  1. I always find it hard to believe that an owner of a modified Zed isn't a forum member
  2. Managed to find one thanks Bradders. Half expected the hierarchy of the forum to frown upon this post as it is not PC I think AJ will struggle against the likes of Haye. Would make an interesting fight, although I wouldn't mind seeing him up against Deontay first. Generates the potential for an all British unification (should both AJ and Fury win). Exciting times.
  3. Hi Guys, Could anybody recommend a live stream for the AJ fight? Thanks
  4. Thanks Ceejay - I know it can be too easy for Modzilla to set in sometimes and before you know it you go a bit far! How come you chose Monosports in the end? Yes Modzilla is always my concern Went for the Monosports as I like the sound of the EDFC, wouldn't mind going for the Active unit although it is pricey.
  5. Don't over do it JJ, she is looking good. Subtle mods retain the OEM lines whilst adding aggression and presence. I think you are there mate. The only future mod I can foresee is potentially a new set of wheels. Although it looks fine on the Rays. I'd also be wary of going to low. I have sacrificed driveabilty for aesthetics a number of times over the years, to the extent in the zed where I couldn't fill up the petrol tank. The arch gap looks fine and will be close to what I expect to achieve once I get my replacement coilovers on. Nearly went for the V3's but bought Monosports instead as I would like EDFC. Kind of regretting it now after your review,...we will see Oh and btw, I retract my comment about the Z4.....I much prefer the 370 now Good work and nice write up
  6. All the best guys, sounds like an onerous task, although I would expect the both of you to make light work of it
  7. Probably a daft question, but how old is the battery? The reason I ask is that I have experienced something similar in the past. The car would sometimes start with the air-con engaged and wouldn't switch off when prodding buttons, same issue with the EML and TCS light. The only option was to shut her down and fire up again (often struggling to turn over). Really bizarre as it was completely random. On the odd occasion I would also lose power in a similar manner to what you are describing. Tried a new camshaft position sensor and crank position sensor amongst other items with little luck. I persevered for months but did't have much faith in driving it as it was pot luck. In the end I sidelined the car for around a month or so which resulted in the battery dying. After fitting a new battery and 3-4 four months of issue free driving, I realised that the gremlins has vanished. Two years later, along with a number of prolonged hibernations, I am pleased to say that the car hasn't missed a beat.
  8. The 370 looks ace, especially in the last two photo's. But dayyuum that Z4 is sweet
  9. Hi Adrian, I am going to by installing some headers at some point, I am marrying nismo headers with japspeed silenced decats (terrible I know). I will require some new gaskets, any idea on which ones to go for. I presume the 350z DE Berk BT1401-GASKET would suffice? Thanks
  10. Gotta love 'care free driving'
  11. Just had a read of your build thread! This will be a great purchase for someone. It looks relatively OEM; but boy is it not! No expense spared, it must drive superbly.
  12. You could try pulling some light weight fishing wire though Yes I would try this over the knife. Typically the method employed when removing badges etc.
  13. Mine is still in hibernation Each October I wave goodbye to the Zed and typically re-tax it come April, although this year it will be a little later as I have so much kit to install. I haven't had any issues over the years, despite being warned on many occasions. I tend to change the oil and coolant and obviously give it a good detail. Chocks are in place and the handbrake is off. The battery will remain on the car until it dies; this generally permits me to start her up every 3-4 weeks and whip her out for two mins to keep everything moving. Now as you have alluded, 3 weeks often turns to 6 and the battery dies. At this point I remove the battery as I dont have power at the garage and hook it up to a CTEK charger. I return to the garage with the battery when need be. I would invest in a CTEK charger rather than retrofitting PV's, its a great bit of kit. I actually drove my Zed last night, brakes were initially binding although after a 2 mile run they were fine. Remember to check levels, pressures and key rubbers (tyres, hoses and belts) etc. I am sure that some put their car on axle stands, remove wheels, wrap the brakes and use a cover cover. I typically prefer not to do this as my garage is too small and I like to keep the Zed rolling (albeit circa 10 miles over 6 months ). My daily driver is a hanging Golf 1800T. Care free driving it nice, although boy is it fun when you return to the Zed again
  14. Didn't notice the price for those. Are they specific to Bi-Xenon face-lifts? Potentially a good purchase and I say this after upgrading my headlights; I can't imagine returning to my old set up.
  15. A few have suggested subtle modifications; would it not be best to keep it OEM and preserve its value/maximise appreciation? I suppose you could keep all of the parts...
  16. Yesss! What a beaut . It's a shame that you are located in Scotland, would love to see one in the flesh.
  17. You were right Rich; despite advertising a 10 day lead time upon purchase I have been told that there is now a four week delay!
