  5. What' s your kit car..? Unfortunately you don't have the required number of posts to advertise it on here, but I'm sure you can say what it is or PM me the details.
  6. Not really, we got some press passes from the ACO a week or so before the event. We did give them a good story though..! I will keep my ear to the ground for you and see whose about, . PM me with your details and when your going, plus a mobile number you can be contacted on if something comes up at short notice while your there.
  7. Unfortunately I'm not going this year, we were looking at flying down on Fri and back on Sun evening but my mate with the plane has now decided not to go as his wife is due to give birth around that time and knowing his bad luck it will happen on the Sat evening during the race. I'll have a word about and see who else is going who is associated with a Team.. You could apply to the ACO for a Press pass on behalf of the Forum, worth a try.
  8. Nice Zed, good price, Don't think the mileage will put people off, we all understand that imports arrive with kilometres and then get converted to MPH, don't see a problem there....!!
  9. There are a few of my mates driving again this year , so hopefully I might get a bit of inside info and photos to pass on here again.
  10. 24 000 spectators attended the 2014 Le Mans 24-Hours test day at the Le Mans circuit. The two Toyotas that have already won the first two races this season showed they are still as quick as ever. In LM P2, Morgan set the quickest time and in GTE Pro and GTE Am this honour went to Porsche and Ferrari respectively. 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours - Test Day Toyota tops the time sheets: Entry List for 2014. http://www.24h-lemans.com/en/race/entry-list_2_2_1980.html Results of Yesterdays Test Day. http://www.24h-leman...ce-combined.pdf
  11. Welcome to The Land of Zed. Good to have a Nissan employee on here we might get a bit of inside info..
  12. Not the best start to the week.. Hope you get it sorted soon and the other guy accepts responsibility.
  13. As I previously posted yesterday in another thread, this is exactly what happened to me yesterday at Tesco, parked a mile from any other cars came back 30 mins later to find a Z4 about 2" from my door, rest of car park still half empty, I had to squeeze in to the Zed and I'm not that small..! It boils my pi55 this does...
  14. Nissan Zeod RC on track at Le Mans for the first time. The Nissan ZEOD RC completed its first 24 laps of Circuit de la Sarthe with GT Academy winner Wolfgang Reip and two-time Le Mans P2 winner Tommy Erdos at the wheel. While the car was delayed with two small technical issues – a broken fuel pump issue and a broken exhaust – today’s test was an important step in the development of the car that aims to complete an entire lap of Le Mans on pure electric power. “Today has been a very important step in the development of the car and what we have achieved is actually quite remarkable,†said NISMO’s Global Head of Brand, Marketing & Sales, Darren Cox. “We knew we were tackling a huge challenge with the goal of building a car that could complete an entire 8.5 mile lap of Le Mans on nothing but electric power. We have certainly discovered why nobody has tackled it previously. “We completed large sections of the circuit today on EV power and learned a great deal,†Cox continued. “Today was about testing the systems and ensuring the transition from electric to internal combustion power was seamless. Testing at other venues is extremely valuable but there is no substitute to running here at Le Mans. We ran with the test car today and we’ll continue to test with the actual race car all week back in the UK before heading back for the race. “I’m very proud of everyone associated with the programme because of the amount of work that has gone in. Today was very rewarding. Our guys already feel like they have raced the 24 hours already – they did two all-nighters last week. The level of commitment to showcase what this programme is capable of is truly remarkable.†The Nissan ZEOD RC team will continue testing in the UK this week with the actual race car, which will replace the test machine that was used today. Super GT regulars Satoshi Motoyama and Lucas Ordóñez will return from Japan to join Reip at the wheel for the race.

  17. This very rare, one off red-on-white McLaren F1, worth over $3 million, lost control, flipped over and crashed into a tree while participating in a convoy of 4 Mclaren F1s. Actor, Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), was part of the convoy and was the first to aid the driver and passenger, both of whom survived. Mr. Bean crashed his own Mclaren F1 a few years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8urShMlqN2E
  18. PM Zmanalex.. .Sure he can help.
  19. Just thought I would post this up from the Subaru Team who came second, not sure why I have posted this photo..
  20. The Jim Clark Rally is a very popular rally, it may have to find a new route and be run under different regs, but I cannot see it been banned, nobody knows exactly why the spectators were in a restricted area, we can only speculate. I was sitting on the barriers at the kink in Le Mans early morning sharing a bottle of scotch with the local Gendarmerie when Win Percy went off in the Jag and nearly killed us.. but our decision to sit there and we were most certainly in a restricted area. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rTzIIOr-yto
  21. No problem with the Forum, but Tapatalk is always a problem, you just have to persevere with it.
