I've been here coming up to a year now, The Zed didn't make it a full year, but I did I've met some incredible people on here, and some really good friends that will be stuck with me for life. (Tough Luck!) when I signed up, I really wasn't expecting anything like this, maybe 2 welcomes, a few posts on a build thread saying 'looks good' and basically the forum worshiping 2 or 3 awesome looking zeds. But it was the complete opposite, everyone says welcome, everyone has a build thread with 100's come compliments (Even if you have a BGW, BMW Centre Caps, Nismo Stickers, Stupid Sized Wheels etc ) and with pretty much everyone treated equal So all I'm trying to say is, Thank you and here is to another 5000 posts! I've been on track when my car was standard, runs and handles fine. At the end of the day on track, there is always a risk as I found out. Did all my usual checks, oil, fluids brakes etc. Engine still blew up You can do all the checks in the world and you may still run into an issue. Just make sure your fluids are at correct level Pads are in good condition/along with discs. Good tread on tyres. Don't let this put you off though, when I get a new engine I'll be straight back out there.
