  1. Let me start again... Nice grill, looks good.
  2. I remember a build with an M3 lump in it... http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=24422 I am sure a V6 would fit?
  3. Oh yea, I just read the original post and am now thinking why Will said PM Tarmac? Duh!
  4. Maybe I should have more lows... So i can turn up to rolling road days just to go home early because I cant even get on the ramps.
  5. He means, send Tarmac (A user on here) a Private Message about supplying you a new grill.
  6. Apparently if you exceed 70mph while doing it there is ...........
  7. My mates E36 Evo pulls away from my Zed easily enough. They are incredible cars even to this day imo.
  8. Mine does it. Not that I really care whether it did or didn't.
  9. No way... a 35 profile looks like a lick of paint and looking at the car side on it just looks daft imo (thats with it being stretched). 40 profile is perfect IMO. Ive ran both. If you are running 275 35 though it will look completely different to a 255 on the same rim. My 255 / 35 looked crap.
  10. Keep the spacers... The offsets are a little weak (Same as standard Rays nearly) so with the spacers you will have a nice offset. Then you might just get a 275 on the rear.
  11. As above. 90% of people run that size on 19. You will have no issues. If he isn't lowered too much. And has a weak offset. Nobody even asked this. If he has a strong offset -5 or more then a 275 will be no good without flaring the arches. If you are standard ride height then a 275 is what the recommended tyre size should be.
  12. 225 and 255 is what I would recommend for a very small stretch. Also, a 30 profile will look very skinny. I would go 40. These are my opinions.
  13. I would be annoyed if my hr only made 297 at the fly with them mods lol. This is hub figures I'm sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ah, HR. My bad.
  14. Cosworth drop on filters Cobra unres exhaust Berk decats Abbey uprev remap Shell vpower Am I missing something here, 297BHP at the Hubs or Fly?
  15. Ridiculous. Despite the price reduction its a stupid amount to spend on something that's damaged. Funny thing is, if its damaged in transit they have probably made a claim and got the majority of the money back.
  16. Its like when one of your friends says, oh did you hear about "Sue", but then says, oh no i cant tell you! or was it just a general question but there was nothing specific you wanted to know, but you just wanted to know if anyone had knowledge of the mythical rotary Or it could be that I don't spend every day on this forum, and this is the first time i have returned since making this thread? Probably not as noticed you were on later that day as thought it was odd you hadnt checked back To answer you questions imho: If your ripping the engine out i wouldnt worry to much about who has build it and when, even selling a good engine 2nd with a reputable builder tag is hard work these days. Andy, Me, LMC all have broken their Rx7's for spares, i would very much think Guy would too if it wasnt a 2001 model. Hopefully that tells you all you need to know about prices. I have to be honest, i havent seen many whole cars sell recently (especially expansive ones), the ones that are advertised for £9k will sit there for ages with the price coming down and down. Only late spec 99+ can command a decent price tag. I think the world is your oyster if your putting a V8 in one as its really only the engine condition that commands any sort of price at the moment. Hope that helps. That's good to know. Although people are so set on making sure the engine is compression tested and whether its been rebuilt, are the engines as weak as everyone makes out? Rotary engines I really don't know an awful lot about. The FD is one of the nicest looking cars ever built in my opinion, especially when you bare in mind the era it was designed it still looks very modern. Everyone says they are money pits, I guess the large portion of this is to do with the lump? If I can pick up a decent rolling shell I have seen there is a wealth of knowledge regarding V8 transplants, it should be a fun project!

  18. What I wanted to know is why they are so different in price... For example, I have seen a mint FD with decent mileage ready to run for £2500. Yet I see a similar spec going for £9000. Is it because of the engine rebuild on the higher price car? I am looking for an FD so that I can put an LS V8 in to it, I saw a ruined example on eBay and it had all the doors missing and all sorts and he wanted £1600 for it! So I am on the lookout still.
