forward position - which makes me wonder as all the tech's I've seen at the dealer seem to be around my height. Unless there's an army of oompa loompas that do the actual work....
  2. Nice job - looks really great I was thinking about doing something similar with my existing Rays - can the same sort of thing be done if they are re-furbished? (Don't know exactly what I'm talking about here - but can I have my existing Rays re-coloured the same as this?)
  3. I remember the TV adverts for the Zed which never actually showed car in full - just fleeting glimpses of a section here and there. That was enough to intrigue me - so I went to a dealer and had a look around an actual car. And that's when I got hooked. Taking a look around it I could find no angle from which I didn't like the look of it - and so I ordered one there and then. I thought that for the money I was paying I was getting a lot of car - much more than the 28k it cost new. And after ten years I'm still happy with it. My dream car? Yes, its turned out that way
  4. Congratulations! Welcome to Zed ownership. You'll find that one of the pleasures of ownership is this forum. I know little about cars but this forum has mentored me in many ways of the Zed for which I'm hugely grateful.
  5. Good stuff - thanks for the info
  6. I like the Zed because its a great car but understated... so your look is not for me
  7. Could it be this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68596-clunking-on-passenger-front-wheel/page__hl__plywood#entry1021536
  8. Regular checking of the oil level is the key - my Zed is on 101k miles and I check every couple of weeks. I use Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30 fully syth for my top ups.
  9. Apologies for bumping this thread but... Took the day off yesterday and spent it all day in the Zed just driving where ever I thought a road might lead somewhere interesting... The Lust and the Love is still there
  10. Wonderful pics My (gunmetal) Zed is 10 years old and still looks great - treated it early on with Zaino products, perhaps that's made the difference? It seems to look as good today as when I first bought it - compared to all other cars I've owned (MR2, Astra SRi, XR2) whose paint work seems to steadily deteriorate over time
  11. Urrmm.... isn't that every 9,000 miles
  12. I'm on my third set of Bridgestones and each set lasts between 25-30k. But I do zero motorway miles and rarely any heavy braking.
  13. I'd go the insurance route just for the peace of mind of knowing it will be done properly. Not your fault a nineteen year old ran into you - consider it his introduction into the school of hard knocks. Today's lesson - actions have consequences.
  14. Looks great - you must be very happy with them
  15. I tried the toothpaste method and it works just fine
  16. Same experience for me - started working intermittently, then went completely dead and now works fine again Just wondering if it's temperature related - as it was a very hot day when it failed completely.
  17. Hmmm... this might be worth looking into - anyone recommend somewhere near south Manchester?
  18. My OEM CD player broke after about 5 years - my Nissan dealer quoted £1000 to replace the head unit
  19. 1 - its 10 years old and I still love it
