  1. My mate nearly pi**ed himself laughing the other week when I waved a random Zedder in Leeds and got a wave back, it blew his tiny Peugeot driving mind.
  2. Flying out tomorrow for a few days touring before the weekend. Getting the world's fastest car, don't know make & model yet, but rental with damage waiver You still driving down Octet?
  3. Another one cured by the Zman kit. Refused to come back up after spells sat in traffic, in the heat. All good since and my super techs had it done in double quick time, though the bleed was slightly tricky - until you read the workshop manual that is!
  4. Yup, agree.... I'm not trying to upset anyone here, but when I use the word 'magnet' I'm talking about someone turning their head and going 'Wow' because they really like the looks of the car, not someone being attracted to draping themselves over it (and potentially causing significant paint damage) because they are being paid to do it. I feel there is a significant difference between the two. Personally, I'd drape myself over a Fiat Multipla if you paid me a bit - and lent me a step ladder. ps - don't bother googling 'Fiat Multipla babe' - I tried it and nothing comes up. How much would we need to raise, as a forum, for this shoot to happen?
  5. Meg's endurance and applicator works nicely for me.
  6. This might be the best comment I've ever read.
  7. Non-symmetrical things freak me out, please put it back in the middle where it belongs Other than that, beautiful zed, I'd be severely tempted not to change a single thing.
  8. What kind of rat b@stard psychotic would make that song. The possibility... of physical and mental collapse... is now very real. No sympathy for the devil. Keep that in mind.

You're welcome to my old one if you want it. Worked when it came out 6 months ago, wrapped it up in bubble wrap and not touched it since. I believe they are married to the ECU so you'll need a code from a dealer(?) to make it work - no idea what that would cost. All I'd want is postage (unless your in North West) and you to donate a modest fee to the forum. It's not had iPod hack, or channel fix, it was literally in there working for about 3 days after I bought The Shark before I went for an upgrade - i.e. any other HU since 2010. At the risk of doing myself out of a sale, almost anything you're willing to pick up from Halfrauds will be better and have bluetooth, proper sized screen, AUX in, lesss chance of devlepoing some of the Bose "features", warranty etc......
  10. Gave her a bit of a going over today; snow, TBW, PBs white diamond and a splash of PBs liquid natty's blue - all because the sun was staying in bed. But, just as I finished, she popped out and I couldn't resist a little run out. Should've taken the proper camera, but not bad for t'iPhone n t'iPhoto.
  11. +1 on poorboys for ease of use, cost and also final finish. Not a fan of their quick detailer, but that's by the by on this one.
  12. Unlucky mate, what kind of chickenshit ***** does that? I'd or GDUK-JAP-PARTS see if any breakers in.
  13. As per RT's warning I'm the person who hasn't driven an S2000, but loves his Zed. However, I won't flame as described above as I've read enough posts to know he's even handed. And I don't know that much, but... ... I was thinking about an S2000 when I bought the Zed, I preferred then, and do now, the look of the Zed - I know this isn't a massive thing, but it counts. When I drive past S2000s I don't feel any envy, maybe some curiosity. I fully intended to test drive a S2000 but I fell in love with the first Zed I drove and bought it. As for how that impulsive decision went? I think the comfortable, laid back, GT drive I have in the Zed to work, with the option of spirited drive when I get the itch - is ace. It's two beasts, controlled by one foot. But don't do what I did, defo drive them both and see what suits your moods. I think everyone will agree they're both strong cars.
  14. that's a very nice Zed, wheels are fit.
  15. Jesus that looks terrifying. Good skills. Took me all morning to fit and route a wire! Love this thread.
  16. I'm no mechanic but I'm sure I've seen something on here about remembering to put the sump plug back before you start to fill her up
  17. Not sure TBH, once the HFCs go on and the money is around I'll make some calls to the places before I commit the funds. I imagine they keep records... It certainly feels fast
  18. Not every step with Zeditis is a step forward, thanks go to a little bit of steel on some plant pots for this undesired "mod". An embarrasing trip back to the bodyshop to get her fixed but not to bad at £65 Looks like I need a cam up front as well...
  19. Little update for today. Finally got the reverse cam working as intended, not especially complex job but still took two goes. The kind of job that requires patience (especially jamming the headunit and centre console back in - grrrrrr) which I am not blessed with. Couple of thanks to dish out, firstly to AFTERSHOX for this guide: http://www.350z-uk.c...l-–-superguide/ It was indispensable for ripping out the trim and routing wires I strongly urge anyone thinking of doing this mod to read this first. It might not all apply, but a lot will. Thanks also to BulletMagnet for some tech support when this was not looking so good for me, and also SMD - is he even still around here these days? Probably on some Saga Jaaaag owners holiday - for answering a few questions before I got going and giving me some pointers and the confidence to give it a whirl. Pics below, just cos I love 'em. Pretty the cam, just pokes out the plate bulb space - much less prominent than the pic suggests. The output up in the bridge, fully auto-switching now - thanks BM. Well pleased with this little mod, especially since the rear wiper delete and return of the rain. One of the more practical mods and all for about £30.
  20. Cracked this today. Thanks for the comments, especially yours BM. I'll post up a couple of pics on my build thread,
  21. I had trouble too, orange peel city, even after lacquer. So I gave up, rubbed it down with about 1500 grit wet and dry and used whatever liquid polish I could find in the shed, came out great Cheers for the tip. I actual picked up plastic primer & filler, leveller and rubbing compound in rattle cans today. Going to have another run at them. I'll bare your polish experience in mind. Ta.
  22. Easy to get off (I'm not mechanically gifted) first few steps of this guide for driver's then onto step 9 for passenger's. http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/front_speakers/ I'm actually finding getting a spot on painted finish quite tricky, but I'm persevering. RT sent me this when I asked about painting. http://www.ehow.com/how_2062197_spray-paint-like-pro.html
  23. Look great and I don't think the price is too high. If you called out an emergency plumber he'd want £75 just to arrive, this job is way more important
